Hepatic Steatosis in Patients with Metabolic Syndrome at the Brazzaville University Hospital Center

Objective: To study the epidemiological, clinical and paraclinical particularities of fatty liver disease in patients with metabolic syndrome. Patients and Method: This was a cross-sectional and analytical study carried out over a period of seven months, from February 1 to September 30, 2019, in the outpatient services of Gastroenterology and Metabolic and Endocrine Diseases of the Brazzaville University Hospital. It interested all patients with metabolic syndrome, according to the criteria of the FID harmonized in 2009, namely known diabetic and hypertensive patients, having abdominal obesity. Results: The variables studied were socio-demographic, clinical, morphological and biological. The search for fatty liver was done using an abdominal ultrasound. Results: During the study period, 124 patients with metabolic syndrome were included. The average age of the population was 52.8 ± 12 years with extremes ranging from 30 and 84 years. The population was mainly female with a Sex-Ratio of 2.54 (F/M). The frequency of fatty liver disease was 38.7%. The frequency of dyslipidemia was high in the study. Conclusion: The prevalence of hepatic steatosis is high in patients with metabolic syndrome at Brazzaville University Hospital. The gender, lack of occupation and high level of education were the factors associated with fatty liver disease.

Optimization Scheme of Trusted Task Offloading in IIoT Scenario Based on DQN

Survey on Storage of Water for Domestic Use in Underground Reinforced Concrete Tanks: The Case of Brazzaville (Republic of Congo)

The problem of water supply from the public distribution network still poses very serious problems in many cities in developing countries. Intermittent water supply pushes some households to build underground reinforced concrete tanks for water storage to cope with unwanted water breaks. This study that relies on the results of a survey of households in some areas of the city of Brazzaville (Republic of Congo) aims to verify the importance that users attach to the quality of the works constructed. Indeed, the reliability of the tanks resulting in their impermeability to the external environment has a direct impact on the quality of stored water and therefore the use that is made of water daily. Five areas were selected because of their soil moisture. By 256 tanks identified, 143 are made of reinforced concrete and 113 in masonry. The coating materials used to seal the walls are preferably the earthenware tiles (64% of tanks), then the Sika cement (31%). Food painting (5%) is only rarely used. However, 66% of households are not assured of the potability of the water stored. A significant number of households (46%) think that the stored water could be contaminated with noxious substances seeping from the outside through the walls of the tanks. The issue of sealing of underground water tanks, especially in areas where the water table is shallow, seems concerned users.

Comparative Analysis of Statistical Thickness Models for the Determination of the External Specific Surface and the Surface of the Micropores of Materials: The Case of a Clay Concrete Stabilized Using Sugar Cane Molasses

In this work, four empirical models of statistical thickness, namely the models of Harkins and Jura, Hasley, Carbon Black and Jaroniec, were compared in order to determine the textural properties (external surface and surface of micropores) of a clay concrete without molasses and clay concretes stabilized with 8%, 12% and 16% molasses. The results obtained show that Hasley’s model can be used to obtain the external surfaces. However, it does not allow the surface of the micropores to be obtained, and is not suitable for the case of simple clay concrete (without molasses) and for clay concretes stabilized with molasses. The Carbon Black, Jaroniec and Harkins and Jura models can be used for clay concrete and stabilized clay concrete. However, the Carbon Black model is the most relevant for clay concrete and the Harkins and Jura model is for molasses-stabilized clay concrete. These last two models augur well for future research.

据国土资源部数据显示，四川省页岩气资源量约为27.5万亿立方米，占全国总量的20.46%，可采资源量约为4.42万亿立方米，占全国总量的17.67%，排名全国第一。川南地区地处四川省南部，行政区主要辖四川省雅安、眉山、乐山、资阳、遂宁、南充、广安、内江、自贡、泸州等市县。川南地区是四川目前页岩气资源潜力最大，同时开发力度也是最大的地区，其中包含“四川长宁-威远国家级页岩气示范区”以及部分“滇黔北昭通国家级页岩气示范区”。本文通过资料搜集、野外地质调查、典型井（剖面）分析对比以及系统采样分析等手段对川南地区须家河组富有机质泥页岩的空间分布、储层物性、有机地化以及含气性特征进行了初步调查分析，并评价其资源潜力。川南地区主体位于扬子地块的西南缘四川盆地范围内，晚三叠世诺里-瑞替期四川盆地西部开始了前陆盆地的发展，自下而上发育了潮控-河控三角洲以及河流相和冲积相沉积。川南地区须家河组主要的页岩气层段为须家河组三段和须家河组五段。须三段主要分布于威远隆起一带较浅。须三段有机碳含量的高值中心位于资阳-威远隆起东北部，TOC值高达8%以上，Ro值在1.21～1.85%之间。须三段孔隙度分布范围1.68%～3.25%，平均2.42%，渗透率0.01110-3μm2～0.037410-3μm2，平均值0.02410-3μm2。须五段主要分布于川中-川西南，仍以川南威远一带较浅。须五段TOC值最高达3%以上，Ro值在0.68～1.62%之间。须五段孔隙度分布范围1.25%～3.27%，主体分布区为1.8%～2.0%，平均值为2.12%，渗透率0.00310-3μm2～0.13010-3μm2，平均值0.05310-3μm2。泥页岩岩性、颜色、TOC、孔隙度与页岩气富集的正相关性强，但岩性和颜色与含气量并不是线性相关，颜色中等、粒度中等的岩石往往含气量较高。侧向电阻率和自然伽马曲线与含气量正相关性好。滨湖、潮坪沉积微相中气含量较高。上三叠系统须家河组三段页岩气地质资源量约为3272.23108m3，上三叠系统须家河组五段页岩气地质资源量约为17638.3108m3。川南地区须三段初步优选3个有利区，须五段初步优选出4个有利区。

