Suitability of SDN and MEC to facilitate digital twin communication over LTE-A

Haptic is the modality that complements traditional multimedia,i.e.,audiovisual,to evolve the next wave of innovation at which the Internet data stream can be exchanged to enable remote skills and control *** will require ultra-low latency and ultra-high reliability to evolve the mobile experience into the era of Digital Twin and Tactile *** the 5th generation of mobile networks is not yet widely deployed,Long-Term Evolution(LTE-A)latency remains much higher than the 1 ms requirement for the Tactile Internet and therefore the Digital *** work investigates an interesting solution based on the incorporation of Software-defined networking(SDN)and Multi-access Mobile Edge Computing(MEC)technologies in an LTE-A network,to deliver future multimedia applications over the Tactile Internet while overcoming the QoS *** network scenarios were designed and simulated using Riverbed modeler and the performance was evaluated using several time-related Key Performance Indicators(KPIs)such as throughput,End-2-End(E2E)delay,and *** best scenario possible is clearly the one integrating MEC and SDN approaches,where the overall delay,jitter,and throughput for haptics-attained 2 ms,0.01 ms,and 1000 packets per *** results obtained give clear evidence that the integration of,both SDN and MEC,in LTE-A indicates performance improvement,and fulfills the standard requirements in terms of the above KPIs,for realizing a Digital Twin/Tactile Internet-based system.

Performance of Water and Mercury Triple Points Reference Cells under Adiabatic Conditions

Two new miniature metallic sealed-cells containing the triple point of water, WTP （273.16 K） and the triple point of mercury, HgTP （234.3156 K） have been constructed for the realization of the International Temperature Scale of 1990 （ITS-90） at the National Institute of Standards （NIS-Egypt）. The two new cells, in addition to a previously realized argon and oxygen triple point cells, will provide facilities for the calibration of capsule-type standard platinum resistance thermometers （CSPRTs） at one single run. Many phase transition plateaux were carried out and compared to the laboratory large reference cells using the same thermometers in order to test the performance of the new cell.

Health problems among street children seeking care in the Center for Social and Preventive Medicine in Egypt

Background:In Egypt,around 1 million children are on the *** children's health is an issue that is not well *** objective of the current study was to determine the health problems of a targeted group of street children seeking medical care and to generate a hypothesis about the positive/negative role of street children care ***:A cross-sectional study was done on 2169 street children who sought medical care at El-Basma clinic at the Center for Social and Preventive Medicine in Cairo University Children Hospital from January 2011 to July ***:Respiratory illnesses and skin problems were the most prevalent conditions,affecting 485 (22.4%) and 359 (16.6%) of the patients,*** issues and trauma were significantly higher among the adolescent *** and gastrointestinal problems were significantly higher among children aged less than 2 *** and cardiac problems were significantly higher among those referred from organizations whereas trauma was significantly higher among those coming directly from the streets.A significant proportion of children at the extremes of the studied age spectrum were coming directly from the *** transmitted infections were rare ***:Respiratory and skin diseases were the major morbidity problems among street children,especially adolescent *** afforded opportunities for access to different health care services.

Parameters Affecting Energy Consumption for Producing High Carbon Ferromanganese in a Closed Submerged Arc Furnace

The power consumption is considered to be the most important factor affecting the production cost of fer romanganese alloy. Different parameters affecting the energy consumption for industrial production of high carbon ferromanganese HCFeMn were investigated in a closed submerged arc furnace. The analysis of industrial data revealed that the most energy consumed factors were the direct reduction by solid carbon, Boudouard reaction, metal and slag formation, and decomposition of fluxing materials （limestone and dolomite）. To reduce the energy con- sumption and minimize the energy losses in the production process of HCFeMn, it was recommended to use Mn blend with minimum Mn to Fe ratio of 6 and lower SiO2 content or higher basicity. The added coke must be adjusted according to the material balance to prevent the over-coke and to minimize the highly endothermic ＂Boudouard reac tion＂. In addition, it was recommended to work at basic slags with the ratio of （CaO＋MgO） to Si（）2 equal to 1.0- 1.2 instead of much higher slag basicity. Furthermore, the mass losses had to be minimized through adjusting the handling and charging process and to take care of all metal produced.

