Ti-Al based intermetallic alloys are promising for various applications in aerospace and automobile industry. Their favorable properties, such as low density and good corrosion resistance, are accompanied on the other hand by low toughness and very difficult metallurgy. One of the possibilities to improve the toughness of Ti-46Al-5Nb-1W (%, at. fraction) alloy consists in change of their microstructure into lamellar microstructure, which can be reached moreover by directional crystallization. This experiment is described in this paper. Samples of the Ti-46Al-5Nb-1W (%, at. fraction) alloy prepared by plasma and vacuum-induction metallurgy were subjected to directional crystallization. Cooling rates were constant and ranged from 5.56 × 10-6 m/s to 1.18 × 10 -4 m/s. Directional crystallization has been accomplished in ceramic tubes made of corundum-Al2O3. The samples were studied by metallographic and chemical *** microstructure of the samples was found to consist of α2- and γ-phase lamellas. moreover, ceramic particles Al2O3 were found to be present in the samples. Distribution of the alloying elements in the samples was homogenous.

The utility of the differences between cluster headache (CH) and paroxysmal he micrania (PH) is limited by the considerable overlap of their clinical character istics. We compared 54 patients with CH and eight patients with PH in terms of d emographic features, characteristics of headache attacks, associated autonomic f eatures, temporal forms of disorders, and response to verapamil. According to ou r results, clinical features that distinguished CH and PH patients were: maximal pain localization, ocular in CH patients and extra-ocular in PH group;mean att ack duration was longer and mean attack frequency was lower in CH patients in co mparison with PH patients. Conjuctival injection was the only autonomic sign see n more frequently in CH patients. There were more CH patients with episodic and more PH patients with unremitting form of the disorder in examined groups. Altho ugh statistical analysis pointed out a significant difference between these clin ical features, there was no clinical characteristic that exclusively belonged to one of these headache entities. Demographic characteristics (age,gender, social background), the other headache attack features(nocturnal attacks, interattack tenderness), the other autonomic signs, as well as the response to verapamil did not differ significantly between two groups.

Kinetics of the Chlorination of Copper （I） Sulphide by Calcium Chloride in the Presence of Oxygen

The chemism of the chlorination of copper （I） sulphide by calcium chloride in the presence of oxygen has been determined based on the thermodynamic analysis in the Cu2S-CaCl2-O2 system as well as characterization of used raw materials and obtained products. The influence of temperature （from 473 to 773 K）, time （from 2 to 120 min）, oxygen flow （from 20 to 100 L/h） and calcium chloride quantity （from 5 to 40%） on the chlorination degree has been investigated. Kinetic analysis and the activation energy values of 20.89 kJ/mol showed that the chlorination of copper （I） sulphide by calcium chloride in the presence of oxygen is diffusion controlled.

Porous Si3N4-SiO2-based ceramics with different porosity were prepared via free sintering of Si3N4 on air with an addition of semolina (5, 10 and 20 wt%) as a pore-forming agent. The semolina content in the starting powder controlled the volume fraction of pores in the sintered body. Small pores (5 μm) formed a continuous network in the whole volume of the ceramic material, while the large pores (~100 μm), formed from the added semolina were mostly isolated in the ceramic matrix. mercury porosimetry and strength measurements have shown that specific surface area, volume density and compressive strength decreased with the amount of semolina in the samples. mechanical properties similar to bone were obtained for the sample with 20 wt% semolina pore forming agent (compressive strength 350 mPa, density 2.17 ***-3). The prepared Si3N4-SiO2-based ceramics were evaluated for cytotoxic and genotoxic potential on human fibroblast VH10 and B-HNF-1 cells. Biological tests have shown that both these human fibroblast cell lines were sensitive to the samples with lower porosity and cell growth inhibition was observed in the range 14.9% - 21.3%. The cytotoxicity of the sample with the highest porosity (~40%) was not significant (10%). The microscopic observations have shown that VH10 and B-HNF-1 cells growing around the silicon nitride ceramic discs were homogeneously distributed on the cultivation surface. No significant morphologic changes were found in treated cells, their morphology was very similar to that of the control cells. None of the tested Si3N4-based ceramic samples induced necrotic/apoptotic death of human fibroblasts. Sample S-20 had similar properties to bones and was characterized by very good biocompatibility, slight cytotoxicity and none genotoxicity. Therefore, Si3N4-SiO2-based ceramics prepared by free sintering on air are potential biomaterials for medical applications.

