随着多药耐药(MDR)和广泛耐药(XDR)的结核分枝杆菌的出现,结核病又成为人类面临的重大疾病。近年来研究表明,乙酰乳酸合成酶(AHAS)可以作为抗结核(TB)药物的新靶点。我们同源蛋白模建了TB-AHAS的结构,经过虚拟筛选,发现了一类喹唑啉酮酸酯类化合物具有较好的抗结核活性。据此设计合成了20余个新结构的取代苯甲酸喹唑啉酮酸酯类化合物,不仅具有较好的TB-AHAS抑制活性,也具有较高的抗结核菌活性,对MDR和XDR结核菌都有明显效果。

Flexible Zn-based batteries have attracted increasing research interest as essential components of wearable energy storage ***,the advancement of flexible aqueous Zn-based batteries based on Co-Ni layered double hydroxide （CoNi-LDH） as the cathode material is hampered by their poor cycling stability and the corrosiveness of alkaline ***,CoNi-LDH nanosheets enriched with H vacancies (CoNi-LDH（v）) were constructed on a flexible carbon cloth （CC） substrate via electrochemical deposition and *** Zn-based battery comprising CoNi-LDH（v）@CC as the cathode exhibited highly reversible conversion reactions and stable operation in 3 M ZnSO4electrolyte （pH=4）.The battery delivered an excellent specific capacity (225 mA h g-1,0.26 mA h cm-2),acceptable cycling stability（53.9%,900 cycles）,and high discharging *** abundant H vacancies served as active sites for the reversible intercalation of Zn2+and the extravasation of NO3-generated channels and space for Zn2+transport and storage,together enabling an excellent Zn2+storage ***,a sandwich-structured solid-state CoNi-LDH（v）@CC//Zn@CC battery was fabricated and was found to exhibit a noteworthy electrochemical performance and mechanical *** a proof of concept,the unencapsulated battery powered a digital watch under various deformation conditions and operated stably for 80 ***,the flexible battery displayed outstanding customizability,maintaining an open-circuit voltage of 1.42 V even after being cut *** proposed engineering strategy contributes to the realization of textiles with truly wearable energy-storage devices.

Rechargeable aluminum batteries(RABs),which use earth-abundant and high-volumetric-capacity metal anodes(8040 m Ah cm-3),have great potential as next-generation power sources because they use cheaper resources to deliver higher energies,compared to current lithium ion ***,the mechanism of charge delivery in the newly developed,ionic liquid-based electrolytic system for RABs differs from that in conventional organic ***,targeted research efforts are required to address the large overpotentials and cycling decay encountered in the ionic liquid-based electrolytic *** this study,a nanoporous carbon(NPC)electrode with well-developed nanopores is used to develop a high-performance aluminum *** negatively charged nanopores can provide quenched dynamics of electrolyte molecules in the aluminum deposition process,resulting in an increased collision *** fast chemical equilibrium of anionic species induced by the facilitated anionic collisions leads to more favorable reduction reactions that form aluminum *** nanoconfinement effect causes separated nucleation and growth of aluminum nanoparticles in the multiple confined nanopores,leading to higher coulombic efficiencies and more stable cycling performance compared with macroporous carbon black and 2D stainless steel electrodes.

To the Editor:Hemangioma is a benign liver tumor that rarely requires treatment if the patient is asymptomatic[1].However,great cavernous hemangioma(GCH)can lead to symptoms due to its mass effect and Kasabach-Merritt syndrome(KMS)[2].GCH treatment options vary;therefore,tailoring treatment to individual patients according to their condition,such as symptoms,tumor location,and liver function,is ***,GCH is associated with hemangiomatosis,and its boundaries with normal tissue are unclear[3],leading to a lack of consensus on the initial therapeutic approach,with literature primarily comprising case reports or series[4].This study presented two cases of GCH and coexisting hemangiomatosis;the patients underwent liver resection of the main mass to relieve symptoms but ultimately required liver transplantation(LT).We aimed to describe the role of LT in these patients.

Background:Activated hepatic stellate cells(HSCs)are closely involved in the initiation,perpetuation,and resolution of liver ***-inflammatory cytokine levels are positively correlated with the transition from liver injury to fibrogenesis and contribute to HSC pathophysiology in liver ***:In this study,we investigated the effect of the pro-inflammatory cytokine interleukin(IL)-1βon the proliferation and signaling pathways involved in fibrogenesis in LX-2 cells,an HSC cell line,using western blotting and cell proliferation ***:IL-1βincreased the proliferation rate andα-smooth muscle actin(SMA)expression of LX-2 cells in a dose-dependent *** 1 h after IL-1βtreatment,c-Jun N-terminal kinase(JNK),p38,and nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB)signaling was activated in LX-2 ***,protein kinase B(AKT)phosphorylation and an increase inα-SMA expression were observed in LX-2 *** inhibitor of JNK,p38,or NF-κB decreased cell proliferation,AKT phosphorylation,andα-SMA expression in IL-1β-treated LX-2 ***:These results indicate that JNK,p38,and NF-κB signals converge at AKT phosphorylation,leading to LX-2 activation by IL-1β.Therefore,the AKT signaling pathway can be used as a target for alleviating liver fibrosis by the inflammatory cytokine IL-1β.