Egyptian heavy vacuum gas oil hydrotreating over Co-Mo/CNT and Co-Mo/γ-Al2O3 catalysts

The catalytic activity of CoMoS /CNT towards the Egyptian heavy vacuum gas oil hydrotreating was studied. The delivered CNT was functionalized with 6 mol /L HNO_3. The CNT were loaded with 12% MoO_3( by weight) and 0.7 Co /Mo atomic ratio with impregnation methods. The γ-Al_2O_3 catalyst was also prepared by impregnation method to compare both catalysts *** analysis tools such XRD,Raman spectroscopy,TEM,and BET were used to characterize the catalysts. The autoclave reactor was used to operate the hydrotreating experiments. The hydrotreating reactions were tested at various operating conditions of temperature 325-375 ℃,pressure 2-6 MPa,time 2-6 h,and catalyst /oil ratio( by weight) of 1 ∶75,1 ∶33 and 1 ∶10. The results revealed that the CoMoS /CNT was highly efficient for the hydrotreating more than the CoMoS /γ-Al_2O_3. Also, the hydrodesulfurization( HDS) increased with increasing catalyst /oil ratio. Additionally,results showed that the optimum condition was temperature 350℃,pressure 4 MPa,catalyst /oil ratio of 1 ∶75 for 2 h. Furthermore,even at low CoMoS /CNT catalyst /oil ratio of 1 ∶75,an acceptable HDS of 77.1% was achieved.

BACKGROUND Childhood bronchial asthma(BA)is a chronic inflammatory respiratory *** conditions,including zinc deficiency,can affect such allergic *** To outline the difference in serum zinc levels between asthmatic children and healthy *** A cross-sectional study was carried out at Children’s Hospital,Cairo University,investigating serum zinc levels in children with BA(n=40)and healthy children(n=21).Other markers included serum ferritin,iron,hemoglobin(Hb),and immunoglobulin E(IgE)*** t-tests and Mann-Whinny tests were used for *** Kruskal-Wallis test was applied to compare serum ferritin and IgE levels with regard to asthma ***'s rank correlation was performed to explore the relationship between serum ferritin levels and both iron and Hb levels in asthmatic *** Children with BA had higher levels of zinc,yet the difference was not significant(P=0.115).Serum ferritin and IgE levels were significantly higher in asthmatic children(P=0.006 and 0.001,respectively),yet their levels did not differ significantly by severity(P=0.623 and 0.126,respectively).There was a nonsignificant weak correlation between serum ferritin levels and both serum iron and Hb *** Serum zinc levels do not seem to differ between asthmatic children and healthy *** ferritin levels may be a marker of asthma *** IgE levels are not markers of asthma severity.

Water is the most essential natural resource for the future *** production is extensively water-dependent and a significant polluter of water ***,this work investigated the effect of two different preparation media[Bold’s Basal Medium(BBM)and Domiati cheese whey(DCW)]for agricultural drainage water(ADW)*** treatments were incubated for 6 *** to the results of biomass productivity,specific growth rate,photosynthetic pigments,and biochemical composition,Desmodesmus *** grow in drainage water without *** two treatments significantly reduced the concentration of nitrate,phosphate,chemical oxygen demand,and sodium in ***,using cheese whey with BBM as inoculum preparation media enhanced the lipid accumulation in the algal biomass(25.4%w/w)and gave the best biodiesel properties among ***,combining remediation of drainage water with microalgae mass production can achieve the sustainability of agriculture.

