Human papillomavirus in squamous cell carcinoma of esophagus in a high-risk population

AIM: To investigate the relation of human papillomavirus (HPV) and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC)in Iranian patients as compared to normal ***: Using MY09/MY11 consensus primers, we compared the prevalence of a HPV L1 gene in tumor tissues from 38 ESCC cases and biopsied tissues from 38endoscopically normal Iranian individuals. We also compared the presence of HPV16 and HPV18 in the same samples using type-specific E6/E7 ***: Fourteen (36.8%) of the 38 ESCC samples but only 5 (13.2%) of the 38 control samples were positive for the HPV L1 gene (P = 0.02). Five (13.2%) of the ESCC samples but none of the control samples were positive for the HPV16 E6/E7gene (P = 0.05). Three (7.9%) of the ESCC samples and 5 (13.2%) of the control samples were positive for the HPV18 E6/E7gene (P = 0.71).CONCLUSION: Our data are consistent with HPV DNA studies conducted in other high-risk areas for ESCC. HPV should be considered as a potential factor contributing to the high incidence of ESCC in Iran and other high-incidence areas of the world.

阿月浑子树木虱Agonoscena pistaciaeBurckhardt and Lauterer（半翅目：木虱总科）是伊朗园林树木阿月浑子树上常见的最具破坏性的害虫,其捕食性天敌锈褐原花蝽Anthocoris minki pistaciaeWagner在伊朗阿月浑子树种植区为该害虫的生防因子。本研究在17.5~35℃的8个恒温以及相对湿度55%±5%,光照周期16L∶8D的控制条件下,在***若虫上饲养这种捕食性花蝽的同时,调查温度对其发育的影响。结果表明：这种捕食性花蝽在17.5~32℃下可成功发育;然而在35℃下,卵不能孵化,且只有10%的若虫进入成虫阶段。30℃下从卵至成虫羽化的发育历期最短。据测算估计,这种捕食性花蝽的卵、若虫发育以及整个发育（卵至成虫）的积温分别为77,200和263度.日;卵、若虫和整个发育的低温度阈值分别为8.53,9.2和9.47℃。这些结果为建立阿月浑子树木虱的综合防治计划提供了宝贵的信息。

背景：加巴喷丁是一种抗癫痫药物,可用于治疗急性疼痛和慢性神经病理性疼痛。本研究旨在观察术前单剂量口服加巴喷丁对术后疼痛及术中血流动力学改变的影响。方法：32例ASA Ⅰ-Ⅱ级拟在择期全麻下行腹式子宫切除术的患者,随机分为两组,加巴喷丁组术前2小时口服1200毫克加巴喷丁和术中输注0.3μg/kg/min瑞芬太尼;安慰剂组,术前2小时口服安慰剂胶囊和术中输注0.3μg/kg/min瑞芬太尼。临床相关的疼痛评估包括直接法和间接法。直接法包括用von Frey细丝在非优势臂于术前、术后24小时测试机械痛阈值,及术后24小时,测试切口周围痛觉敏感区域的机械痛阈值。间接法包括术后1,6,12和24h小时分别评估疼痛强度VAS值,记录术后首次需求镇痛药的时间和术后24h PCA的累积使用量。同时观察记录围手术期不同时间点血流动力学变量,如心率,收缩压,舒张压,平均动脉压。对两组患者的不良反应发生率也进行观察和评估。结果：与加巴喷丁组比较,安慰剂组术后首次需求镇痛药的时间明显较短,术后24h PCA的累积使用量较大。加巴喷丁组术后24小时归一化切口周痛觉敏感面积显著小于安慰剂组。术后24小时安慰剂组非优势臂机械痛阈值与术前相比显著降低。加巴喷丁组在喉及气管插管操作时的心率,收缩压,舒张压,平均动脉压波动明显减少。加巴喷丁组眩晕的发生率较明显,需予拟交感药物治疗的低血压发生率较高。结论：术前2小时顿服加巴喷丁1200mg可以有效的减少术后阿片类药物的用量、减轻术后疼痛,预防阿片类药物引起的痛觉过敏。加巴喷丁作为辅助用药,可以有效地减弱手术开始时喉部操作对血流动力学的影响。

