The effect of rotational speed on macro and microstructures, hardness, lap shear performance and failure mode of friction stir lap welding on AA6061-T6 Al alloy with 5 mm in thickness was studied by field-emission scanning electron microscopy （FE-SEM）. The results represent much closer hardness distribution in the upper and lower plates at the lowest rotational speed. It indicates the Fe-compounds in the fracture surface of the nugget zone by EDX.

The objective of this work is to analyze the temporal and spatial variability of the monthly mean aerosol index (AI) obtained from the Total Ozone Mapping Spectrometer (TOMS) and Ozone Monitoring Instrument (OMI) in comparison with the available ground observations in Nigeria during 1984-2013. It also aims at developing a regression model to allow the estimation of the values of AI in Nigeria based on the data from ground observations. TOMS and OMI data are considered and treated separately to provide continuity and consistency in the long-term data observations, together with the meteorological variable such as wind speed, visibility, air temperature and relative humidity that can be used to characterize the dust activity in Nigeria. The results revealed a strong seasonal pattern of the monthly distribution and variability of absorbing aerosols along a north to south gradient. The monthly mean AI showed higher values during the dry months (Harmattan) and lower values during the wet months (Summer) in all zones. From December to February, higher AI values are observed in the southern region, decreasing progressively towards the north, while during March-October, the opposite pattern is observed. The AI showed clear maximum values of 2.06, 1.93, and 1.87 (TOMS) and 2.32, 2.27 and 2.24 (OMI) in the month of January and minimum values in September over the north-central, southern and coastal zones, while showing maximum values of 1.76 (TOMS) and 2.10 (OMI) during March in the Sahel. New empirical algorithms for predicting missing AI data were proposed using TOMS data and multiple linear regression, and the model co-efficient was determined. The generated coefficients were applied to another dataset for cross-validation. The accuracy of the model was determined using the coefficient of determination R2 and the root mean square error (RMSE) calculated at the 95% confidence level. Native starches have many uses in food systems while modified starches have limitless use in food and non-food application. Starch composite based thermoplastic matrix had been investigated and well established. For our project, thermoset polymer as a matrix was incorporated with sago starch. In this work, sago starch was used as fillers onto UPR (UPR) matrix to induce degradability of composite. The polyester resin mixed with native starch were fabricated through hand lay-up and characterized using mechanical testing such as tensile, flexural, impact test and this is followed using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). Plasticizers were added to improve flexibility of composite. Starch/UPR system was surface treated with plasticizer and copolymer surfactant before fabrication. The individual effect of each additive and associated interactive effects at different starch loadings were investigated. Plasticizer and surfactant individually showed slight enhancement in composite starch/UPR strength. Tensile and flexural strength and modulus were found to change with the two additives employed namely plasticizer and copolymer. For impact strength, high impact properties were exhibited using both compatibilizer systems as compared to single compatibilizer system. The Scanning Electron Microscopy showed better dispersion of starch in 3D matrix system when plasticizer and copolymer surfactant was used and mixed together. Plasticizer and copolymer surfactant also demonstrated significant interactive effects on strength. Presence of both additives indicated that plasticizer and surfactant act synergistically by providing increased composite bonding that eventually generates a stronger composite as shown by increasing mechanical strength compared to individual use of additive system.

Nowadays, information technology （IT） has become a part of the working culture and environment in many organizations. Originally, it is not a supportive tool to make any business successful, but it have become the backbone of successful business recently. Any non-IT organization could become dead and non-productive. When time comes, maybe it will fail in the business market. However, the usage of IT instruments must be carried out in good and conducive environment especially for business market. In this study, a basic and practical management about how to manage IT asset in small organizations will be discussed. Then this kind of management will be further discussed when the company become small medium organization. The implementation of IT infrastructure, the requirements, infrastructures, services, and platform from software to hardware and networking devices needs to be known. However, this study focuses on networking infrastructure such as networking equipments, servers, network monitoring software, costing, and management best practices.

In this letter,we demonstrate synthesis of Carbon Nanotubes （CNTs） and also,fabrication and testing of CNTsbased gas *** were synthesized by Floating Catalyst Chemical Vapor Deposition （FC-CVD） at 950°C under methane gas flow rate of 150 Standard Cubic Centimeters per minute （SCCM） on quartz ***,the electrical resistance of CNTs was measured by exposing the sensor to CO2 and CH4 concentrations operating at room *** sensors were highly responsive to the gaseous *** the same experimental conditions,the recovery of the sensors was different for CO2 and *** fabrication process was relatively simple and did not require special techniques.

Hydro-alcoholic extract of the Indian traditional crude drug ’karanja’,the pods of Pongamia pinnata reduced the blood sugar level in Wistar albino ***-guided fractionation of the extract furnished a difuranoflavonol,pongamiaflavonol,which elicited prominent hypoglycemic effects in normal and streptozotocin-induced hyperglycemic rats.

Background: Ageing of the population is one of the most important demographic facts that come to the foreground in the 21st century. Objective: To assess the relationship between psychological factors (depression, loneliness, using anti anxiety medication, fear from falls and internal displacement of the population) and falls among elderly people in Baghdad city, Iraq. Methods: A matched 1:1 community based case-control study involving 716 elderly respondents, recruited randomly from six Non Governmental Organization (NGO) in different areas of Baghdad. Interviews to each respondent were done accordingly. Geriatric depression scale (GDS) was used to assess the depression among the elderly people. Results: The minimum age for cases and controls was 60 years old while the maximum age for cases was 87 and for controls was 85 years old. The female was predominant than male, 53.6% to 46.4% respectively. The relation between depression, fear from fall, using anti anxiety medication, internal displacement and falls was statistically significant
