Objective:To describe the breed predisposition, clinical diagnosis, pathological findings and the surgical approach through excision of the hyperplasic mass from the ***:Twenty five bitches of different breeds suffering from a protruded mass from the vulva were examined clinically, blood samples were collected to ensure the phase of estrus that were determined by evaluating the exfoliative vaginal epithelium, and a histopathological examination of the hyperplastic mass was done after its surgical ***:The current work revealed that the maximum value of estradiol 17-B was in Alabai breed while the maximum value of progesterone was in Pit bull breed. And Pit bull breed showed cornification and stratification of the vaginal mucosa with abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm and regular round ***:As the vaginal hyperplasia is a crucial gynaecological problem that affects different breeds of bitches, the current work provides a comprehensive diagnosis of the case and illustrates the surgical interference for its excision.

利用三异辛胺(TOA)纯化Gattar小型试验工厂的高浓度铀溶液(洗脱液的铀浓度7 g·L-1),研究了脉冲萃取柱的性能。利用实验室级脉冲萃取柱进行了实验室规模的溶剂萃取实验和后续实验。结果表明,在室温、p H=1和有机相与水相的比例(VO/VA)约为1.8∶1时,加入二(2-乙基己基)磷酸(D2EHPA)使其与TOA的比例(VD2EHPA/VTOA)为2∶3,可使萃取克服Cl-的抑制效应,提高效率。将结论用于考察试验工厂级萃取柱的流体力学和传质性能,结果表明用脉冲萃取柱萃取铀可以达到97%的萃取效率,具有可行性。

Objective: To study the effect of adding different concentrations of soybean lecithin in Tris based extender and to compare the results of Tris soybean lecithin extender with two commercial diluents (egg yolk-based: BullXcell and plant-based: OptiXcell) for Damascus goat sperm cryopreservation. Methods: The ejaculates from 4 mature male Damascus goats were obtained by using an artificial vagina. Semen samples were pooled and diluted in Tris extender supplemented with soybean lecithin at different concentrations of 1.5%, 3.0%, 6.0% and 10.0% to get better concentration to be used for further experiments, with a final concentration of 240×106 spermatozoa/mL. Semen samples were packed in straws (0.25 mL), frozen by using an automated system and stored in liquid nitrogen at -196 ℃ for 48 h. After thawing (37 ℃/30 s), the samples were evaluated for sperm quality parameters, including sperm motility, membrane integrity and acrosome integrity. Malondialdehyde concentration was estimated as a marker for lipid peroxidation. Based on the previous investigations, only Tris extender supplemented with 3.0% soybean lecithin (based on its positive results) was used versus BullXcell and OptiXcell for sperm ultrastructure evaluation and artificial insemination by using electron microscope and artificial insemination of the synchronized does. Results: There was no significant difference between Tris-soybean lecithin at 3.0% and BullXcell/OptiXcell diluents in post-thaw sperm parameters and fertility following artificial insemination;meanwhile, the other concentrations of soybean lecithin (1.5%, 6.0% and 10%) showed lower sperm parameters following cryopreservation. Conclusions: Using of Tris-soybean lecithin based extender at the level of 3.0% can be an appropriate alternative to either BullXcell or OptiXcell for Damascus goat sperm cryopreservation.

Objective:To evaluate the changes occur in the vagina, cervix and endometrium during the pre- ovulatory period in Arabian mares by using endoscope as a diagnostic tool as well as the availability of taking an endoscopic biopsy during this ***:Ten cyclic and healthy arabian mares were subjected to ultrasound scanning of their ovaries to estimate the diameter of the preovulatory follicles, collection of blood samples for estimating the hormonal levels (Estradiol-17β and progestrone) for confirming the estrous phase, endoscopic monitoring their vagina, cervix and endometrium, the availability of taking biopsical samples and histological examination of the obtained ***:The obtained data revealed that, the mean diameter of the preovulatory follicles was (3.95±0.34) cm, the plasma estradiol and progestrone levels were (85.98±5.26) pg/mL and (0.73±0.23) ng/mL, respectively, endoscopic monitoring the vagina, cervix and endometrium revealed hyperemic vaginal mucous membrane, soft and opened cervical ostium with abundant estrous mucous and folding, hyperemic and edematous appearance of the endometrium, respectively and the histological features of the biopsical endometrial samples revealed that, The lamina propria-sub mucosa was packed with simple or branched tubular glands lined with simple columnar epithelium showing oval or rounded dark nuclei with different degrees of secretory activities of the ***: The endoscope proved to be a reliable tool for confirming the estrous phase in mares and monitoring the gross features of the vagina, the cervix and the endometrium, in addition to the availability of taking biopsical smears.