背景:六价铬(Cr(Ⅵ))是人类一级致癌物,对多个器官有损伤毒性效应,肝脏是Cr(Ⅵ)毒性作用的主要靶器官。Cr(Ⅵ)暴露可通过氧化应激反应(Reactive Oxygen Species,ROS)诱导肝脏毒性,但其确切的作用机制仍未明了;本项目以Cr(Ⅵ)暴露的小鼠肝组织为研究对象,通过RNA-seq、Western Blot等多种生物学技术揭示Cr(Ⅵ)的肝脏毒性机制。方法:不同浓度(0,40,80,160和320 mg/***)Cr(Ⅵ)暴露建立急性Cr(Ⅵ)肝损伤模型;RNA-seq检测160 mg/kg Cr(Ⅵ)暴露C57BL/6小鼠肝组织转录组变化,并进行生信分析;H&E观察肝组织结构变化;蛋白杂交印迹(Western Blot)和组织免疫组化检测蛋白表达;荧光定量PCR(RT-q PCR)检测基因表达水平变化。结果:Cr(Ⅵ)暴露后小鼠肝组织结构异常、肝细胞损伤及产生肝脏炎症反应,且呈现剂量依赖效应。RNA-seq转录组学结果显示Cr(Ⅵ)暴露后氧化应激、凋亡和炎症反应通路活性升高;KEGG通路分析发现NF-κB信号通路活性显著上升,与RNA-seq结果一致;免疫组化显示Cr(Ⅵ)暴露导致库普弗细胞和中性粒细胞细胞增多,并发现炎症因子(TNF-α、IL-6、IL-1β)表达升高,以及NF-κB信号通路(p-IKKα/β和p-p65)活化。而用ROS抑制剂N-acetylcysteine(NAC)处理后,可减少Cr(Ⅵ)暴露的枯否细胞和中性粒细胞数量,降低炎症因子(TNF-α、IL-6、IL-1β)的表达,抑制NF-κB信号通路(p-IKKα/β和p-p65)活化,并减少Cr(Ⅵ)诱导的肝组织损伤。结论:本项目首次揭示Cr(Ⅵ)通过NF-κB信号通路介导的炎症反应诱导肝组织损伤,这一研究结果将为明确Cr(Ⅵ)的毒性机制和临床预防治疗奠定良好的基础。

Identification of the Diffusion Coefficients of Pollutants ( N O 3 - and Mn2+) through the Walls of Concrete Tank and Vulnerability of the Stored Water Quality

The populations of urban centers in Congo-Brazzaville have decided to develop various methods of water storage (concrete or masonry underground tanks) for domestic use, due to shortages in the distribution of water through the public network. However, questions remain as to the physico-chemical quality of the water stored in these tanks, when these structures are built in wet and relatively polluted areas. This paper presents a model of pollutant diffusion through the cementitious matrix (concrete) of tank walls simulated at a buried reservoir. The results of the experimental and numerical simulations show that certain concrete parameters, such as porosity, permeability and diffusivity, have a significant influence on the transfer of pollutants through the concrete walls, thus altering the physico-chemical quality of the stored water. The numerical models (1D) used to predict pollutant transfer and the quality of the stored water are consistent with those of the optimal control for identifying the diffusion coefficient. Major ion concentrations appear to be correlated with system porosity and diffusion coefficient. Nevertheless, the identification of the diffusion coefficient from the optimal control method, based on an explicit numerical resolution of a finite volume PDE for the approximation of the experiment, is not consistent with that of the optimal control method.

Sugar cane molasses is often poured out on roads with soil in the city of Nkayi,Republic of Congo in order to reduce the *** physical adsorption has allowed us to collect information on the state of the accessible total area according to the quantity of sugar cane *** adsorption isotherms,the specific area,the adsorbed quantity of nitrogen on a Qm mono layer,the number of molecules constituting the adsorbed sugar cane molasses(n′)have been *** obtained results show that the quantity of sugar cane molasses in the material does not modify the adsorption isotherm of nitrogen of type IV that remains and a hysteria loop of type H4 in all samples,this justifies the monocoat-multicoat adsorption mechanism with capillary condensation and mesopores presence in the structure of *** with elaborated raw soil by clayey fine soil used are mesoporous *** of 50×1018 molecules constituting sugar cane molasses occupy the extreme area accessible to soil clay,without occupying on accessible sites.

Microstructure of Fine Clay Soils Stabilized with Sugarcane Molasses

Sugar cane molasses has proved cohesive and excellent performance on soil aggregates (fine particles). However, the microstructure of consolidated soil by the molasses is not yet subjected to research. The analysis results of sample without molasses (0%) and consolidated samples at 8%, 12%, and 16% show that the molasses acts on the structure of clayey fine soil developing its microstructure of airy matrix type (sample without molasses (0%) to a microstructure of a qualified type, more solid. Consolidated samples to 8%, 12%, 16% of molasses). We also observe the presence of inter-aggregate pores (mesopores) of similar size in all samples. The results of porosimetrical analyses (BJH) of the sample without molasses and consolidated samples to 8%, 12%, and 16% show that simultaneous porous volumes of samples are reduced with the increasing of molasses quantity. This latter, therefore, acts on the porous volume (micropore 2 nm and mesopore 9 nm) by reducing them which really means, molasses occupies the porous volume of the sample. However, this sample seems not to have any effect on the size of mesopores 9 nm. Thus, this product induces the evolution of the soil structure towards the highly dense and condensed structure. Consequently, materials in consolidated soil by molasses will have mechanical properties far superior to those of materials consolidated soil without molasses.
