The effect of graphene oxide(GO)and reduced graphene oxide(RGO)nanosheets on the microstructure and mechanical properties of welded joints of mild steel was evaluated by flux-cored arc *** was synthesized by the Hummer’s method and was reduced under hydrothermal conditions at a pressure of 1.1 MPa at 180°C for 12 h.1,3,and 10 mg/mL paste fillers were used in GO and RGO,and applied to the weld *** results clearly showed that by increasing the concentration of RGO up to 10 mg/mL,the tensile strength and hardness of the weld metal were improved by approximately 20.5%and 38.4%,respectively,because the coarse grains were changed into fine *** domain of the nanosheets cluster was 19.85×10^?9 ***,the RGO nanosheets contributed to modifying the mechanical properties of the welded steel,likely due to dislocation pinning.

Regarding the importance of watersheds in arid and semi-arid regions, it is necessary to better protect water supplies such as dam reservoirs. The most efficient way of conserving water sources is to apply proper management to decrease erosion and sedimentation. The first step of this process is to be aware of sediment yield （Qs）/production and identify erosive zones in upper reach of reservoirs. The present study aims to evaluate Qs and production in Pacific Southwest Inter-Agency Committee （PSIAC） and mod- ified PSIAC （MPSIAC） models by using satellite data, GIS analysis, and field observations. According to the results, the study area can be categorized into five erosive classes： very high, high, moderate, low and negligible. The east part of the watershed is slightly eroded due to its hard surface geology and relatively flat topography characteristics, while the northern and southern parts of the basin are highly eroded because of the high erodibility potential of soil and intensive cultivation of the area. A comparison of the output maps from PSIAC and MPSIAC models showed that the calculated Qs in most parts correspond well in both models and with field observa- tions. The results of regression between main determining factors （surface geology, soil, topography and land cover） and Qs derived from each model indicated moderate to strong correlation coefficient （R2 = 0.436-0.996 to 0.893- 0.998） after PSIAC and MPSIAC models, respec- tively.

In this paper, an all-optical bistable switching operation of resonant-tunneling devices with ultra-small photonic crystal cavity was demonstrated. The whole structure was based on a square lattice photonic crystal formed by rods of refractive index nr=3.4 in an air background. The cavity was surrounded by eight nonlinear rods of refractive index nL0= 3.1 and nonlinear Kerr coefficient n2= 9x 10-17 W/m2. Nonlinear finite difference time domain method was used to get a bistability hysteresis loop. Next, all-optical wavelength controlled power source （WCPS）, hard-limiter and switching operation based on optical nonlinearity were shown. And that small cavity structure has a small length of 12 μm. Considering the numerous applications and small length, this proposed structure has various potential function in all-optical circuits.

