A New Method Which Combines Arithmetic Coding with RLE for Lossless Image Compression

This paper presents a new method of lossless image compression. An image is characterized by homogeneous parts. The bit planes, which are of high weight are characterized by sequences of 0 and 1 are successive encoded with RLE, whereas the other bit planes are encoded by the arithmetic coding (AC) (static or adaptive model). By combining an AC (adaptive or static) with the RLE, a high degree of adaptation and compression efficiency is achieved. The proposed method is compared to both static and adaptive model. Experimental results, based on a set of 12 gray-level images, demonstrate that the proposed scheme gives mean compression ratio that are higher those compared to the conventional arithmetic encoders.

长期以来,坦桑尼亚一是东非外交事务的前沿阵地,并在非洲东部地区地区发挥了领导性作用。自2004年以来,坦桑尼亚的外交政策逐渐由解放外交转向经济外交。坦桑尼亚对肯尼亚的外交政策对两国人民生活的各个方面都产生了影响,其中包括政治影响、社会影响和经济影响。坦桑尼亚的外交政策主要体现在它会向肯尼亚公司的投资、贸易和安全做出指示。坦桑尼亚的外交政策为巩固睦邻政策、促进非洲统一、加快工业化进程与经济发展指明了方向。在东非国家中,肯尼亚是坦桑尼亚的重要合作伙伴之一,因为与其他东非国家相比,肯尼亚对坦桑尼亚的贸易额和投资额要高出许多。坦桑尼亚政府制定了法律和法规来规范与肯尼亚的跨境贸易,并为肯尼亚政府和私人投资者在坦桑尼亚的投资创造了有利的环境。坦赞两国政府都致力于解决其经济问题,进一步促进两国经济的发展。坦桑尼亚对肯尼亚的外交政策将东非地区的的工业化和区域建设作为重中之重。坦桑尼亚的外交政策积极解决了肯尼亚不安全的困境,并与肯尼亚携手共同解决与肯尼亚部落、野生生物走私和矿物开采问题有关的犯罪。因此,坦桑尼亚对肯尼亚的外交政策不仅为该地区的经济发展做出了巨大贡献,也为维护东非地区国家之间的团结、和平与安全做出了巨大贡献。

In this letter,a humidity sensor is demonstrated by applying a whispering gallery mode(WGM)from a microsphere resonator onto the ZnO nanorods coated glass *** diameter of the microsphere was 234μm and the glass surface was coated with ZnO nanorods using the hydrothermal method at growth duration of 12 h.A significant response to humidity level ranging from 35%Rh to 85%Rh has been observed with the sensitivity of 0.0142 nm/%*** proposed humidity sensor has successfully employed to enhance interaction between the whispering gallery mode evanescent and surrounds analyte with the assistance of ZnO nanorods coated glass.

Lichens are abundant and highly diverse in tropical areas such as the Philippines due to its climate and geographical ***,several regions of the country remained underexplored or unexplored and many species remained undiscovered in the country’s many unique *** study determines the occurrence of foliose lichens in Casaroro Falls and Pulangbato Falls in Valencia,Negros Oriental,*** lichen morphologies were characterized using available taxonomic *** the 26 lichen samples collected from the two falls,23 specimens were identified based on their morphological and biochemical *** these,8 species were specific to Casaroro Falls and 13 species to Pulangbato Falls,with only 2 species of lichens found on both ***,17 species are new records for the Philippines.

Background: The distribution of childhood nutritional diseases is shifting from a predominance of under nutrition to a dual burden of under-and over nutrition in low and middle income countries. Rapid economic development and urbanization lead to an increase in overweight and obesity and diet-related chronic diseases. The co-existence of under-and over nutrition is double burden and this is a public health challenge for community. Objective: To find out the nutritional status of primary school children. Method: The study was school based descriptive study and conducted during November 2014 to February 2015 in basic primary schools, basic middle schools and basic high schools in urban and rural area of Yangon, Mandalay, Taungyi and Mawlamyaing. A total of (2937) Grade IV and Grade V students were measured for weight, height and 592 students were measured for haemoglobin by standard equipment and standard procedure. 目前,学界虽然将印度历史划分为三个时期,即古代时期、中世纪时期和近代时期,但就具体年代的认定形成不同的观点。从社会制度的变迁,政权统治的更替,以及文化发展的进程来看,古代印度的界定大致以公元前2500年至公元前1200年较为准确。在长达3700多年的古代时期,印度历史上曾出现过四次文化思潮。第一阶段即公元前25世纪至公元前15世纪,原住民首创古印度原始文化;第二阶段即公元前15世纪至公元前5世纪,外来入侵者雅利安人中学识通达和从事宗教活动的婆罗门创造了四吠陀文化;第三阶段即公元前5世纪至公元4世纪,雅利安人中英武勇健和从事政治活动的刹帝利创造了佛教文化;第四阶段即公元4世纪至12世纪,雅利安人共同创造了古印度文明的鼎盛时期,即印度教文化。上述四个阶段都是前者为后者的形成和发展奠定了基础,从而形成历史上辉煌的古印度文明长河。

hardware Performance Evaluation of ShA-3 Candidate Algorithms

Secure hashing Algorithms (ShA) showed a significant importance in today’s information security applications. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), held a competition of three rounds to replace ShA1 and ShA2 with the new ShA-3, to ensure long term robustness of hash functions. In this paper, we present a comprehensive hardware evaluation for the final round ShA-3 candidates. The main goal of providing the hardware evaluation is to: find the best algorithm among them that will satisfy the new hashing algorithm standards defined by the NIST. This is based on a comparison made between each of the finalists in terms of security level, throughput, clock frequancey, area, power consumption, and the cost. We expect that the achived results of the comparisons will contribute in choosing the next hashing algorithm (ShA-3) that will support the security requirements of applications in todays ubiquitous and pervasive information infrastructure.