Septic shock in children is associated with high mortality and morbidity. Its management is time-sensitive and must be aggressive and target oriented. The use of clinical assessment alone to differentiate between cold and warm shock and to select the appropriate inotropic and vasoactive medications is fraught with errors. Semiquantitative and quantitative assessment of the preload,contractility and afterload using non-invasive tools has been suggested,in conjunction with clinical and laboratory assessment,to direct shock management and select between vasopressors,vasodilators and inotropes or a combination of these drugs. This review aims to describe non-invasive tools to assess the hemodynamic status in septic shock including echocardiography,trans-thoracic/trans-esophageal Doppler and electrical cardiometry. As septic shock is a dynamic condition that changes markedly overtime,frequent or continuous measurement of the cardiac output(CO),systemic vascular resistance(SVR) and other hemodynamic parameters using the above-mentioned tools is essential to personalize the treatment and adapt it over time. The different combinations of blood pressure,CO and SVR serve as a pathophysiological framework to manage fl-uid therapy and titrate inotropic and vasoactive drugs. Near infrared spectroscopy is introduced as a noninvasive method to measure end organ perfusion and assess the response to treatment.

The Impact of Experience and Perception on the Efficiency of E-procurement in Malaysia

The technology of E-procurement becomes more popular in many developed countries due to its accuracy in decision making for big projects that enhance the public bidding process for development projects in any country. The experience of employees who operate the system of E-procurement and the perception of users who bid for projects are essential to ensure the efficiency of procurement and the whole bidding process for public projects. This paper examined the impact of employee"s experience on the efficiency of E-procurement systems in public agencies. In addition, we attempt to examine the perception factor of using E-procurement systems with regard to users in the seller side. A survey was conducted to identify the impact of experience and perception on the efficiency towards adoption and use of E-procurement system among users who working in firms participated in online bidding for public agencies projects, and employees who are working in E-procurement department in government administrations Malaysian government. A total of 80 questionnaires were collected and the data were analyzed to look at the level of the impact of experience and perception in E-procurement users. The general findings indicate a positive attitude experience and perception among the users in using the E-procurement.

Rice(Oryza sativa L.)is one of the most important cereal crops in the *** disease is a significant rice disease widely distributed in rice-growing regions ***,the present investigation aimed to assess the optimal concentrations of paclobutrazol(PBZ)as a treatment for rice grains(*** 108)to control bakanae disease,also evaluating its impact on grain germination,seedling growth parameters as well as disease *** concentrations had no significant impact on seed germination,regardless of whether the seeds were incubated with Fusarium fujikuroi or *** of PBZ,either alone or in combination with fungal pathogens,negatively impacted the rice seedlings’*** at 25,50 and 100 mg/L,combined with the fungal pathogen positively impacted root *** at 3 and 6 mg/L mitigated the adverse impact on chlorophyll pigments content in infected *** highest proline contents were achieved by 100 mg/L PBZ alone or in combination with fungal *** has been observed that the application of PBZ,either alone or in combination with a fungal pathogen,leads to the enhancement of catalase,peroxidase,and polyphenol oxidase *** median lethal concentration of PBZ was 0.874 mg/L;applying low concentrations of paclobutrazol effectively increased the percentage of fungal growth *** of PBZ,at higher concentrations(50 and 100 mg/L),decreased infection percentage and disease severity index(DSI)*** findings suggest that PBZ can be an effective treatment for controlling bakanae disease and enhancing resistance in rice plants.

