BACKGROUND Incidence and severity variations of inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)have been reported from Western populations between continents and regions of the same ***,no data were available from other *** To investigate the regional differences in the IBD profiles of pediatric patients from the Kingdom of saudi *** Data from a national multicenter IBD study were *** incidence,time trend,and clinical presentation of Crohn’s disease(CD)and ulcerative colitis(UC)in the Central region(CR),Western region(WR),and Eastern region(ER)were analyzed and *** analysis included Poisson regression analysis for incidence variation and Chi-square test for demographic and clinical parameters.A Ps considered *** The prevalence of positive family history was lower in children with CD from the ER than the CR or the *** rate was higher in children with CD and UC from the CR and the ER,*** incidences and time trends of CD and UC were not significantly different between *** the ER,a significantly higher percentage of children with CD presented with abdominal pain(Pstools(P=0.048),stricturing or penetrating disease(P=0.029),higher erythrocyte sedimentation rate(Pel(P=0.014).For children with UC from the ER,a significantly higher percentage presented with anemia(P=0.006)and a lower percentage with pancolitis(PsION The most important finding is the identification of significantly more severe presentation of CD in the ER of the Kingdom of saudi *** studies are needed to explain such variations.

Climate change impact and adaptation on wheat yield, water use and water use efficiency at North Nile Delta

Investigation of climate change impacts on food security has become a global hot *** so,efforts to mitigate these issues in arid regions have been ***,in this paper,further research is discussed based on data obtained from various crop and climate *** DssATcrop models(CMs)(CEREsWheat and N-Wheat)were calibrated with two wheat cultivars(Gemiza9 and Misr1).A baseline simulation(1981-2010)was compared with different scenarios of simulations using three Global Climate Models(GCMs)for the 2030s,2050s and *** impacts of climate change were assessed using the GCMs and CMs under the high emission Representative Concentration Pathway(RCP8.5).Results predicted decreased wheat grain yields by a mean of 8.7%,11.4%and 13.2%in the 2030s,2050s and 2080s,respectively,relative to the baseline *** impacts of climatic change are probable,despite some uncertainties within the GCMs(i.e.,2.1%,5.0%and 8.0%)and CMs(i.e.,2.2%,6.0%and 9.2%).Changing the planting date with a scenario of plus or minus 5 or 10 days from the common practice was assessed as a potentially effective adaptation option,which may partially offset the negative impacts of climate *** the sowing date by 10 days(from 20 November to 30 November)proved the optimum scenario and decreased further reduction in wheat yields resulting from climate change to 5.2%,6.8%and 8.5%in the 2030s,2050s and 2080s,respectively,compared with the 20 November *** planting 5-days earlier scenario showed a decreased impact on climate change ***,the 10-days early planting scenario increased yield reduction under projected climate *** cultivar Misr1 was more resistant to rising temperature than *** the negative impacts of projected climate change on wheat production,water use efficiency would slightly *** ensemble of multi-model estimated impacts and adaptation uncertainties of climate change can assist decision-makers in planning clima

Polypropylene （PP） matrix composites reinforced with chemically treated Almond shell （As） particles with and without compatibilizer （PP-g-MA） was prepared by a twin-screw extrusion at loading of 20 wt.% As particles. Two types of chemical treatments （alkali treatment with sodium hydroxide and etherification with dodecane bromide） of the particles were carried out to improve the interface adhesion between particles and PP matrix. Results show that chemical modifications of As particles affect the mechanical and viscoelastic properties of As/PP composites. The composites reinforced with alkali treated particles and the compatibilized matrix lead to a notable increase in the Young＇s modulus （14%） compared to the composites with untreated As particles. The ductility of composite was also evaluated by the yield strain, and results show a notable increase （31%） compared to that of composites with untreated particles. The thermal stability increased with the use of etherification （385 ℃）, with gains in the temperature up to 23 ℃ compared to neat PP （362 ℃）. The achieved results show that the As/PP composites can be used in several applications. A thermoplastic matrix compsite mixed with treated As particles appears to be a good alternative to obtain environmentally friendly products.

