The maximum level of organophosphate pesticide residues in rice is 0.1 mg/kg and 0.5 mg/kg in vegetables. The control of pesticide residues in agricultural products required a method of analysis quickly and accurately. The research developed a biosensor for the detection of organophosphate pesticide residues in agricultural products. The research studied immobilized organophosphate hydrolase (OPH) mass and characterization of biosensor. The solution conductivity measurement in the conductivity cell consists of a 1 × 5 mm2 pair of electrodes screen printed carbon electrode (SPCE). The instrument is a converted local conductometer. From the results of study concluded that the optimum performance of the biosensor was obtained from the 105 μg OPH, at pH 8.5 with a response time of 45 seconds. In that condition the sensitivity of biosensor is 28.04 μS/ppm and 0.18 ppm detection limit and the maximum concentration of pesticide which can be measured is 1 ppm. Biosensors have been applied to measure pesticide residues in some vegetable samples.

Scanometry as microplate reader for high throughput method based on DPPH dry reagent for antioxidant assay

The stable chromogenic radical 1,1'-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl(DPPH) solution was immobilized on the microwell plate as dry reagent to construct a simple antioxidant sensor. Then, a regular flatbed scanner was used as microplate reader to obtain analytical parameters for antioxidant assay using one-shot optical sensors as scanometry technique. Variables affecting the acquisition of the images were optimized and the analytical parameters are obtained from an area of the sensing zone inside microwell using the average luminosity of the sensing zone captured as the mean of red, green, and blue(RGB)value using Image J~program. By using this RGB value as sensor response, it is possible to determine antioxidant capacity in the range 1–25 ppm as gallic acid equivalent(GAE) with the response time of 9 min. The reproducibility of sensor was good(RSD<1%) with recovery at 93%–96%. The antioxidant sensor was applied to the plant extracts, such as sappan wood and Turmeric Rhizome. The results are good when compared to the same procedure using a UV/Vis spectrophotometer.

Cockroaches can traverse unknown obstacle-terrain,self-right on the ground and climb above the ***,they have limited motion,such as less activity in light/bright areas and lower ***,the movement of the cyborg cockroaches needs to be optimized for the utilization of the cockroach as a cyborg *** study aims to increase the search rate and distance traveled by cockroaches and reduce the stop time by utilizing automatic stimulation from machine *** machine learning classifiers were applied to classify the offline binary classification of the cockroach movement based on the inertial measuring unit input *** time-domain features were chosen and applied as the classifier *** highest performance of the classifiers was implemented for the online motion recognition and automatic stimulation provided to the cerci to trigger the free walking motion of the cockroach.A user interface was developed to run multiple computational processes simultaneously in real time such as computer vision,data acquisition,feature extraction,automatic stimulation,and machine learning using a multithreading *** the basis of the experiment results,we successfully demonstrated that the movement performance of cockroaches was importantly improved by applying machine learning classification and automatic *** system increased the search rate and traveled distance by 68%and 70%,respectively,while the stop time was reduced by 78%.

Anti-diabetic potential of Urena lobata leaf extract through inhibition of dipeptidyl peptidase IV activity

Objective: To evaluate the anti-diabetic potential of leaf extract from Urena lobata(U. lobata) through dipeptidyl peptidase IV(DPP-IV) inhibitory ***: U. lobata leaf was extracted in hot water and ethanol. The activity of DPPIV inhibitor was tested by in vitro study using gly-pro-p-nitroanilide as substrat of DPPIV and vildagliptin, as standard reference. A product of the reactions between gly-pro-pnitroanilide and DPP-IV, was observed by microplate readers with λ = 405 nm. All data were expressed as mean ± SD and the IC50 value was determined by non linear regression curve fit. Active substances in leaf extract of U. lobata was analyzed by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry. DPP-IV inhibitory activity of active compounds was evaluated in silico using docking server. Results: The ethanolic extract of U. lobata showed stronger DPP-IV inhibitor activity than water extract with the IC50 values of 1 654.64 and 6 489.88 μg/mL, respectively. Vildagliptin, based on standard reference for DPP-IV inhibitor activity, has IC50 value of 57.44 μg/mL. Based on in silico analysis, mangiferin, stigmasterol and β-sitosterol in U. lobata extract have a strong inhibitory activity on DPP-IV. Conclusions: The results showed that DPP-IV inhibitory activity of U. lobata is related to its active compounds such as mangiferin, stigmasterol and β-sitosterol.

Introduction:Bacterial Vaginosis(BV)is the most common cause of vaginal ***,in some cases,side effects and resistance rates have been reported when anti-biotics are *** problem has prompted several investigations on the administration of probiotics as an adjunct therapy to treat this ***:This study aims to conduct a meta-analysis based on evidence to determine the efficacy and safety of probiotic and antibiotic ***:The meta-analysis was performed using PRISMA *** literature review was conducted in December 2020 using PubMed,Science Direct,Cochrane Library,and RevMan ***:The results showed a high and significant cure rate from the analysis of 1006 and 528 samples of probiotics and non-probiotics or control in 16 *** recurrence rate was statistically significant with probiotic ***,neither procedures nor therapy failure showed a significantly lower adverse event rate than the control ***:Probiotic shows better results compared to the control ***,both have the same occurrence of adverse event.

