Different kinds of soil animals and microorganisms inhabit the plant rhizosphere,which function closely to plant *** them,arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF)and earthworms play a critical role in sustaining the soilplant *** and AMF belong to the soil community and are soil beneficial organisms at different trophic *** of them improve soil fertility and structural development,collectively promoting plant growth and nutrient acquisition *** activities redistribute mycorrhizal fungi spores and give diversified effects on root mycorrhizal fungal *** inoculation with both earthworms and AMF strongly magnifies the response on plant growth through increased soil enzyme activities and changes in soil nutrient availability,collectively mitigating the negative effects of heavy metal pollution in plants and *** thus enhances phytoremediation and plant disease *** review simply outlines the effects of earthworms and AMF on the soil-plant *** effects of earthworms on root AMF colonization and activities are also *** paper also summarizes the interaction between earthworms and AMF on plants along with suggested future research.

This work investigates the steam condensation phenomena in an air-cooled *** considered horizontal flattened tube has a 30 mm hydraulic diameter,and its length is a function of the steam quality with a limit value between 0.95 and *** mass flow rate ranges from 4 to 40 kg/m^(2).s with a saturated temperature spanning an interval from 40°C to 80°C.A special approach has been implemented using the Engineering Equation Solver(EES)to solve a series of equations for the two-phase flow pattern and the related heat transfer coefficients.A wavy-stratified structure of the two-phase flow has been found when the mass rate was between 4 and 24 kg/m^(2).*** contrast,an initially annular flow is gradually converted into a wavy stratified flow(due to the condensation process taking place inside the flattened tube)when the considered range ranges from 32 to 40 kg/m^(2).s.

This work investigates the impact of varying the evaporator load on the performance and parameter characteristics of a heat pump.A series of experiments have been done on a vapor compression cycle heat pump which is run with *** evaporator in this system is a coil submerged in a water/glycol bath accommodated in a thermally insulated steel *** load of the evaporator is changed through a heater in this bath with a capacity of 1.8 *** glycol bath is mixed through an electric *** results showed that system pressures and temperatures generally increase and then decrease after a certain heat load has been *** same trend is for COP of the refrigeration system;hence there is an optimum load point to which the COP increases to a maximum and then starts to *** optimum point corresponds to the best efficiency of the system.

In this paper, experimental investigations are presented to assess the performance variations in a single cylinder spark ignited engine when run with three different gasoline-alcohol blends：（88% gasoline-12% methanol, 88% gasoline-12% ethanol and 88% gasoline-6% methanol-6% ethanol）. Additional tests are carried out with the basic gasoline fuel for comparison analysis and performance assessment. Engine performance is investigated under a variety of engine operating conditions. The results are presented in the domain of engine speed. In particular, the brake power of the engine is shown to be slightly increased. The brake thermal efficiency showed an increase compared with the basic gasoline engine. Similarly, it is shown that brake specific fuel consumption is enhanced compared with basic gasoline engine. The exhaust gas temperature showed a decrease compared with gasoline fuel which is preferable to reduce emissions. The alcohol additives are strongly recommended to enhance performance, increasing the mileage and reducing the emissions.

Objective: To determine if there is any significant association between stroke and both hypoalbuminema and hypoproteinemia. Patients and Methods: Total serum proteins “T.S.P.” and serum albumin were measured for 65 patients with stroke who were admitted to the medical and neurological wards at Baghdad Teaching Hospital in the Medical City from November 2003 to October 2004. Careful history was obtained and proper clinical examinations were done. Serum albumin, T.S.P., blood sugar, renal function, liver function and general urine examination “G.U.E.” were tested within 48 - 72 hours of the start of patient symptoms. These patients with hepatic and renal dysfunction and those with diabetes mellitus were excluded. The results were compared with the results obtained from control group, which consisted of 40 persons of matched age and sex. By application pf chi square test “X” to see the association of serum albumin with cigarette smoking, age, hypertension and the presence of carotid bruit. Results: The mean serum level of T.S.P. and serum albumin of those with stroke was 6.42 ± 0.322 g/dl, 3.26 ± 0.251 g/dl respectively, which was significantly lower than T.S.P. and serum albumin of the control “mean = 7.8 ± 0.257 g/dl, 4.73 ± 0.206 g/dl respectively” [P X2 = 25.14, P X2 = 15.57, P Conclusion: Hypoalbuminemia and hypoproteinemia are significantly associated with stroke.

The lethality of inorganic arsenic(As)and the threat it poses have made the development of efficient As detection systems a vital *** research work demonstrates a sensing layer made of hydrous ferric oxide(Fe_(2)H_(2)O_(4))to detect As(Ⅲ)and As(Ⅴ)ions in a surface plasmon resonance *** sensor conceptualizes on the strength of Fe_(2)H_(2)O_(4) to absorb As ions and the interaction of plasmon resonance towards the changes occurring on the sensing *** sensitivity values for As(Ⅲ)and As(Ⅴ)were 1.083°·ppb^(–1) and 0.922°·ppb^(-1),respectively,while the limit of detection for both ions was 0.6 *** findings support the feasibility and potential of the sensor configuration towards paving future advancement in As detection systems.

Random gain medium based on organic Rhodamine 590 (R590) laser-dye and Titanium dioxide (TiO2) suspended nanoparticles have been prepared with polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) as a host. Spray-coated homogeneous film samples of 22.4 μm thickness. Optimum concentrations have been determined depending on the normal fluorescence spectra which give evidence that the laser dye provides amplification and TiO2 nanoparticles act as scatter center. At the optimum concentrations, results of the random gain medium under second harmonic Nd: yAG laser excitation shows that the values of bandwidth at full width half-maximum (FWHM) and the threshold energy are about 11 nm and 10 mJ respectively.

This work is focused on developing zinc-doped hydroxyapatite-zeolite(Zn HA-Zeo)and polycaprolactone(PCL)composite coatings on magnesium(Mg)substrate to improve the corrosion resistance and antimicrobial ***-coating technique was used to coat Zn HA-Zeo/PCL on the Mg substrate at room *** samples were subjected to field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared(FTIR),energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX)and antimicrobial *** demonstrated that composite coatings consist of HA,scholzite,zeolite,and PCL *** spectra indicated the presence of calcium(Ca),silicon(Si),aluminum(Al),zinc(Zn),phosphorus(P)and oxygen(O).The composite surface appeared in spherical-like microstructure on coating with thickness ranging 226-260μ***-doped HA-Zeo composite coating had a high corrosion resistance and provided sufficient protection to the Mg surface against galvanic *** Zn HA-Zeo coating samples exhibited superior disc inhibition by confirming antimicrobial activity against the *** as compared to HA-Zeo *** these results showed that the Zn HA-Zeo coatings not only improved the corrosion resistance,but also enhanced the antimicrobial property and hence they can be used as suitable candidates for implant applications.
