AIMTo noninvasively investigate tumor cellularity measured using diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DW-MRI) and glucose metabolism measured by sup>18sup>F-labeled fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (sup>18sup>F-FDG-PET/CT) during radiation therapy (RT) for human papillomavirus negative (HPV-) head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNsCC).METHODsIn this prospective study, 6 HPV- HNsCC patients underwent a total of 34 multimodality imaging examinations DW-MRI at 1.5 T Philips MRI scanner [(n = 24) pre-, during- (2-3 wk), and post-treatment (Tx), and sup>18sup>F-FDG PET/CT pre- and post-Tx (n = 10)]. All patients received RT. Monoexponential modeling of the DW-MRI data yielded the imaging metric apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) and the mean of standardized uptake value (sUV) was measured from sup>18sup>F-FDG PET uptake. All patients had a clinical follow-up as the standard of care and survival status was documented at 1 *** was a strong negative correlation between the mean of pretreatment ADC (ρ = -0.67, P = 0.01) and the pretreatment sup>18sup>F-FDG PET sUV. The percentage (%) change in delta (∆) ADC for primary tumors and neck nodal metastases between pre- and Wksub>2-3sub> Tx were as follows: 75.4% and 61.6%, respectively, for the patient with no evidence of disease, 27.5% and 32.7%, respectively, for those patients who were alive with disease, and 26.9% and 7.31%, respectively, for those who were dead with *** results are preliminary in nature and are indicative, and not definitive, trends rendered by the imaging metrics due to the small sample size of HPV- HNsCC patients in a Meixoeiro Hospital of Vigo Experience.

The high rates of depression,burnout,and increased risk of suicide among medical students,residents,and physicians in comparison with other careers signal a mental health crisis within our *** contend that this crisis coupled with the inadequate acquisition of interpersonal skills during medical education results from the interaction between a challenging environment and the mental capital of ***,we posit that mindfulness-based practices are instrumental for the development of major components of mental capital,such as resilience,flexibility of mind,and learning skills,while also serving as a pathway to enhance empathy,compassion,self-awareness,conflict resolution,and relational ***,the evidence base supporting the effectiveness of mindfulness-based interventions has been increasing over the years,and a growing number of medical schools have already integrated mindfulness into their *** we acknowledge that mindfulness is not a panacea for all educational and mental health problems in this field,we argue that there is currently an unprecedented opportunity to gather momentum,spread and study mindfulness-based programs in medical schools around the world as a way to address some longstanding shortcomings of the medical profession and the health and educational systems upon which it is rooted.

目的ZentangleR艺术治疗方法被应用于心理健康相关领域,尚未在边缘型人格障碍患者得到验证。本研究分析边缘型人格障碍患者接受ZentangleR艺术治疗方法的练习体验。方法采用现象学解释方法,对患者进行半结构化访谈。患者均已在西班牙某医院的人格障碍治疗室接受了每个月1次,共6次ZentangleR艺术治疗。本研究中共访谈了15例患者。smith、Flowers和Larkin方法用于资料分析中的评估。结果根据研究结果,共提炼出3个类别的主题:有耕耘即有收获(参与者报告了注意力、放松、人际关系、与环境互动方面的改善,以及接受和改变的积极体验);众擎易举(患者认可在团体中感觉更好,并建立了相互联系;他们也描述了团体环境对个人行为的影响);画出自己的轨迹(通过绘画方式提供了自我表达和自我认识的媒介,通过情感表达提升了幸福感,提高了创造力,增强了自信心)。结论通过练习ZentangleR,患者可以作出灵活性和适应性等行为反应,通过焦虑管理、冲动控制改善情绪健康,学习应对问题,提高自尊或注意力。心理健康护理在边缘型人格的综合治疗及协同多样化补充性干预措施中发挥着积极作用。

Tribological behavior of ammonium-based protic ionic liquid as lubricant additive

In this study, the tribological behavior of an ammonium-based protic ionic liquid(PIL) as an additive in a base mineral oil(MO) is investigated on a steel–steel contact at room temperature and 100℃. Tri-[bis(2-hydroxyethylammonium)] citrate(DCi) was synthesized in a simple and low-cost way, and the ionic structure of DCi was confirmed by proton nuclear magnetic resonance(^(1)H NMR). The stability measurement of 1 wt% DCi to a MO was investigated, and the lubricating ability and anti-wear properties of DCi as an additive in MO were also examined using a custom-designed reciprocating ball-on-flat tribometer. Optical microscope and profilometry were used to obtain the worn morphology of the steel disks. scanning electron microscopy(sEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDs) were carried out to investigate the wear mechanism and to analyze the surface interactions between the rubbing components. When 1 wt% DCi is added into the base MO, frictional performance is improved at both temperatures studied with a friction reduction of 29.0% and 35.5%, respectively. Moreover, the addition of 1 wt% DCi to MO reduced the wear volume 59.4% compared to the use of MO. An oxygen-richened tribolayer is confirmed by EDs on the disk surface when DCi was used as additive under 100℃.

The aim of this work is to study the solution of the smoothed particle hydrodynamics(sPH)discrete formulation of the hydrostatic problem with a free *** problem,in which no time dependency is considered,takes the form of a system of linear *** particular,the problem in one dimension is *** focus is set on the convergence when both the particle spacing and the smoothing length tend to zero by keeping constant their *** of this ratio of the order of one,corresponding to a limited number of neighbors,are of practical ***,the problem in which each particle has one single neighbor at each side is *** explicit expressions of the numerical solution and the quadratic error are provided in this *** expression of the quadratic error demonstrates that the sPH solution does not converge to the exact one in general under the specified *** this case,the error converges to a residue,which is in general large compared to the norm of the exact *** cases with two and three neighbors are also *** analytical study in the case of two neighbors is performed,showing how the kernel influences the accuracy of the solution through modifying the condition number of the referred system of linear *** addition to that,a numerical investigation is carried out using several Wendland kernel *** two and three neighbors are involved it is found that the error tends in most cases to a small limiting value,different from zero,while divergent solutions are also found in the case of two neighbors with the Wendland Kernel *** cases with more neighbors are also *** general,the Wendland Kernel C2 turns out to be the worst choice,as the solution is divergent for certain values of the ratio between the particle spacing and the smoothing length,associated with an ill-conditioned matrix.

“Bad regenerators” die after spinal cord injury:insights from lampreys

In mammalian species, including humans, spinal cord in- jury （sCI） leads to permanent disability. A major cause of disability after sCI is the failure of axotomized descending axons to regenerate across the trauma zone and to reconnect to they appropriate targets distal to the site of injury. Cur- renfly, major research efforts are devoted to find new ways of promoting the regrowth of damaged descending axons. However, activation of axonal regrowth will depend on the survival of the axotomized descending brain neurons.

Biliary stone causing afferent loop syndrome and pancreatitis

We report the case of an 84-year-old female who had a partial gastrectomy with Billroth-Ⅱ anastomosis 24 years ago for a benign peptic ulcer who now presented an acute pancreatitis secondary to an afferent loop syndrome. The syndrome was caused by a gallstone that migrated through a cholecystoenteric fistula. This is the first description in the literature of a biliary stone causing afferent loop syndrome.

In this paper, we offer a graded equivalence between the quotient categories defined by any graded Morita-Takeuchi context via certain modifications of the graded cotensor functors. As a consequence, we show a commutative diagram that establish the relation between the closed objects of the categories gr^c and M^C, where C is a graded coalgebra.