The European Clinical Laboratory and molecular(ECLm) criteria define 10 distinct Willebrand diseases(VWD) recessive type 3, severe 1, 2C and 2N; dominant VWD type 1 secretion/clearance defect, 2A, 2B, 2E, 2m and 2D; and mild type 1 VWD(usually carriers of recessive VWD). Recessive severe 1 and 2C VWD are characterized by secretion and multimerization defects caused by mutations in the D1-D2 domain. Recessive 2N VWD is a mild hemophilia due to D'-FVIII-von Willebrand factor(VWF) binding site mutations. Dominant 2E VWD caused by heterozygous missense mutations in the D3 domain is featured by a secretion-clearancemultimerization VWF defect. Dominant VWD type 2m due to loss of function mutations in the A1 domain is characterized by decreased ristocetin-induced platelet aggregation and VWF RCo, normal VWF multimers and VWF CB, a poor response of VWF RCo and good response of VWF CB to desmopressin(DDAVP). Dominant VWD type 2A induced by heterozygous mutations in the A2 domain results in hypersensitivity of VWF for proteolysis by ADAmTS13 into VWF degradationproducts, resulting in loss of large VWF multimers with triplet structure of each individual VWF band. Dominant VWD type 2B due to a gain of function mutation in the A1 domain is featured by spontaneous interaction between platelet glycoprotein Ib(GPIb) and mutated VWF A1 followed by increased proteolysis with loss of large VWF multimers and presence of each VWF band. A new category of dominant VWD type 1 secretion or clearance defect due to mutations in the D3 domain or D4-C1-C5 domains consists of two groups Those with normal or smeary pattern of VWF multimers.

空气污染对人类的健康产生了严重的危害。在欧洲,NO2和颗粒物(Pm)排放量普遍都超出空气质量标准,尤其是在交通密集的城市地区。2017年,欧盟地区道路交通运输排放的氮氧化物(NOx)和Pm在空气污染物中的占比分别达到了39%和11%。通过便携式排放测量系统(PEmS)获得的数据显示,大多数满足欧五和欧六b排放法规的柴油车在道路上的NOx排放量都超过了它们在试验室认证试验的允许限值。鉴于此,欧盟发布了欧盟实际行驶排放(EU-RDE)法规,宗旨在于确保轻型车在道路上正常行驶时产生更少的排放。对自2017年9月实施实际行驶排放(RDE)法规后,且已通过了型式认证的若干台欧六d-TEmP汽油机乘用车和柴油机乘用车的排放性能进行评估,分析了实施RDE法规的结果。欧盟内部的联合研究中心(JRC)用AVL-mOVE型PEmS对这些车辆进行了RDE达标试验和非RDE达标试验。分析了综合路段、城区路段、乡村路段和高速路段等全部试验路段的气态排放物(NO、NO2、NOx、CO、CO2)和颗粒数(PN)排放情况,重点试验了冷起动排放。阐述了排放量与车辆行驶动力学之间的相互关系。试验结果表明,为了在RDE法规的宽广行驶条件下满足排放限值的要求,车辆制造商们必须采用更高效的排气后处理系统,即必须采用选择性催化还原(SCR)系统和颗粒过滤器来控制NOx和Pm的排放。可以预料,随着欧洲车队逐渐更换实施RDE法规,将有助于减少城市空气污染和空气质量超标的几率。