Laparoscopic myomectomy versus open myomectomy in uterine fibroid treatment: A meta-analysis

Objective:Uterine fibroids are the most commonly occurring benign solid tumors in women,and laparoscopic or open myomectomy constitutes the primary option for ***,both methods are under debate currently in terms of efficacy and *** this meta-analysis we assessed the efficacy and safety of the two ***:We conducted a comprehensive literature search of PubMed,ScienceDirect,and the Cochrane Library in December *** search terms included“open myomectomy”,“myomectomies”,“laparoscopic”,and“uterine fibroids”.We then selected the randomized control trials published from 1996 to 2019 and compared laparoscopic and open ***:We included 10 studies of 449 patients who underwent laparoscopic myomectomy and 449 patients who underwent open *** data revealed that laparoscopic myomectomy was associated with reduced blood loss(MD=-34.43;95%CI,-34.92 to-33.94;p<0.001),an attenuated decline in hemoglobin(MD=-1.04;95%CI,-1.14 to -0.93;p<0.001),less post-operative pain at 24 h(MD=-0.51;95%CI,-0.83 to -0.19;p=0.002),and fewer overall complications(OR=0.42;95%CI,0.24 to 0.71;p=0.001)relative to open myomectomy;but the former possessed a longer operative time(MD=12.96;95%CI,9.94 to 15.97;p<0.001).There were no significant differences in pregnancy rate(OR=1.39;95%CI,0.72 to 2.68;p=0.33)or recurrence rate of postoperative uterine fibroids(OR=1.15;95%CI,0.60 to 2.18;p=0.67)between the two ***:Laparoscopic myomectomy displayed superior results compared to open myomectomy,although the former involved a longer operating time.

Development of Optical Chemical Sensor Based on Pararosaniline in Sol-Gel Matrix for Detection of Formaldehyde in Food Samples

Optical chemical sensor based on immobilesed pararosaniline into sol-gel matrix tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) is a simple tool that can be used to detect the presence of formalin (formaldehide) in food. Pararosaline in sol-gel matrix was developed when contacted with food sample that contains formalin. The optical signal was produced by changing color from purple to yellow, that can be used to detect quantitative formaldehide in sample. The results, chemo sensor optic, have characteristic, maximum wave length 576.42 nm, with linier range 0-100 ppm, linearity coefficient R2 = 0.999, limit detection (LOD) 0.504 ppm, limit of quantification (LOQ) 1.680 ppm, sensitivity 0.087, disturbed matrix selectivity 1.716 %. The optimum is operational at pH 4, and response time at 150 seconds of 2 ppm. This sensor can be used to detect formalin in food sample in a simple mode and reusable for 4 times application. Oocyte maturation process is very complex. Until now synthesis and protein function as well as pathway mechanism in oocyte maturation process are not yet well understood. The mechanism of goat follicular fluid （GFF） in maturation in vitro medium needs to be deeply studied before it is implemented widely. The aim of the research was analyzing the GFF to know protein expression of ERK1, ERK 2, p90rsk, Cyclin-Bl and cdc25A by Western Blotting method. GFF collection by aspiration from small follicle （〈 4 mm） and big follicle （4-8 mm） by using needle with spuit size of 18 G. It was concluded that there was protein expression of ERK2 and p90rsk, at 42 kDa and 22 kDa respectively.

Background: M. tuberculosisis the most important etiological factor of tuberculosis. One of the factors that make TB hard to eradicate is the emergence of M. tuberculosisdrug resistance. Drug resistance in M. tuberculosisis attributed primarily to the accumulation of mutations in the drug target gene. Objectives: to analyze profile of Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) in M. tuberculosisisolates resistant to Isoniazid and found RAPD marker. Methods: seven Isoniazid resistant isolate of M. tuberculosisfrom Ma kassar, Indonesia strain were analyzed by RAPD method using primers OPN 02, OPN 09, OPN 20, BG 65, N 9, that amplification fragment DNA than as molecular marker. Results: The results of the present study showed high degree of polymerphism in *** in the population, and found that specific DNA fragment at Isoniazid resistant isolates using primer N 9 is 1450 bp as a marker. Conclusion: This study gives information about RAPD marker of M. tuberculosis strain to Isoniazid resistant.

BACKGROUND Brain arteriovenous malformations(bAVMs)remains one of the most prevalent causes of intracranial hemorrhage and stroke-like syndromes in the young adult *** it has been agreed upon that definitive treatment using either single or multi-modal approach is warranted for successful bAVM management,much debate still revolves regarding the optimal timing of definitive *** SUMMARY In this report,we present a case of delayed,definitive endovascular treatment for ruptured bAVM in a 21-year-old female,3 mo *** bAVM,with a left pericallosal feeding artery and cortical draining veins,was successfully obliterated through embolization using the Onyx *** follow-up the patient has recommenced her daily activities and experiences only mild occasional headaches with mild motor *** report leads to our review on an important issue regarding the optimal timing of ruptured bAVM definitive management and bring forward the current evidence available on delayed vs immediate definitive bAVM *** also highlight current issues that need to be addressed for clearer guidelines on definitive therapy *** Current treatment paradigms of ruptured bAVM remains elusive,with substantial heterogeneity in the current literature.A consensus on the definition of“acute”vs“delayed”,management goal,follow-up length and outcome parameters are required to support formation of a clear paradigm.