Three types of organic compounds--two carboxylic acids and an anhydride, were used as additives for polyketone （PK）. The effect of the additive structure and their feed ratios on the melting temperature, crystallization temperature, and crystallization rate of PK were studied. We found that the crystallization temperature could be reduced significantly by introducing a small quantity of organic additive, in particular, an anhydride. On addition of 1 phr of anhydride, the crystallization temperature was reduced by 10.7 ℃. Therefore, the non-isothermal crystallization kinetics of aliphatic PKJanhydride blends with various feed ratios was investigated using DSC. The results were analyzed by various theoretical models, such as Avrami, Ozawa and combined Avrami-Ozawa models.

AIM:To systematically assess the association between diabetes and incidence of gastric ***:We searched MedLine (PubMed),EMBASE,and the Cochrane Library without any limitations with respect to publication date or language,we also searched the references of qualifying *** studies and cohort studies comparing the risk of gastric cancer between diabetic patients and control subjects were *** excluded studies reporting only standardized incidence ratios without control groups and those that investigated only mortality but not *** studies met our criteria,and the qualities of these studies were assessed using theNewcastle-Ottawa Quality Assessment *** performed a meta-analysis of pre-existing diabetes and gastric cancer incidence using the DerSimonian-Laird method for *** subgroup analyses,we separated the studies by study type,region,sex and method to determine confounding factors and *** also conducted subgroup analyses to examine the effects of smoking,Helicobacter pylori (***) infection,and cancer *** bias was evaluated using Begg's ***:A random-effects model meta-analysis showed an increased gastric cancer risk in diabetic patients [relative risk (RR)=1.19;95%CI:1.08-1.31].Subgroup analyses indicated that this result persisted in cohort studies (RR=1.20;95%CI:1.08-1.34),in studies on populations of both Western (RR=1.18;95%CI:1.03-1.36) and Eastern countries (RR=1.19;95%CI:1.02-1.38),in a female subgroup (RR=1.24;95%CI:1.01-1.52),and in highly qualified studies (RR=1.17;95%CI:1.05-1.31).Moreover,these results persisted when the analysis was confined to studies adjusted for well-known gastric cancer risk factors such as smoking (RR=1.17;95%CI:1.01-1.34) and *** infection (RR=2.35;95%CI:1.24-4.46).CONCLUSION:Pre-existing diabetes mellitus may increase the risk of gastric cancer by approximately 19%.This effect seems to be unrelated to geographical region.

Aluminum welding using a hybrid system with a laser and scanner welding head was performed under various welding conditions to verify the feasibility of applying an aluminum alloy to a car *** experimental material was 5J32 aluminum alloy,and the laser power,welding speed,and laser incidence angle were used as the control *** weld bead shape and the tensile shear strength were evaluated in order to understand the aluminum lap joint weld *** of variance (ANOVA) was conducted to identify the effect of the process variables on the tensile shear *** strength estimation models using three different regression models were also *** input variables were the laser power,welding speed,and laser incidence angle,and the output was the tensile shear *** the models,the second-order polynomial estimation model had the best estimation performance,and the average error rate of this model was 0.058.

Clinical implications of neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio and MDSC kinetics in gastric cancer patients treated with ramucirumab plus paclitaxel

Objective: We aimed to investigate the prognostic value of neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio(NLR) and myeloidderived suppressor cells(MDSCs) in gastric cancer patients treated with second-line ramucirumab plus ***: A total of 116 patients with advanced or metastatic gastric cancer who receive ramucirumab plus paclitaxel were prospectively enrolled. Fresh blood samples were collected before and after treatment, and flow cytometry was performed to assess the proportions of monocytic(m MDSCs) and granulocytic MDSCs(g MDSCs).Results: Median age was 58 years and 71(61.2%) patients were male. A baseline NLR≥2.94 was associated with significantly poorer progression-free survival(PFS) and overall survival(OS) vs. an NLR<2.94(P=0.011 and P=0.002, respectively). In multivariate analysis, an NLR≥2.94 was independently associated with poorer PFS[hazard ratio(HR)=1.58;95% confidence interval(95% CI): 1.01-2.49, P=0.046] and OS(HR=1.77;95% CI:1.04-3.04, P=0.036). While m MDSC counts did not significantly change following two cycles of therapy(P=0.530),g MDSC counts decreased significantly after two treatment cycles(P=0.025) but tended to increase in patients with progressive disease after two treatment cycles(P=0.098). A progressive increase in g MDSC counts(≥44%) was associated with a significantly shorter PFS and OS vs. a g MDSC count increase <44%(P=0.001 and P=0.003,respectively).Conclusions: The baseline NLR may help guide clinical decisions during ramucirumab plus paclitaxel therapy for gastric cancer. Our g MDSC kinetics data warrant further clinical validation and mechanistic investigation.