本研究旨在研究自新冠大流行以来,酒店业的变化及游客的态度和期望的转变。本研究旨在监督新冠大流行以来,游客在旅行期间(态度,期望)与(预期价值,预知风险和酒店危机策略)之间的关系。基于计划行为理论和期望理论;这项研究将探究在新冠大流行之后,游客的期望和态度上出现的新变化,以期对大流行后的游客有更多的了解。此项分析的适用方法是定性研究,旨在分析和理解个人对特定社会或人类障碍的价值属性(Creswell,2014;Yin,2015)。定性研究的方法可以在了解像新冠肺炎这样的流行病,参与这些流行病的人以及有效的解决方案和策略方面起到核心作用。考虑到这项研究与游客表现出的特定行为有关,定性研究似乎更为相关,因为它被称为管理研究的一种适用的研究形式(Creswell,2014)。为此,基于对中东游客的采访样本,对他们大流行后对酒店住宿要求所做的改变进行研究。这些变化将对他们的旅行期望、需求产生哪些改变,并将其之前和之后的反应进行对比;在新冠大流行期间的风险、服务、政策及其个人态度变化。本文在NVivo12软件上对访谈进行了分析,以检验研究中提出的假设之间的关系。NVivo软件一直是世界上被引用最多的QDA软件,已被世界各地的公司和大学要求在定性研究中获得最准确的可视化数据。结果将显示游客是否受到新冠大流行的影响,并怎样改变了他们对酒店业的态度和期望。他们的决定取决于他们对风险的认识以及其他酒店利益相关者采取的预防措施。本研究丰富了计划行为理论和预期理论的文献。本研究将是一项衡量感知价值、感知风险和危机管理的研究,这些研究将衡量前一个依赖变量与态度和期望的关系。本研究有利于酒店业股东和旅游管理者了解旅游者及其新的需求、应对措施以及他们对大流行的期待,这将是旅游业复苏的最终途径。

ADVENTURE on Windows is a collection of finite element modules including ADVENTUREolid ported to Microsoft Windows for use in a single CPU. It supports the iterative domain decomposition method with a preconditioner for the solution of linear equations. This paper analyzed 3 dimensional linear elastic stress problems and measured the performance of the finite element software ADVENTURE on Windows. A complete finite element analysis from CAD design to visualization was performed in this research successfully. Two simple models have been considered for the linear elastic problems. Computational results show the computation time, required memory, convergence criteria and some limitations of the software.

Our previous results indicated that both the secreted and the intracellular form of full length and 1-97 N-terminal fragment of IGFBP-3 induce apoptosis in PC-3 human prostate cancer cells in an IGF-dependent and independent manner. This study was undertaken to delineate possible down-stream signaling pathways that are involved in this process. Intact IGFBP-3 and its N-terminal 1-97 fragments with or without a signal propeptide were fused to YFP and expressed in PC-3 human prostate cancer cells. In some cases, the putative IGF-binding site was presented in full length IGFBP-3 and its N-terminal fragment was also mutated. Extent of apoptosis was quantified using FACS. Up-regulation of total Stat-1 and activation of phospho-Stat-1 were shown by western blot. TGF-β signal was measured by luciferase reporter assay. Results from inhibitor studies indicated that both the Caspase 8 and caspase 9 pathways are involved in IGFBP-3 (non-secreted form) which induced apoptosis in PC-3 cells. Exogenous addition of IGFBP-3 to PC-3 cells increased Stat-1 protein expression/tyrosine phosphorylation. Interestingly, results also showed that knockdown of Stat-1 by siRNA potentiated the IGFBP-3 induced apoptosis in PC-3 cells. In addition, both full-length IGFBP-3 and its 1-97 Nterminal fragments inhibited TGF-β signaling in these cells. This is the first report that compares the signal transduction pathways involved in apoptotic pathways mediated by IGFBP-3 in PC-3 human prostate cancer cells. Non-secreted form of full length IGFBP-3 and its N-terminal fragments induced apoptosis in PC-3 cells via activation of caspase 8 and caspase 9. Although, only non-secreted form of IGFBP-3 is involved in inducing apoptosis in PC-3 cells via caspase 8 and caspase 9 activation pathways but both secreted and non-secreted forms of IGFBP-3 are involved in modulating Stat-1 and TGF-β pathways to induce apoptotic actions in PC-3 cells. Being familiar with characteristics of industrial town effluents from various wastewater treatment units, which have high qualitative and quantitative variations and more uncertainties compared to urban wastewaters, plays very effective role in governing them. With regard to environmental issues, proper operation of wastewater treatment plants is of par- ticular importance that in the case of inappropriate utilization, they will cause serious problems. Processes that exist in environmental systems mostly have two major characteristics: they are dependent on many variables;and there are complex relationships between its components which make them very difficult to analyze. In order to achieve a better and efficient control over the operation of an industrial wastewater treatment plant (WWTP), powerful mathematical tool can be used that is based on recorded data from some basic parameters of wastewater during a period of treatment plant operation. In this study, the treatment plant was divided into two main subsystems including: Low TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) treatment unit and Biological unit (extended aeration). The multilayer perceptron feed forward neural network with a hidden layer and stop training method was used to predict quality parameters of the industrial effluent. Data of this study are related to the Fajr Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant, located in Mahshahr—Iran that qualita- tive and quantitative characteristics of its units were used for training, calibration and validation of the neural model. Also, Principal Component Analysis (PCA) technique was applied to improve performance of generated models of neural networks. The results of L-TDS unit showed good accuracy of the models in estimating qualitative profile of wastewater but results of biological unit did not have sufficient accuracy to being used.
