Genetic factors and gene polymorphisms leading to the onset of autoimmune response in autoimmune hepatitis(AIH)are still not full *** the CTLA-4 molecule is a key modulator of the lymphocytes responses we hypothezied that deficiencies or mutations in the gene encoding CTLA4 protein may be involved in AIH susceptibility and trigger the autoimmune *** investigated 3 distinct polymorphic sites(t49A>G,CT60 G>A and e318C>T)of the CTLA4 gene in 50 AIH patients and 100 healthy controls using the KASP genotyping technology.A significant positive association with AIH susceptibility was found for the GG genotype in t49 position of the CTLA4 gene which was significantly higher in AIH patients compared to controls(28%vs 9%,pZ0.003,ORZ3.93[1.56e9.88]).The CTLA4 A/A genotype in position CT60 was more significantly frequent in controls comparing to AIH patients and could be considered as a protective genotype for the tunisian ***4 genotyping in position318 did not show any statistically significant difference in genotype or allele *** CTLA4 gene polymorphism in position t49 is associated to AIH susceptibility in the Tunisian *** in the CTLA4 gene may lead to a modification of the CTLA4 protein structure that could have functional relevance in AIH pathogenesis and onset.

A Robust Optimization Technique Based on First Order Sliding Mode Approach for Photovoltaic Power Systems

This paper deals with the problem of the energy system optimization for photovoltaic generators. A great necessity of optimizing the output energy appears as a result of the nonlinearity of the photovoltaic generator operation besides its variable output characteristic under different climatic conditions. As a consequence for the big need to extract maximum energy, many solutions have been proposed in order to have a good operation at the optimum power for photovoltaic systems. In this paper, we further extend this work by using a robust optimization technique based on the first order sliding mode approach to cope with the uncertainty in photovoltaic power generation caused by weather variability and load change. Indeed, we examine by using this control approach the effectiveness of this method and we note the different performance that affects to the system operation. The first order sliding mode maximum power point tracking controller is presented in detail in this paper. Then, a detailed study of algorithm stability has been carried out. The robustness and stability of the proposed sliding mode controller are investigated against load variations and weather changes. The simulation results confirm the effectiveness, the good and improved performance of the proposed sliding mode method in the presence of load variations and environment changes for direct current/direct current(DC/DC) boost converter.

Time-varying nexus and causality in the quantile between Google investor sentiment and cryptocurrency returns

Understanding the interplay between investor sentiment and cryptocurrency returns has become a critical area of ***,this study aims to uncover the role of Google investor sentiment on cryptocurrency returns(including Bitcoin,Litecoin,Ethereum,and Tether),especially during the 2017-18 bubble(January 01,2017,to December 31,2018)and the COVID-19 pandemic(January 01,2020,to March 15,2022).To achieve this,we use two techniques:quantile causality and wavelet ***,the quantile causality test revealed that investors’optimistic sentiments have notably higher cryptocurrency returns,whereas pessimistic sentiments have significantly opposite ***,the wavelet coherence analysis shows that co-movement between investor sentiment and Tether cannot be considered *** result supports the role of Tether as a stablecoin in portfolio diversification *** fact,the findings will help investors improve the accuracy of cryptocurrency return forecasts in times of stressful events and pave the way for enhanced decision-making utility.

The migratory locust Locusta migratoria(Orthoptera,Acrididae)is one of the most important pests due to its extensive and severe damage to crops in large parts of Africa and *** and ecologically natural products such as bota nical insecticides are emergi ng can didates for replaceme nt of usually applied chemical *** crude methanolic extract of Pergularia tomentosa(PME)was investigated for their toxicity and physiological aspects on *** *** showed that treatment of newly emerged fourth and fifth instar nymphs resulted in significant mortality and significant repellent activity with an LC50 value of 0.18 and 0.38%,respectively,after seven days of *** PME toxicity was also dem on strated by histopathological cha nges in the alime ntary canal resulting in con siderable disorganization and severe damage of the caeca and proventriculus *** extract induced cellular immune reactions which manifested by a significant decrease in the number of the differential haemocyte counts(prohemocytes and plasmatocytes)and important cell *** of biochemical analyses showed that the PME reduced the activity of acetylcholinesterase and induced the glutathione *** neurotoxic effect was confirmed by the histological alterations in the brain structure,particularly in the neurosecretory cells showing typical signs of cell necrosis.

