Forchheimer extended Da.cy *** obta.ned results a.e a.alyzed over wide ra.ges of the non-linea. Boussinesq pa.a.eter 0≤ζ≤1,the pha.e devia.ion 00≤Φ≤1800,the inclina.ion a.gle 00≤γ≤900,the na.opa.ticles volume fra.tion 0%≤φ≤4%,the a.plitude ra.io 0≤a.1 a.d the Ra.leigh number 104≤Ra.*** results revea.ed tha. the a.era.e Nusselt number is enha.ced by 0.73%,26.46%a.d 35.42%a. Gra.e seed extra.t(GSE)is considered one of the ma.or byproducts,which a.e rich in phenolic content a.d possess severa. hea.th-promoting a.tivities including a.tiba.teria.,a.tica.cer,a.d *** current resea.ch wa. devoted to improve the bioa.tive properties of stirred yoghurt through supplementa.ion with GSE a. three concentra.ions(0.1,0.25,a.d 0.5 g/100 g yoghurt).The obta.ned stirred yoghurts were a.alyzed for determining their composition,pH,syneresis,viscosity,a.d sensory ***,some functiona. properties including a.tioxida.t,a.tiba.teria.,a.tica.cer a.tivities were *** increments(p≤0.05)were observed in tota. solids,a.h contents,pH,wa.er holding ca.a.ity,a.d viscosity va.ues,especia.ly when 0.5%GSE wa. ***,a.ding 0.5%GSE showed higher(p≤0.05)in vitro a.tioxida.t,a.tiba.teria.,a.d a.tica.cer ***,the improved bioa.tive properties resulting from a.ding GSE,even a. the higher concentra.ion,were not a.compa.ied by a.y cha.ge in sensory *** pa.ticula.,the color descriptor wa. mostly preferred by pa.elists when 0.5%GSE wa. *** a.sessors did not observe a.y off-fla.ors in a.y of the tested stirred yoghurt ***,the functiona. properties of stirred yoghurt could be improved by a.ding GSE prepa.a.ion without a.fecting its orga.oleptic properties.

Concomita.t Chemora.ia.ion Using Gemcita.ine in Loca.ly a.va.ced Hepa.ocellula. Ca.cinoma

Purpose: Hepa.ocellula. ca.cinoma.(HCC) is one of the most common ca.cers worldwide. Most of pa.ients present with a.va.ced disea.e tha. ca.not be trea.ed with cura.ive or a.la.ive intent. The a.m of the study wa. to a.sess the thera.eutic benefit of concurrent chemora.iothera.y (CCRT) in pa.ients with a.va.ced HCC a.d to identify fa.tors tha. predict OS. Methods: Pa.ients with ra.iologica.ly or biopsy proven prima.y HCC from 2010 to 2013 were included in the study. Gemcita.ine wa. given in a.dose of 70 mg/m2 once weekly for three weeks during externa. bea. ra.iothera.y 30 Gy/2 Gy/fra.tion/five fra.tions per week in the Clinica. Oncology Depa.tment, a.siut, Egypt. Results: Forty-nine pa.ients were eligible but forty pa.ients were eva.ua.le for a.sessment. The pa.tia. response ra.e (PR) wa. 35% (14 pa.ients), 16 pa.ients (40%) ha. sta.le disea.e (SD) a.d the progressive disea.e wa. 25%. Pa.nful hepa.omegaly wa. significa.tly relieved in 70% of pa.ients. Tra.sa.ina.es rose a. gra.e 3 toxicity in 15% of pa.ients. Longer overa.l surviva. (OS) wa. significa.tly observed in pa.ients with performa.ce sta.us 0, child-Pugh a. Ba.celona.Clinic Liver ca.cer Sta.e B, PR a.d α fetoprotein level decrement. Conclusion: Concurrent chemora.iothera.t provides a. a.cepta.le response a.d pa.lia.ion of pa.n in a.va.ces HCC. Our findings showed tha. better surviva. for pa.ients with good performa.ce a.d liver functions.

a.M:To study a.d compa.e the predisposing fa.tors a.d clinica. fea.ures of pedia.ric,a.ult,a.d elderly rhegma.ogenous retina. deta.hment(RRD).METHODS:This is a. observa.iona. a.alytic crosssectiona. study in which pa.ients with RRD a.mitted for surgery during 6mo period were divided into 3 a.e groups:pedia.ric(a.ult(18-60y),a.d elderly(>60y).Pa.ients’demogra.hic da.a.clinica. fea.ures,RRD predisposing fa.tors/fea.ures including myopia.a.ia. length≥26.5 mm),a.ha.ia.pseudopha.ia.blunt tra.ma.periphera. retina. degenera.ions,history of RRD in the fellow eye,a.d surgica. interventions/findings were recorded a.d ***:Tota.ly 142 pa.ients(142 eyes)were studied:26(18.31%)pedia.rics,86(60.56%)a.ults,a.d 30(21.13%)*** pa.ients ha. a.significa.tly higher intra.cula. pressures a.d ca.a.a.ts compa.ed to the other 2 groups(P=0.04).The RRD extent wa. la.ger in pedia.ric group(mostly 4 qua.ra.ts)compa.ed to a.ults a.d elderly(mostly 2 qua.ra.ts),but it wa. not sta.istica.ly insignifica.t(P=0.242).There were not sta.istica.ly significa.tly differences in prolifera.ive vitreoretinopa.hy(PVR)ra.e,posterior vitreous deta.hment(PVD)ra.e,number,site,sha.e,a.d size of brea.s in three *** three groups ha. ma.ula. deta.hment in a.l *** a.d periphera. retina. degenera.ions were found to be more significa.t in a.ults(P=0.049,P=0.035,respectively),while blunt tra.ma.wa. higher but insignifica.t in pedia.ric eyes(P=0.052).Pa.s pla.a.vitrectomy(PPV)with silicone oil a. a.ta.pona.e wa. the most used surgery in a.l ***:There a.e no significa.t difference in PVR ra.e in pedia.ric eyes but a.significa.t higher ra.e of tota. *** tra.ma.is more frequent in pedia.rics eyes while myopia.a.d/or periphera. retina. degenera.ions a.e more frequent in older *** ra.e of PPV a. a.choice for surgery is simila. a.ong a.l a.e groups.

Hybrid a.>a.>chiller plants (HCPs)a.>a.> a.>a.>using multiple chillers and different energy sourcesa.>a.> a.>a.>are highly recommended in several energy applications in non-residential buildings such as hospitals and hotels. Time of use and cooling load profiles are significant factors that should be carefully considered either in chiller plant design or in chiller sequencing operation. This article aims to present an operation planning of HCP which consists of both electric and non-electric chillers. Four operational strategies are proposed and solved to compare their coefficients of performance and economics of running costs. A typical hotel building located on the Nile river in Egypt is selected to perform the current thermal and economic case study. The total cooling load profile of this hotel building is 4000 refrigeration tonnage (TR), which a.>a.>is a.>a.>a. style="font-fa.ily:Verda.a.">a. style="font-fa.ily:Verda.a.">a. style="font-fa.ily:Verda.a.">simula.ed to optimize chiller sequence of opera.ion a.d to select optima. design conditions of both numbers for electric a.d non-electric chillers used in HCP.
