Magnetic Applications to Subsurface and Groundwater Investigations: A Case Study from Wadi El Assiuti, Egypt

Wadi El Assiuti represents a promising area for agricultural development and building new communities far from the overpopulated areas in the Nile Val-ley. An integrated approach of satellite-based data and geophysical data with borehole data was used for defining the area of interest, the sediment thick-ness, delineating the subsurface structures, and mapping the depth to the basement rocks, and defining the groundwater aquifers. Findings are: 1) Dramatic changes are detected in the anthropogenic activities at the entrance area of the wadi, making stress and heavy exploitation of the groundwater resources. However, the central and northeastern regions show no development;2) Several structural trends in the directions of NNW, NW, NE, and E-W are cutting the basement rocks and sedimentary cover;3) The depth to the basement rocks is increasing eastward from ~2.24 km to ~4.84 km;4) Three groundwater-bearing reservoirs are represented by the shallow Qua-ternary, the fractured limestone, and the deep Nubian sandstone aquifers;5) The deep-seated faults are affecting the area and rising groundwater from the deeper Nubian aquifer along its sub-vertical trend;and 6) The results are in-formative and used to define the suitable sites for water well drilling.

Among the crop production factors,preceding crop and tillage management affect the sustainable use of soil resources and ultimately crop growth and *** study aimed at investigating the impact of preceding winter crops(grass or legume)and different tillage systems on forage yield,quality and nutritive values of three summer grass(Sudan grass,pearl millet and teosinte)and two legume forage crops(cowpea and guar)under arid *** results exhibited that growing forage crops after legumes(as berseem clover)produced the highest fresh and dry forage yields and quality attributes compared with grasses(as wheat)with the exception of crude fiber content,which was ***,tillage practices showed positive impact on forage yields and quality *** maximum forage yields and quality parameters were recorded under conventional tillage(CT)practice compared with reduced tillage(RT)and no-tillage(NT)*** the evaluated crops,the highest yields of fresh forage,dry forage,crude fiber,crude protein and total digestible nutrient were exhibited by grass forage crops(Sudan grass,pearl millet and teosinte),whereas the highest crude protein content and the digestible energy values were produced by legume forage crops(cowpea and guar).The maximum fresh forage,dry forage,crude fiber,crude protein,total digestible nutrient and digestible crude protein yields were produced by pearl millet followed by Sudan grass under CT and RT after berseem *** highest net return was recorded by sowing pearl millet after berseem clover and applying CT followed by RT practices,which could be recommended for the commercial ***,it could be assumed that the combination of growing grass forage crops after legume crops under CT or RT systems could enhance forage crop yield and quality with an improvement in soil properties for sustainable agriculture with low cost and the highest net income.

Dexmedetomidine versus Ketamine for the Prevention of Emergence Agitation in Pediatric: A Prospective, Randomized, and Controlled Clinical Trial

Background: This study compares the effect of dexmedetomidine versus Ketamine for the prevention of emergence agitation in children undergoing general anaesthesia. Method: 75 Children are randomly allocated into three groups. Group C: Were assigned to receive normal saline. Group K: Were assigned to receive Ketamine 0.25 mg/kg. Group D: assigned to receive 0.25 ug /kg of dexmedetomidine, before the end of surgery. Results: There was no statistically significant difference in demographic data and intraoperative parameters between the three groups. But as regards to time to discharge, there was a significant difference between group C, group K and group D (group C = 39.96 ± 2.84, group K = 37.28 ± 3.80, group D = 35.08 ± 3.36 and P value = 0.0002). FLACC scale was low after extubation, before leaving the operating room and on arrival to PACU (small FLACC scale in group K, D than group C). PAed scoreless in Group K and Group D than Group C (postoperative, at 10 minutes, 20 min, 30 min). Conclusion: Ketamine and dexmedetomidine reduced the incidence and severity of emergence delirium effectively when compared to normal saline, and the effects of dexmedetomidine being much superior to Ketamine.

Utilizing artificial intelligence(AI)to protect smart coastal cities has become a novel vision for scientific and industrial *** of these AI technologies is using efficient and secure multi-environment Unmanned Vehicles(UVs)for anti-submarine *** study’s contribution is the early detection of a submarine assault employing hybrid environment UVs that are controlled using swarm optimization and secure the information in between UVs using a decentralized cybersecurity *** Dragonfly Algorithm is used for the orientation and clustering of the UVs in the optimization approach,and the Re-fragmentation strategy is used in the Network layer of the TCP/IP protocol as a cybersecurity *** research’s noteworthy findings demonstrate UVs’logistical capability to promptly detect the target and address the problem while securely keeping the drone’s geographical *** results suggest that detecting the submarine early increases the likelihood of averting a *** dragonfly strategy of sensing the position of the submersible and aggregating around it demonstrates the reliability of swarm intelligence in increasing access *** communication between Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs)improves the level of secrecy necessary for the *** swarm navigation is based on a peer-to-peer system,which allows each UAV to access information from its ***,in turn,helps the UAVs to determine the best route to take and to avoid collisions with other *** dragonfly strategy also increases the speed of the mission by minimizing the time spent finding the target.