Modelling the dynamics of stock market in the gulf cooperation council countries:evidence on persistence to shocks

This study examines the statistical properties required to model the dynamics of both the returns and volatility series of the daily stock market returns in six Gulf Cooperation Council countries,namely Bahrain,Oman,Kuwait,Qatar,Saudi Arabia,and the United Arab Emirates,under different financial and economic *** empiri-cal investigation is conducted using daily data from June 1,2005 to July 1,*** analysis is conducted using a set of double long-memory specifications with some significant features such as long-range dependencies,asymmetries in conditional variances,non-linearity,and multiple seasonality or time-varying *** study indicates that the joint dual long-memory process can adequately estimate long-memory dynamics in returns and *** in-sample diagnostic tests as well as out-of-sample forecasting results demonstrate the prevalence of the Autoregressive Fractionally Integrated Moving Average and Hyperbolic Asymmetric Power Autoregressive Conditional Heteroskedasticity modeling process over other competing models in fitting the first and the second conditional moments of the market ***,the empirical results show that the proposed model offers an interesting framework to describe the long-range dependence in returns and seasonal persistence to shocks in conditional volatility and strongly support the estimation of dynamic returns that allow for time-varying correlations.A noteworthy finding is that the long-memory dependencies in the conditional variance processes of stock market returns appear important,asymmetric,and differ in their volatility responses to unexpected *** evidence suggests that these markets are not completely efficient in processing regional news,thus providing a sound alternative for regional portfolio diversification.

The RPL(IPv6 Routing Protocol for Low-Power and Lossy Networks)protocol is essential for efficient communi-cation within the Internet of Things(IoT)*** its significance,RPL’s susceptibility to attacks remains a *** paper presents a comprehensive simulation-based analysis of the RPL protocol’s vulnerability to the decreased rank attack in both static andmobilenetwork *** employ the Random Direction Mobility Model(RDM)for mobile scenarios within the Cooja *** systematic evaluation focuses on critical performance metrics,including Packet Delivery Ratio(PDR),Average End to End Delay(AE2ED),throughput,Expected Transmission Count(ETX),and Average Power Consumption(APC).Our findings illuminate the disruptive impact of this attack on the routing hierarchy,resulting in decreased PDR and throughput,increased AE2ED,ETX,and *** results underscore the urgent need for robust security measures to protect RPL-based IoT ***,our study emphasizes the exacerbated impact of the attack in mobile scenarios,highlighting the evolving security requirements of IoT networks.

AIM:To assess the possible association between PTPN22(R620W) gene polymorphism and inflammatory bowel disease(IBD).METHODS:One hundred and sixty-four patients with IBD 105 Crohn's disease(CD) and 59 ulcerative colitis(UC) and 100 healthy controls were *** of the PTPN22 gene 1858C→T polymorphism was performed by restriction fragment length polymorphism-polymerase chain reaction with Rsa Ⅰ ***:The genotypic and allelic frequencies of(R620W) PTPN22 gene polymorphism reveal a significant association of the PTPN22 620-W allele with IBD,compared to the healthy control group(OR:17.81,95% CI:4.18-21.86,P = 0.00001).Nevertheless,nodifference in this polymorphism was found between CD and UC *** significant association was found between the frequencies of genotypes of the PTPN22 gene with either the clinical features such as sex,age,age at disease onset,and extent of colitis,or the production of serological markers(anti-Saccharomyces cerevisiae antibody in CD and perinuclear anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody in UC).CONCLUSION:These observations confirm the association of IBD susceptibility with the PTPN22 1858T(620-W) allele in Tunisian patients.

AIM： To detect a possible association between the polymorphism of the （-670 A/G） Fas/Apol gene promoter and susceptibility to Crohn＇s disease （CD） and ulcerative colitis （UC） in the Tunisian population. METHODS： The （-670 A/G） Fas polymorphism was analyzed in 105 patients with CD, 59 patients with UC, and 100 controls using the polymerase chain reaction restriction fragment length polymorphism method. RESULTS： Significantly lower frequencies of the Fas -670 A allele and A/A homozygous individuals were observed in CD and UC patients when compared with controls. Analysis of （-670 A/G） Fas polymorphism with respect to sex in CD and UC showed a significant difference in A/A genotypes between female patients and controls （P corrected = 0.004 ＂in CD patients＂ and P corrected = 0.02 ＂in UC patients＂, respectively）. Analysis also showed a statistically significant association between genotype AA of the （-670 A/G） polymorphism and the ileum localization of the lesions （P corrected = 0.048） and between genotype GG and the colon localization （P corrected = 0.009）. The analysis of IBD patients according to clinical behavior revealed no difference. CONCLUSION： Fas-670 polymorphism was associated with the development of CD and UC in the Tunisian population.

A Digital Phase Locked Loop Speed Control of Three Phase Induction Motor Drive: Performances Analysis

This paper deals with performance analysis and implementation of a three phase inverter fed induction motor (IM) drive system. The closed loop control scheme of the drive utilizes the Digital Phase Locked Loop (DPLL). The DPLL is safely implemented all around the well known integrated circuit DPLL 4046. An ex-perimental verification is carried out on one kw scalar controlled IM system drives for a wide range of speeds and loads appliance. This presents a simple and high performance solution for industrial applications.
