Objective: To review current literature and experience with Gore-Tex? implant extrusion following medialization thyroplasty, as well as to report the unique case of Gore-Tex? implant extrusion following revision medialization ***: Review of existing literature and description of personal experience with unique case of Gore-Tex? implant extrusion following revision medialization ***: Review of existing literature found no prior reported cases of Gore-Tex? implant extrusion following revision medialization thyroplasty. Risk factors for implant extrusion include the pressure of the implant on insertion and the inability to secure the implant. Cases of implant extrusion can be managed operatively via an endoscopic or via an external open ***: This is the first reported case of Gore-Tex? implant extrusion following revision medialization thyroplasty. Careful consideration should be given in revision medialization thyroplasty as additional implant material may cause increased pressure, a risk factor for implant extrusion.

Objective: To determine the prevalence of H. pylori induced gastritis and its association with development of chronic inflammation and carcinoma with reference to updated Sydney classification, to ensure the proper diagnosis and timely treatment. Methods: This was a cross sectional study conducted at the Department of Pathology, Dow Diagnostic Reference and Research Laboratory for the year 2018. Analysis of about 726 gastric biopsy specimens was performed to identify the epidemiological status of the disease. On the other hand, 100 of the specimens were analysed according to Sydney classification to ensure the accurate diagnosis of the gastritis and related disorders. Out of 726 biopsy samples positive samples for carcinoma were investigated in detail histological features. Giemsa stain was used to visualize the h pylori bacteria and the sections of biopsies were subjected to haematoxylin and eosin staining for histological analysis. Results: Out of 727 cases, H. pylori was found in 492 (67.8%) patients. About 1.79% (13) cases were identified as adenocarcinoma, 0.27% (2) squamous cell carcinoma and 0.13% (1) as B cell non Hodgkin lymphoma. Results of Sydney classification. The degree of chronic inflammatory activity was 57% mild;38% moderate and 3% severe out of a total of 67% cases in an active phase of Hp gastritis. Hp-associated gastritis was the most common form of chronic gastritis, without intestinal metaplasia and with mild activity. The association of h pylori with mild inflammation and Neutrophilic infiltrates of the lamina propria, pits, or surface epithelium was statistically significant (p value Conclusion: The frequency of H. pylori infection is common in our population but the infection is mild to moderate and its Sydney classification reveals that early diagnosis may prevent the later complication.

Drought is the most common form of abiotic stress that reduces plant growth and *** causes plant injuries through elevated production of reactive oxygen species(ROS).Potassium(K)is a vital plant nutrient that notably ameliorates the detrimental effect of drought stress in the plant.A pot experiment was conducted at the Laboratory of Plant Stress Responses,Faculty of Agriculture,Kagawa University,Japan,under controlled environment of green house to explore the role of K in mitigating drought severity in wheat(Triticum asevitum L.)*** days after germination,seedlings were exposed to three water regimes viz.,100,50,and 20%field capacity(FC)for 21 *** was adjusted in Hoagland nutrient solution at 0,6 and 12 mM concentration and applied to pot instead of normal *** show that,water deficit stress notably reduced plant growth,biomass accumulation,leaf relative water content(RWC)along with reduced photosynthetic *** amount of biochemical stress markers viz.,malondialdehyde(MDA),hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2)),methylglyoxal(MG),proline(Pro)as well as an impaired antioxidant defense system were observed in drought affected wheat *** the contrary,K supplementation resulted in improvement of biochemical and physiological parameters that worked behind in improving growth and development of the wheat *** addition,enzymes of ascorbateglutathione(AsA-GSH)cycle were also enhanced by supplemented K that accelerated the ROS detoxification process in *** glyoxalse system did not performed well till MG was detoxified might following another short stepped *** results revealed that drought stressed plants showed better performances in terms of biochemical and physiological attributes,antioxidant defense and glyoxalase system,as well as ROS detoxification due to K supplementation with better performance at 12 mM K added in 50%FC growing condition.

The aim of this thesis is to shed a light on the development of two Western Balkan states,Slovenia and Croatia,inside the 16+1 *** that the main focus of this work is to show how relations between the two countries towards China have shaped through recent time,mostly focusing on the period shortly before and during the creation of the 16+1 *** course this work also aims to illustrate what 16+1 in itself is,how it was started and how it took shape and developed from its inception to *** work tries to describe the mayor events that had an impact on relations between China and the two Western Balkan countries,details the proactive and reactive Croatian and Slovenian governmental approaches to 16+1 and tries to give context to the events that have had an impact on 16+1 *** claim in this work that the Slovenian and Croatian approach to the 16+1 format is influenced by a multitude of factors and that it cannot be judged as either positive or negative,but that the two Western Balkan country’s approaches are fluid,evolve over time and depend on a myriad of underlying *** the case of Slovenia we have found that polity size,local political culture,recent bad experiences with energy investments,a cultural aversion to its own political elites and other factors are the reason why Slovenia’s reaction to 16+1 can at first glance appear as *** we also find that Slovenia is actively trying to pursue its interest through 16+1 where the country perceives that it can find success,for example through its developed private sector or specific areas of cooperation,such as forestry,Olympic games infrastructure and *** Croatian approach on the other side,we mainly argue was influenced by different governments’that were in power during the 16+1 format’s *** at first the Croatian government under the SDP political party was not interested in 16+1 and has shown reactive approaches to the initiative,afterwards,with a change