Black cumin (Nigella sativa L.) the highly aggregate valuable medicinal plant was field cultivated for two subsequent seasons (2018, 2019) designed as factorial split plot based on randomized complete block with 3 replications. The main factors 4 elicitors: salicylic acid, (SA) Nano-selenium (NPs), yeast (YS) chitosan (CH) and (E0), control. Whereas, the sub-main plot 4 biofertilizers, dray Moringa leaves extract, (MLE), neem dray leaves extract (NME), humic acid (HA) and traditional (NPK) chemical fertilizer as control. Allied statistical analysis of variance revealed that biotic and abiotic elicitors coincide biofertilizer and NPK chemical fertilizer actuated significant positive impacts, dray seed, seed fixed oil, seed essential oil yield production. Also, significantly amelioration bioactive major fatty acids content of seed fixed oil (linolenic > carvone) dihydrolenoleic > oleic) as well as major terpens content of seed essential oil (P-cymene > thnymoquione > Penine). Consequently, multi-repeating elicitation cod be considered reliable strategy achieve sustainable development for N-sativa under, biotic elicitor coincide biofertilizers that excel abiotic elicitors coincide biofertilizer which excel biotic or abiotic elicitors coincide NPK traditional chemical fertilizer.

Antibacterial activity of calcium hydroxide combined with chitosan solutions and the outcomes on the bond strength of RealSeal sealer to radicular dentin

The purpose of this study was to investigate the antibacterial activity of calcium hydroxide [Ca（OH）2] combined with chitosan solutions against Enterococcus faecalis-infected root canal dentin and the effect of this new intraca- nal medicament on the bond strength of RealSeal sealer to radicular dentin. An experimental intracanal medicament was prepared by mixing different concentrations of chitosan solution （25%, 50%, and 100%, W/V） to Ca（OH）2 powder. Antibacterial activity was evaluated and the total numbers of colony forming units were determined. Bonding ability of RealSeal sealer to radicular dentin was evaluated using push-out bond strength test. Data were analyzed using one-way analysis of variance （ANOVA） and Tukey＇s multiple comparison tests. We found that Ca（OH）2 combined with different concentrations of chitosan solutions showed better antibacterial activity than Ca（OH）2 mixed with saline, without significantly affecting the bond strength of RealSeal sealer to radicular dentin （P 〉 0.05）. The findings suggest that Ca（OH）2 combined with chitosan is a promising intracanal medicament and may be effective in endodontic therapy.

Classification of Multi-User Chirp Modulation Signals Using Wavelet Higher-Order-Statistics Features and Artificial Intelligence Techniques

Higher order statistical features have been recently proved to be very efficient in the classification of wideband communications and radar signals with great accuracy. On the other hand, the denoising properties of the wavelet transform make WT an efficient signal processing tool in noisy environments. A novel technique for the classification of multi-user chirp modulation signals is presented in this paper. A combination of the higher order moments and cumulants of the wavelet coefficients as well as the peaks of the bispectrum and its bi-frequencies are proposed as effective features. Different types of artificial intelligence based classifiers and clustering techniques are used to identify the chirp signals of the different users. In particular, neural networks (NN), maximum likelihood (ML), k-nearest neighbor (KNN) and support vector machine (SVMs) classifiers as well as fuzzy c-means (FCM) and fuzzy k-means (FKM) clustering techniques are tested. The Simulation results show that the proposed technique is able to efficiently classify the different chirp signals in additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channels with high accuracy. It is shown that the NN classifier outperforms other classifiers. Also, the simulations prove that the classification based on features extracted from wavelet transform results in more accurate results than that using features directly extracted from the chirp signals, especially at low values of signal-to-noise ratios.

Objectives: The aim of this review is to explain the role of Dental Pulp Stem Cells (DPSCs) in repairing or regenerating damaged tissue/organs for both systemic and oral diseases and, in addition, review the differentiation, isolation of dental pulp stem cells and their applications in regenerative medicine. Materials and Methods: An electronic search was done using Cohchrane, PubMed and Google Scholar. Out of 310 articles, only 25 articles have been selected to be included in this review because it is directly related to the topic and they are matching the inclusion criteria of this review: “Language: English” and “Year: 2006-2016”. Results: DPSCs have been widely used as a mesenchymal stem cells source due to easy accessibility and less invasive harvesting. DPSCs could be used for pulpal regeneration, tooth reconstruction, endocrinology, neurology, angiogenesis and vasculogenises. The most common application of DPSCs in the dental field is pulp regeneration. Conclusion: Stem cell-based therapy holds a great promise to solve health problems from both systemic and oral diseases. Studying in DPSCs grows rapidly;however, there are still questionable issues needed to be optimized and answered such as the variable biological capacity of DPSCs.