[目的]孵化后期热处理能够在一定程度上提高肉鸡的耐热性,而骨骼肌和肝脏线粒体功能及温敏瞬时电位(transient receptor potential,TRP)离子通道与机体耐热性密切相关。因此,本试验旨在研究孵化后期热处理(thermal manipulation,TM)对雏鸡骨骼肌和肝脏温敏TRP离子通道及线粒体功能的影响。[方法]选取240枚AA肉鸡种蛋随机分为3组(每组8个重复,每重复10枚种蛋):CON组,37.5℃孵化;TM1组,在孵化期第16~18天39.5℃热处理3 h·d^(-1);TM2组,在孵化期第16~18天41.5℃热处理3 h·d^(-1)。出雏后测定1日龄直肠温度,检测胸肌、腿肌和肝脏组织相关基因表达水平。[结果]与CON组相比,孵化后期热处理显著降低了1日龄雏鸡的直肠温度(P<0.01),TM1组雏鸡腿肌器官指数显著增加(P<0.05)。与CON组相比,TM2组雏鸡胸肌的avUCP基因表达水平显著降低(P<0.01),COXⅣ(P<0.05)、Tfam(P<0.01)、PGC1α(P<0.05)、ATP5B(P<0.01)和IDH3α(P<0.01)基因表达水平均显著增加,TRPV1、TRPV2和TRPV3基因表达水平均显著降低(P<0.05),SERCA1基因表达水平显著增加(P<0.01)。与CON组相比,TM2组雏鸡腿肌的avUCP基因表达水平显著降低(P<0.01),ATP5B基因表达水平显著增加(P<0.05);TM2组雏鸡肝脏组织的Tfam和SERCA1基因表达水平显著增加(P<0.05)。相关性分析结果显示,温敏TRP基因表达水平与线粒体经典产热基因avUCP和avANT表达呈正相关关系,与线粒体氧化磷酸化功能相关基因表达水平呈负相关关系。[结论]孵化后期热处理可通过降低1日龄雏鸡胸肌的温敏TRP基因和线粒体产热相关基因表达水平水平,增加线粒体生物发生及氧化磷酸化功能相关基因表达水平,引起线粒体热适应性变化。

Impact of Left Bundle Branch Block on Left Ventricular Mechanics in Patients with Idiopathic Dilated Cardiomyopathy

Objectives: Left bundle branch block (LBBB) is commonly associated with heart failure. We evaluated the prevalence and impact of LBBB on left ventricular mechanics using 2D strain imaging in patients with idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy (IDCM). Methods: We included 101 patients with IDCM with mean age 38 ± 18 years: 74% were males and 13.9% of them were in NYHA Class III-IV. LBBB was present in 26 (37%) of included patients. Myocardial mechanics including longitudinal, circumferential strain and rotation and LV synchronization were assessed using two-dimensional strain imaging. Results: LBBB group had higher LV volumes, and PAP compared with non LBBB. Peak LV longitudinal systolic strain (εsys) of the septum and global LV SRsys were significantly lower in LBBB compared to non LBBB group (P 0.01, 0.03). TTP-d was greater in LBBB in comparison to non LBBB group (274.5 ± 116 versus 209.4 ± 139, P 0.02). The electromechanical delay between septal segments was 35 ± 18 ms and between lateral wall segments: 48 ± 24 ms, between anterior wall segments: 21 ± 11 and between inferior wall segments: 41 ± 12. Consequently, LV mechanical dyssynchrony was more evident in IDCM patients with LBBB. QRS width was correlated inversely with LV longitudinal strain and strain rate and electromechanical delay (P 0.0001) in non LBBB group. In LBBB QRS width was not related to cardiac mechanics. Using univariate analysis and after a multiple covariate adjustment, the baseline LBBB was associated with a significantly increased LV dysfunction. Conclusion:After correcting for potential confounders, LBBB was found to be associated with more deterioration of LV mechanics and exaggerated LV dyssynchrony in patients with IDCM.