An assessment of radiologically enhanced residual materials generated during oil and gas production in near Baku, Azerbaijan, was conducted. Distribution of the 228Ra/226Ra Activity Ratio (AR) with depth in a sediment core from radium lake was examined. The dashed line represented ingrowth assuming that 228Ra was below equilibrium with 232Th in the young sediments near the top and reached equilibrium at a depth around 10 cm. In this study the radium isotopic data are used to provide estimates of the age of formation of the radiobarite contaminant and age of oil field lake. The results indicate that, the upper two layers in the core (up to 4 cm) contain fallout 137Cs so at least these layers are no older than about 40 yrs. Formation waters that are sent to disposal ponds may consist of accumulated heavy hydrocarbons, paraffin, inorganic solids, and heavy emulsions. We report here results of chemical and radiochemical measurements from formation waters separated from oil pumped from approximately 700 m below ground near Baku, Azerbaijan. Our results also include data from a formation water storage pond (“radium lake”) where the waters are temporarily stored after oil is separated and then eventually disposed of by pumping into the Caspian Sea. We also analyzed the associated sediment for radiochemical components. Our study was intended to investigate how radium fractionated between the pond water and sediments.

Organic Amendments Improve Plant Morpho-Physiology and Antioxidant Metabolism in Mitigating Drought Stress in Bread Wheat(Triticum aestivum L.)

Due to the unpredictable climate change,drought stress is being considered as one of the major threats to crop ***(Triticum aestivum *** Gom-26)being a dry season crop frequently faces scarcity of water and results in a lower ***,this experiment aims to explore the role of different organic amendments(OAs)in mitigating drought stress-induced *** pot experiment consisted of different organic amendments ***,vermicompost and poultry manure@0.09 kg m^(−2)soil,biochar@2.5%w/w soil and chitosan@1%w/w soil which was imposed on the plants grown under both well-watered and drought *** showed that drought stress reduced plant height(15%),SPAD value(16%),relative water content(13%),number of spikelet spike^(−1)(17%),number of grains spike^(−1)(12%),and 100-grain weight(18%).Organic amendments act as a protectant and reduce drought stress-induced damages by enhancing the morpho-physiological and yield *** enhanced SPAD value by 18%,number of spikelets spike^(−1)by 20%,number of grains spike^(−1)by 17%,whereas poultry manure increased plant height by 16%under drought condition compared to control *** other OAs applied,vermicompost was proved to be capable of reducing the higher lipid peroxidation and proline content raised by drought *** stress-induced increment of catalase,ascorbate peroxidase and glutathione reductase activities were also efficiently modulated by the organic amendment *** present study concluded that OAs play significant roles in alleviating drought stressinduced damages by improving the morpho-physiological attributes and among the different types of OAs used vermicompost performed better which in addition ceased the production of reactive oxygen species.

The usage of alternative fuel as a substitute of oil fuel for transportation sector in developed countries has been commonly implemented in order to decrease crude oil consumption, where in a few years back, the crude oil price is constantly increasing. In addition, global warming issue becomes one of reasons that motivate many countries to switch for a cleaner energy usage. As a country that has a relatively big reserve of natural gas, its appropriate natural gas could minimize subsidized oil fuel and also financing country＇s burden if Indonesia is optimizing the usage of energy resources. This paper will discuss about the background of gas fuel usage for road transportation sector in Indonesia, review of alternative fuel usage, the gas fuel usage status in Indonesia and gas usage recommendation for land transportation sector in Indonesia based on other countries experiences.

In the approaching three years since Christmas, 2003, more than 220,000 people lost their lives as a result of the Bam-Iran earthquake, the Sumatra tsunami and the Muzaffarabad-Pakistan earthquake. The earthquake in Pakistan on the morning of October 8, 2005, which hit Azad Kashmir and the adjoining Hazara Division of North West Frontier Province, resulted in nearly 85,000 fatalities and left more than 3.5 million people homeless. The entire infrastructure of the region was destroyed.
