The Safaga Region(SR)is part of the Red Sea mountain range in *** flash flooding is now an inescapable event,wreaking havoc and causing massive loss of life and *** majority of the floodwater,however,has been wasted as runoff to the Red Sea,which,if used wisely,could meet a fraction of the water demands for a variety of applications in this *** current work aims to use GIS techniques to integrate remote sensing data for evaluating,mitigating,and managing flash floods in *** data set comprised Tropical Rainfall measuring mission(TRmm)thematic rainfall data,1:50,000 scale topographical map sheets,geological maps,the ASTER Digital Elevation model(ASTER GDEm),Landsat 7 Enhanced Thematic mapper"(ETm7+),and Landsat 8 Operational Land *** flash flood risk model of SR is developed using ArcGIS-10.3 geoprocessing tools integrating all the causal factors thematic *** final flood risk model for the SR suggests that 57%of the total basins in the SR are at high risk of *** 38%of all basins are at moderate flood *** remaining 5%of basins are less prone to ***-prone zones were identified,suitable dam-building sites were located,and extremely probable areas for water recharge were *** the basis of reliable scientific data,structural and non-structural mitigation strategies that might reduce the damage susceptibility,alleviate the sensitivity of the flash flood,and best utilize its water supply were recommended.

In this study,a bald eagle optimizer(BEO)is used to get optimal parameters of the fractional-order proportional-integral-derivative(FOPID)controller for load frequency control(LFC).SinceBEOtakes only a very short time in finding the optimal solution,it is selected for designing the FOPID controller that improves the system stability and maintains the frequency within a satisfactory range at different *** and demonstrations are carried out using *** performance of the BEOFOPID controller is evaluated using a two-zone interlinked power system at different loads and under uncertainty of wind and solar *** robustness of the BEO-FOPID controller is examined by testing its performance under varying system time *** results obtained by the BEOFOPID controller are compared with those obtained by BEO-PID and PID controllers based on recent metaheuristics optimization algorithms,namely the sine-cosine approach,Jaya approach,grey wolf optimizer,genetic algorithm,bacteria foraging optimizer,and equilibrium optimization *** results confirm that the BEO-FOPID controller obtains the finest result,with the lowest frequency *** results also confirm that the BEOFOPID controller is stable and robust at different loads,under varying system time constants,and under uncertainty of wind and solar energies.

Among the crop production factors,preceding crop and tillage management affect the sustainable use of soil resources and ultimately crop growth and *** study aimed at investigating the impact of preceding winter crops(grass or legume)and different tillage systems on forage yield,quality and nutritive values of three summer grass(Sudan grass,pearl millet and teosinte)and two legume forage crops(cowpea and guar)under arid *** results exhibited that growing forage crops after legumes(as berseem clover)produced the highest fresh and dry forage yields and quality attributes compared with grasses(as wheat)with the exception of crude fiber content,which was ***,tillage practices showed positive impact on forage yields and quality *** maximum forage yields and quality parameters were recorded under conventional tillage(CT)practice compared with reduced tillage(RT)and no-tillage(NT)*** the evaluated crops,the highest yields of fresh forage,dry forage,crude fiber,crude protein and total digestible nutrient were exhibited by grass forage crops(Sudan grass,pearl millet and teosinte),whereas the highest crude protein content and the digestible energy values were produced by legume forage crops(cowpea and guar).The maximum fresh forage,dry forage,crude fiber,crude protein,total digestible nutrient and digestible crude protein yields were produced by pearl millet followed by Sudan grass under CT and RT after berseem *** highest net return was recorded by sowing pearl millet after berseem clover and applying CT followed by RT practices,which could be recommended for the commercial ***,it could be assumed that the combination of growing grass forage crops after legume crops under CT or RT systems could enhance forage crop yield and quality with an improvement in soil properties for sustainable agriculture with low cost and the highest net income.

In recent years,many trials have been made to use the Rate Transient Analysis(RTA)techniques as a method to describe the gas condensate *** problem with using these techniques is the multi-phase behavior of the gas condensate ***,the Pressure Transient Analysis(PTA)is commonly used in this case to analyze the reservoir *** this paper,we are going to compare the results of both PTA and RTA of three wells in gas condensate *** comparison showed a great match between the results of the two mentioned techniques for the first time using a reference GOR of 75,000 SCF/***,we concluded that we could depend on RTA instead of PTA to spare the cost associated with the PTA in the gas condensate reservoirs.

We propose a relaxation rate or dissipative cavity-based parameters that can be used as indicators of the stationary limit of a mixed state geometric phase. We perform our considerations for the system of a superconducting qubit in an open transmission line or interacting with a dissipative cavity. This system is very useful for performing an effective quantum computation by exhibiting the long collapse time of the geometric phase. It is shown that the geometric phase in the stationary limit does not depend on interaction time if the decay time exceeds an upper bound.