Ocular trauma treated with pars plana vitrectomy: early outcome report

AIM： To evaluate demographic variables and visual outcomes, among patients with ocular injuries involving the posterior segment, managed with pars plana vitrectomy.· METHODS： The records of patients were studied retrospectively from March to September 2010, to determine the age, gender, place of occurrence of trauma, visual acuity, anatomical site, nature of injury,wound length, the presence of an afferent pupillary defect, and the timing of vitrectomy. The Ocular Trauma Score was measured. The minimum follow-up from presentation was 6mo.·RESULTS： Ninety patients（77 males, 13 females）, with a mean age of 32.7 ±15.8y were included over the 6-month period. The majority of cases occurred in the workplace（47 patients）, followed by home（14 patients）.The mean visual acuity（log MAR） of patients significantly improved from 2.36 ±0.72 preoperatively to 1.50 ±1.14 postoperatively. Twenty-three patients had preoperative vision better than 2.0 log MAR, the postoperative visual acuity was significantly better among these patients than patients with worse than 2.0 log MAR（P 〈0.001）. Visual improvement between groups with early vitrectomy（〉7d）and delayed vitrectomy（〉7d） was not significantly different（P =0.66）. Postoperative visual acuity was not significantly different between patients with injury in Zone I and II（P =0.64）, but patients with injury in Zone III had significantly poorer visual acuity（P =0.02）. Patients with relative afferent pupillary defect had significantly poorer postoperative visual acuity（P =0.02）. Preoperative visual acuity, the difference of preoperative and postoperative visual acuity, and postoperative visualacuity were significantly different between groups with different ocular trauma scores（P〈 0.001）.·CONCLUSION： Trauma is more likely to occur in men under 40 y of age and in the workplace. Background: Drug abuse could cause complications;infection and overdose are the most prevalent of them. Unreliable history of addicted patients also makes the diagnosis difficult and leads to delayed treatment and poor prognosis. Early recognition and prompt treatment are required to minimize the destructive damage. To our knowledge, there is not any previous report of bilateral eye injection among drug abusers, causing traumatic endophthalmitis in the English literature and our report helps ophthalmologists to think about rare sources of endophthalmitis. Aim: The aim is to emphasize the importance of considering exogenous endophthalmitis in I.V. drug users who abuse drugs. Methods: A 40-year-old I.V. drug user man was referred complaining a history of the pain, redness and impaired vision of both eyes from three days ago. Perilimbal injection and anterior chamber cellular reaction were present in both eyes. Both corneas were hazy;corneal edema, abscess, sealed corneal lacerations and dull red reflex were visible in both eyes. Results: After an ultrasonography based on the suspicion of endophthalmitis, anterior chamber and vitreous aspiration and intravitreal injection of vancomycin 1 mg and ceftazidime 2.25 mg were performed. The right eye rapidly deteriorated and was eviscerated two days later and the left eye had a good response to medications. Conclusion: This report illustrates that the orbit can be a potential site of drug injection and endophthalmitis should be considered in individuals who abuse drugs.

Cloud computing environment is getting more interesting as a new trend of data *** replication has been widely applied to improve data access in distributed systems such as Grid and ***,due to the finite storage capacity of each site,copies that are useful for future jobs can be wastefully deleted and replaced with less valuable ***,it is considerable to have appropriate replication strategy that can dynamically store the replicas while satisfying quality of service(QoS)requirements and storage capacity *** this paper,we present a dynamic replication algorithm,named hierarchical data replication strategy(HDRS).HDRS consists of the replica creation that can adaptively increase replicas based on exponential growth or decay rate,the replica placement according to the access load and labeling technique,and finally the replica replacement based on the value of file in the *** evaluate different dynamic data replication methods using CloudSim *** demonstrate that HDRS can reduce response time and bandwidth usage compared with other *** means that the HDRS can determine a popular file and replicates it to the best *** method avoids useless replications and decreases access latency by balancing the load of sites.

Interior-Point Methods(IPMs)not only are the most effective methods in practice but also have polynomial-time *** researchers have proposed IPMs for Linear Optimization(LO)and achieved plentiful *** many cases these methods were extendable for LO to Linear Complementarity Problems(LCPs)*** this paper,motivated by the complexity results for linear optimization based on the study of *** et al.(mansouri and Zangiabadi in ***.62(2):285–297,2013),we extend their idea for LO to *** proposed algorithm requires two types of full-Newton steps are called,feasibility steps and(ordinary)centering steps,*** each iteration both feasibility and optimality are reduced exactly at the same *** each iteration of the algorithm we use the largest possible barrier parameter valueθwhich lies between the two values 117n and 113n,this makes the algorithm faster convergent for problems having a strictly complementarity solution.

In this paper,a wide-neighborhood predictor-corrector feasible interiorpoint algorithm for linear complementarity problems is *** algorithm is based on using the classical affine scaling direction as a part in a corrector step,not in a predictor *** convergence analysis of the algorithm is shown,and it is proved that the algorithm has the polynomial complexity O(√n logε^(−1))which coincides with the best known iteration bound for this class of mathematical *** numerical results indicate the efficiency of the algorithm.