Comparison of transvaginal cervical length and modified Bishop's score as predictors for labor induction in nulliparous women

Objective: To compare the transvaginal cervical length (TVCL) to the modified Bishop's score for prediction of successful labor induction in nulliparous women. Methods: A total of 210 nulliparous women who were diagnosed as premature rupture of membranes were recruited in this comparative prospective study, which was carried out in the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of Ain shams University, Egypt over two years for labor induction. The studied women were examined by trans-vaginal ultrasound for measurement of the cervical length (CL) and vaginally to calculate the modified Bishop's score, followed by induction of labor. Collected data were analyzed to compare the TVCL to the modified Bishop's score for prediction of successful labor induction in nulliparous women. The success of induction process was defined as vaginal birth after the induction of labor. Results: One hundred and forty-three women of studied women had CL elivered vaginally (P=0.030). One hundred and forty-six women of studied women had modified Bishop's score >4;128 of them delivered vaginally (P=0.006). The CL s significantly more specific with more positive predictive value as predictor of successful labor induction compared to modified Bishop's score. Induction to delivery time was significantly shorter in women with CL elivery time was significantly shorter in women with Bishop's score >4 than women with Bishop's score of 曑4 (P=0.01;95% confidence interval: 1.6-4.5). Conclusions: Both TVCL and the modified Bishop's score are complementary tools in pre-induction cervical assessment before induction of labor, while the TVCL at s significantly more specific with more positive predictive value as predictor of successful induction than the modified Bishop's score.

Realism rendering methods of outdoor augmented reality(AR)is an interesting *** items in outdoor AR need advanced impacts like shadows,sunshine,and relations between unreal items.A few realistic rendering approaches were built to overcome this *** of these approaches are not dealt with real-time ***,the issue remains an active research topic,especially in outdoor *** paper introduces a new approach to accomplish reality real-time outdoor rendering by considering the relation between items in AR regarding shadows in any place during *** proposed method includes three principal stages that cover various outdoor AR rendering ***,real shadow recognition was generated considering the sun’s location and the intensity of the *** second step involves real shadow ***,we introduced a shadow production algorithm technique and shades through its impacts on unreal items in the *** selected approach’s target is providing a fast shadow recognition technique without affecting the system’s *** achieved an average accuracy of 95.1%and an area under the curve(AUC)of 92.5%.The outputs demonstrated that the proposed approach had enhanced the reality of outside AR *** results of the proposed method outperformed other state-of-the-art rendering shadow techniques’outcomes.

Type Ⅰ kerogen-rich oil shale from the Democratic Republic of the Congo: mineralogical description and pyrolysis kinetics

The Democratic Republic of the Congo holds important reserves of oil shale which is still under geological ***,the characterization and pyrolysis kinetics of typeⅠkerogen-rich oil shale of the western Central Kongo(CK)were investigated.X-ray diffraction,Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy and thermal analysis(TG/DTA)showed that CK oil shale exhibits a siliceous mineral matrix with a consistent organic matter rich in aliphatic *** pyrolysis behavior of kerogen revealed the presence of a single mass loss between 300 and 550°C,estimated at 12.5%and attributed to the oil production ***-isothermal kinetics was performed by determining the activation energy using the iterative isoconversional model-free methods and exhibits a constant value with E=211.5±4.7 kJ *** most probable kinetic model describing the kerogen pyrolysis mechanism was obtained using the Coats–Redfern and Arrhenius plot *** results showed a unique kinetic triplet confirming the nature of kerogen,predominantly typeⅠand reinforcing the previously reported geochemical characteristics of the CK oil ***,the calculation of thermodynamic parameters(ΔH~*,Δs~*andΔG~*)corresponding to the pyrolysis of typeⅠkerogen revealed that the process is non-spontaneous,in agreement with DTA experiments.

Trade-off between accuracy, cost, and Qos using a beacon-on-demand strategy and Kalman filtering over a VANET

Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks （VANETs） have been suggested as an active and powerful field of research to mitigate environmental problems and challenges. The main challenge in a VANET is to ensure routing with a good Quality of service （Qos）. The Greedy Perimeter stateless Routing （GPsR） protocol is one of the most promising position- based routing mechanisms used to overcome this challenge. Its effectiveness depends entirely on the information on a node＇s mobility and the precision of this information. By broadcasting periodic beaconing within trans- mission boundary ranges, GPsR can manage neighbors＇ mobility information and maintain up-to-date lists of neighbours. Nevertheless, information on the position of a neighboring vehicle quickly becomes outdated, which negatively influences the efficiency of the routing. In order to monitor information mobility and to increase the Qos in this challenging area, position estimation needs to he considered. Thus, in this study, we examine the position estimation problem, and propose an improvement to the GPsR protocol, named KF-GPsR, where each vehicle estimates in real time the position of its neighbors using the Kalman filter algorithm. Indeed, by employing this strong estimation technique, it is possible to reduce consid- erably the frequency of exchanged beacon packets, while maintaining high position accuracy. For greater reliability, we also propose an extension to KF-GPsR, called BOD-KF-GPsR, that uses the ＂beacon-on-demand＂ process only if a node needs to rediscover its neighborhood. simulation experiments using the network simulator Ns-2 are presented to demonstrate the ability and usefulness of our two proposals. Here, we compare the pro- posed protocols against diverse common protocols： GPsR, AODV, DsR, and ZRP. The results show that BOD-KF- GPsR achieves a significant enhancement in terms of its packet delivery ratio, routing cost, normalized routing load, end-to-end delay, and throughput.

Correlation of oxidation reduction potential and total motile sperm count:its utility in the evaluation of male fertility potential

Oxidative stress(Os)is detri me ntal to sperm fun ctio ns,and the oxidation reductio n pote ntial(ORP)is a good measure of Os as it considers the balance betwee n oxidants and reducta *** motile sperm count(TMsC)is viewed as the single most im porta nt semen analysis parameter that can predict male infertility severity,and its correlation with ORP has never been *** objectives of this study were to assess the correlation between ORP and TMsC,to identify the ORP cutoff value based on the TMsC result,and to compare this cutoff value with previously reported ORP cutoff values in *** thousand one hundred and sixty-eight infertile patients and 100 fertile controls were *** and semen data of the participants were retrieved and *** on's rank-sum test compared variables betwee n infertile men and fertile controls;spearman's correlation assessed the static ORP(sORP)-TMsC relationship for the whole sample and among each group *** a 20×10^6TMsC threshold,receiver operator characteristic(ROC)analysis determined the sORP cutoff associated with the highest predictive *** was significantly negatively correlated with sORP across all participants(r=0.86,Ps(r=0.729,Ps(r=0.53,PsC threshold determined an sORP cutoff value of 2.34 mV/106sperm/ml to be associated with 82.9%sensitivity,82.8%specificity,91.5%positive predictive value(PPV),68.5%negative predictive value(NPV),and 82.9%overall *** with previously reported cutoff values in searched literature,the 2.34 mV/10^6sperm/ml cutoff value identified in our study yielded the highest overall diagnostic accuracy in the evaluation of in fertile men.

We present a theoretical study of the magnetic properties of the lanthanum copper manganate double perovskite La2CuMnO6 ceramic,using Monte Carlo *** analyze and discuss the ground state phase diagrams in different planes to show the effect of every physical *** on the Monte Carlo simulations,which combine Metropolis algorithm and Ising model,we explore the thermal behavior of the total magnetization and *** also present and discuss the influence of physical parameters such as the external magnetic field,the exchange coupling interactions between magnetic atoms,and the exchange magnetic field on the magnetization of the ***,the critical temperature of the system is about Tc=70 K,in agreement with the experimental ***,the hysteresis loops of La2CuMnO6 are discussed.

The identification and classification of collective people’s activities are gaining momentum as significant themes in machine learning,with many potential applications *** need for representation of collective human behavior is especially crucial in applications such as assessing security conditions and preventing crowd *** paper investigates the capability of deep neural network(DNN)algorithms to achieve our carefully engineered pipeline for crowd *** includes three principal stages that cover crowd analysis ***,individual’s detection is represented using the You Only Look Once(YOLO)model for human detection and Kalman filter for multiple human tracking;second,the density map and crowd counting of a certain location are generated using bounding boxes from a human detector;and Finally,in order to classify normal or abnormal crowds,individual activities are identified with pose *** proposed system successfully achieves designing an effective collective representation of the crowd given the individuals in addition to introducing a significant change of crowd in terms of activities *** results onMOT20 and sDHA datasets demonstrate that the proposed system is robust and *** framework achieves an improved performance of recognition and detection peoplewith a mean average precision of 99.0%,a real-time speed of 0.6ms non-maximumsuppression(NMs)per image for the sDHAdataset,and 95.3%mean average precision for MOT20 with 1.5ms NMs per image.