A well-known ternary plastic explosive,Czech Semtex 1H,contains a mixture of PETN and RDX softened by *** this work,BCHmX was used to replace PETN in Semtex 1H to form Sem-BC+*** addition,another mixture based on BCHmX and HmX as energetic fillers bonded by the polymeric matrix of Semtex 1H(Sem-BC+HmX)was *** particle size distribution of each individual explosive was determined to obtain the optimum mixing *** and impact sensitivities were *** velocity of detonation was reported practically and the detonation properties were calculated by EXPLO5 *** explosive strength of each sample was measured by the ballistic mortar *** conclusion confirms that the velocity of detonation of Sem-BC+HmX was the highest in comparison with the prepared ***-BC+RDX has the least impact and frictions ***-BC+RDX has higher detonation velocity,detonation properties and explosive strength than Semtex *** of BCHmX in Semtex 1H as a replacement for PETN is the candidate to produce a high performance advanced Czech plastic explosive.

Humic acid(HA)can adsorb onto mineral surfaces,modifying the physicochemical properties of the ***,understanding the sorption behavior of HA onto mineral surfaces is of particular interest,since the fate and transport of many organic and inorganic contaminants are highly correlated to HA adsorbed onto clay *** to the extreme heterogeneity of HA,the extracted IHSS Leonardite humic acid(LHA)used in this work was fractionated using an ultrafiltration technique(UF)into different molecular size fractions(Fr1,>0.2μm;Fr2,0.2 pm-300,000 daltons;Fr3,300,000-50,000 daltons;Fr4,50,000-10,000 daltons;Fr5,10,000-1000 daltons).Equilibrium and the kinetics of LHA and fraction adsorption onto kaolinite and montmorillonite were *** results demonstrated that the maximum adsorption capacity of LHA,Frl,Fr2,Fr3,Fr4,and Fr5 was 5.99,13.69,10.29,7.02,5.9&and 5.09 on kaolinite while it was 8.29,22.62,13.17,8.91,8.62,and 5.69 on montmorillonite,*** adsorption equilibrium data showed that the adsorption behavior of LHA and its fractions could be described more practically by the Langmuir model than the Freundlich *** rate of humic acid fraction adsorption onto clays increased with decreasing molecular size fraction and increasing carboxylic group ***-first-and second-order models were used to assess the kinetic data and the rate *** results explained that LHA and its fractions adsorption on clay minerals conformed more to pseudosecondo rder.

AIm: To develop a mathematical model for the early detection of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) with a panel of serum proteins in combination with α-fetoprotein (AFP).mETHODS: Serum levels of interleukin (IL)-8, soluble intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (sICAm-1), soluble tumor necrosis factor receptor II (sTNF-RII), proteasome, and β-catenin were measured in 479 subjects categorized into four groups: (1) HCC concurrent with hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection (n = 192); (2) HCV related liver cirrhosis (LC) (n = 96); (3) Chronic hepatitis C (CHC) (n = 96); and (4) Healthy controls (n = 95). The R package and different modules for binary and multi-class classifiers based on generalized linear models were used to model the data. Predictive power was used to evaluate the performance of the model. Receiver operating characteristic curve analysis over pairs of groups was used to identify the best cutoffs differentiating the different ***: We revealed mathematical models, based on a binary classifier, made up of a unique panel of serum proteins that improved the individual performance of AFP in discriminating HCC patients from patients with chronic liver disease either with or without cirrhosis. We discriminated the HCC group from the cirrhotic liver group using a mathematical model (-11.3 + 7.38 × Prot + 0.00108 × sICAm + 0.2574 × β-catenin + 0.01597 × AFP) with a cutoff of 0.6552, which achieved 98.8% specificity and 89.1% sensitivity. For the discrimination of the HCC group from the CHC group, we used a mathematical model [-10.40 + 1.416 × proteasome + 0.002024 × IL + 0.004096 × sICAm-1 + (4.251 × 10-4) × sTNF + 0.02567 × β-catenin + 0.02442 × AFP] with a cutoff 0.744 and achieved 96.8% specificity and 89.7% sensitivity. The current study aimed at evaluating the capabilities of seven advanced machine learning techniques(mLTs),including,Support Vector machine(SVm),Random Forest(RF),multivariate Adaptive Regression Spline(mARS),Artificial Neural Network(ANN),Quadratic Discriminant Analysis(QDA),Linear Discriminant Analysis(LDA),and Naive Bayes(NB),for landslide susceptibility modeling and comparison of their *** machine learning algorithms with spatial data types for landslide susceptibility mapping is a vitally important *** study was carried out using GIS and R open source software at Abha Basin,Asir Region,Saudi ***,a total of 243 landslide locations were identified at Abha Basin to prepare the landslide inventory map using different data *** the landslide areas were randomly separated into two groups with a ratio of 70%for training and 30%for validating *** landslide-variables were generated for landslide susceptibility modeling,which include altitude,lithology,distance to faults,normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI),landuse/landcover(LULC),distance to roads,slope angle,distance to streams,profile curvature,plan curvature,slope length(LS),and *** area under curve(AUC-ROC)approach has been applied to evaluate,validate,and compare the mLTs *** results indicated that AUC values for seven mLTs range from 89.0%for QDA to 95.1%for *** findings showed that the RF(AUC=95.1%)and LDA(AUC=941.7%)have produced the best performances in comparison to other *** outcome of this study and the landslide susceptibility maps would be useful for environmental protection.