Evaluation of Different Treatment Regimens for Relapsed and Refractory NHL: Single Institute Experience

Background and Aim: The treatment of choice for relapsed or refractory Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (NHL) mainly, is High dose chemotherapy with autologous stem cell transplantation. However, its use is mostly restricted to patients responding to salvage chemotherapy. In this study, our aim was to evaluate outcome and toxicity of different treatment modalities of relapsed and refractory NHL. Patient and Methods: This retrospective study included 217 patients were diagnosed as refractory or relapsed NHL. Those patients received different treatment modalities as GDP (Gemcitabine, dexamethasone, cisplatin), DHAP (Dexamethasone, Cytarabine, and Cisplatin), MINE (Mitoxantrone, ifosfamide, etoposide and mesna), CHOP (Cyclophosphamide, Doxorubicin, Vincristine and Prednisone), and CVP (Cyclophosphamide, vincristine and prednisone). Results: The median age of patients in the study was 50 years. Patients who received DHAP showed ORR of 62%, which was the highest response. The most common adverse effects were hematological which were more noticed in patients, received CHOP. Sixty one patients (54.5%) had anemia, 54 patients (48.2%) had neutropenia and 55 patients (49.1%) had thrombocytopenia, but the difference between the different lines of treatment wasn’t significant p value of 0.95. The median time to relapse is 10 months and the median survival time is 40 months. The 3-year PFS rates of all patients were 49.3%, while the 3 year OS rates were 54.8%. Conclusion: The overall and PFS didn’t show any difference between different lines of treatment.

Eutrophication of Aquatic Ecosystems： A Viewpoint on the Environmental Impact of Climate Change

Environmental concerns associated with nutrient-oriented eutrophication phenomenon have become a serious issue and a major cause of water quality deficiency nowadays. This necessitated eutrophication to occupy a front seat in research accompanied with climate change. Climate change has revealed to be a key player and a main contributor in the occurrence of such phenomenon. This paper discusses the ever-growing concern about eutrophication as a cause of climate change. Climate change affects storms intensity, changing the precipitation regime and increasing temperature. These effects increase the nutrient loading diffusion and cause excessive nutrients accompanied with storm water runoff, domestic wastewaters, and agricultural discharges to pour into water bodies. Eutrophication conversely contributes in the global wanning by releasing greenhouse gases from deoxygenated waters and sediments. Some control and mitigation measures are needed to fight climate change and achieve desired water quality goals. These measures include mitigation of climate change causes, enhancement of natural ecohydrological processes, application of proper integrated water resource management and participation of communities and governments.

New simple spectrophotometric method for determination of the binary mixtures(atorvastatin calcium and ezetimibe;candesartan cilexetil and hydrochlorothiazide) in tablets

A new simple spectrophotometric method was developed for the determination of binary mixtures without prior *** method is based on the generation of ratio spectra of compound X by using a standard spectrum of compound Y as a *** peak to trough amplitudes between two selected wavelengths in the ratio spectra are proportional to concentration of X without interference from *** method was demonstrated by determination of two drug *** first consists of the two antihyperlipidemics：atorvastatin calcium（ATV） and ezetimibe（EZE）,and the second comprises the antihypertensives：candesartan cilexetil（CAN） and hydrochlorothiazide（HCT）.For mixture 1,ATV was determined using 10 μg/mL EZE as the divisor to generate the ratio spectra,and the peak to trough amplitudes between 231 and 276 nm were plotted against ATV ***,by using 10 μg/mL ATV as divisor,the peak to trough amplitudes between 231 and 276 nm were found proportional to EZE *** curves were linear in the range 2.5-40 mg/mL for both *** mixture 2,divisor concentration was 7.5 μg/mL for both *** was determined using its peak to trough amplitudes at 251 and 277 nm,while HCT was estimated using the amplitudes between 251 and 276 *** measured amplitudes were linearly correlated to concentration in the ranges 2.5-50 and 1-30 μg/mL for CAN and HCT,*** proposed spectrophotometric method was validated and successfully applied for the assay of both drug combinations in several laboratory-prepared mixtures and commercial tablets.
