negatively thermo-responsive 2D membranes,which mimic the stomatal opening/closing of plants,have drawn substantial interest for tunable molecular separation ***,these membranes are still restricted significantly on account of low water permeability and poor dynamic tunability of 2D nanoch.nnels under temperature ***,we present a biomimetic negatively thermo-responsive MXene membrane by covalently grafting poly(n-isopropylacrylamide)(PnIPAm)onto MXene *** uniformly grafted PnIPAm polymer chains can enlarge the interlayer spacings for increasing water permeability while also allowing more tunability of 2D nanoch.nnels for enhancing the capability of gradually separating multiple molecules of different *** expected,the constructed membrane exhibits ultrahigh water permeance of 95.6 L m^(-2) h^(-1) bar^(-1) at 25℃,which is eight-fold higher than the state-of-the-art negatively thermoresponsive 2D ***,the highly temperature-tunable 2D nanoch.nnels enable the constructed membrane to perform excellent graded molecular sieving for dye-and antibiotic-based ternary *** strategy provides new perspectives in engineering smart 2D membrane and expands the scope of temperature-responsive membranes,showing promising applications in micro/nanofluidics and molecular separation.

Geochemistry and mineral chemistry of the armoor granitoids,eastern dharwar craton: implications for the redox conditions and tectono-magmatic environment

The mineralogical and geochemical characteristics of the K-rich granites from the Armoor granitic rocks in the northeastern portion of the Eastern Dharwar Craton(EDC) are *** order to understand its physicochemical conditions,the petrogenesis of the granitoid was explained from biotite chemistry and geochemical *** of mineral chemistry expose that compositionally,K-feldspar and plagioclase in Armoor granite rocks range from An0,Ab_(3-5.9),Or_(94-96.9) and An_(5-29,-Ab71.9-94.9),Or_(0-1.5),*** mineral chemistry of biotite crystals exhibits composition that varies from primary to re-equilibrated primary *** biotites from the Armoor granites generally exhibit an I-type trend,with calc-alkaline parental magma in a subduction *** chemistry of granites displays magnetite(oxidized)series nature,which has oxygen fugacity(fO_(2))=-15.1 to-16.7(log_(10) bar),under high oxidizing *** and pressure estimates for the crystallization of Armoor granites based on biotite composition are T=612-716 ℃ and 1.0-0.4 kbar,***,these rocks are metaluminous to slightly peraluminous and magnesian,with calc-alkaline potassiumrich *** the ch.ndrite normalized REE diagram,the granites have positive europium anomalies;rich Sr/Y,(Dy/Yb)_(n) ratios and reduced Mg#,Rb/Sr,Rb,Sr indicate that the melting of earlier rocks,crystal accumulation and residual garnet source formed at high *** examined granites show that they are produced from the melting of crustal ***,the extensive analyses of the described Armoor granite suggest that they were produced by crust sources and developed under oxidizing conditions in subduction setting.

Phosphine/Benzocyclone-based neutral nickel Catalysts for Ethylene Polymerization and Copolymerization with Polar Monomers

The efficient copolymerization of olefin with polar monomers using nickel-based catalysts presents a longstanding challenge. In this contribution, three phosphine-benzocyclone ligands and corresponding neutral nickel catalysts(ni1: Ar = Ph;ni2: Ar = 2-(C_(6)H_(5))C_(6)H_(4);ni3: Ar = 2-[2',6'-(Me O)_(2)-C_(6)H3]C_(6)H_(4)) were prepared and applied for the ethylene polymerization and copolymerization with polar monomers without any cocatalyst. The bulky substituent groups in complexes ni2 and ni3 contributed to high catalytic activities(up to 7.24×10^(6) and 9.04×10^(6)g·mol ni^(-1)·h^(-1), respectively), and produced high-molecular-weight polyethylene(Mw up to 545.7 k Da). Complex ni3 exhibited high activities for ethylene polymerization at the level of 10^(6) g·mol ni^(-1)·h^(-1) across a wide range from 30 ℃ to 120 ℃, exhibiting excellent high temperature tolerance. These nickel complexes were also effectively employed in the copolymerization of ethylene with methyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, butyl acrylate and lauryl acrylate, producing copolymers with high molecular weights(Mw up to 80.5 k Da) and high polar monomer incorporation(up to 8.2 mol%). Microstructure analyses revealed that the introduction of large sterically hindered substituents facilitated the incorporation of polar functional units into the polymer backbone. This study demonstrates the potential of these nickel-based catalysts for efficient copolymerization of olefin with polar monomers.

Coinfusion of unrelated cord blood(UCB)units in haploidentical hematopoietic cell transplantation(haplo-HCT)(haplo-cord HCT)for hematopoietic malignancies showed promising results in previous reports,but the efficiency of haplo-cord HCT in acute myeloid leukemia(AML)still lacks sufficient *** multicenter,randomized,phase 3 trial(*** nCT03719534)aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of haplo-cord HCT in AML patients.A total of 268 eligible patients aged 18-60 years,diagnosed with measurable residual disease in AML(excluding acute promyelocytic leukemia),with available haploidentical donors and suitable for allotransplantation,were randomly allocated(1:1)to receive haplo-cord HCT(n=134)or haplo-HCT(n=134).The 3-year overall survival(OS)was the primary endpoint in this *** median follow-up was 36.50 months(IQR 24.75-46.50).The 3-year OS of Haplo-cord HCT group was better than haplo-HCT group(80.5%,95%confidence interval[CI]:73.7-87.9 vs.67.8%95%CI 60.0-76.5,p=0.013).Favorable progression-free survival(70.3%,95%CI 62.6-78.8 vs.57.6%,95%CI 49.6-67.0,p=0.012)and cumulative incidence of relapse(12.1%,95%CI 12.0-12.2 vs.30.3%,95%CI 30.1-30.4,p=0.024)were observed in haplo-cord HCT *** 3-4 adverse events(AEs)within two years posttransplantation in the two groups were ***-cord HCT patients exhibited a faster cumulative incidence of neutrophil recovery(p=0.026)and increased T-cell reconstitution in the early period ***-cord HCT can improve OS in AML patients without excessive AEs,which may exert additional benefits for recipients of haplo-HCT.

Compression properties of cost-efficient porous expanded clay reinforced AA7075 syntactic foams fabricated by industrial-oriented die casting technology

In today’s manufacturing industries,hard competition between rival firms makes it compulsory for researchers to design lighter and cheaper mach.ne components due to the megatrends of cost-effectiveness and *** this point,aluminum syntactic foams(ASFs)are new-generation engineering composites and come into the upfront as a *** to their features like low density,sufficient elongation,and perfect energy absorption ability,these advanced foams have been considerably seductive for many industrial sectors *** this study,an industrial-oriented automatic die casting technology was used for the first time to manufacture the combination of AA7075/porous expanded clay(PEC).Micro evaluations(optical and FESEM)reveal that there is a homogenous particle distribution in the foam samples,and inspections are compatible with the other ASF ***,T6 aging heat treatment was operated on one half of the produced foams to explore the probable impact of aging on the compressive *** results show that PEC particles can be an alternative to expensive hollow spheres used in the previous ***,a favorable relationship is ascertained between the aging treatment and mech.nical properties such as compression strength and plateau strength.

Due to a complex geological and biotic history,the Isthmus of Tehuantepec(IT),has been long recognized as a driver for the evolutionary divergence of numerous lowland and highland *** distributed in the lowlands of the American continent,the White-Tipped Dove(Leptotila verreauxi)is a polytypic species with 13 recognized *** of these have been recorded in Mexico,and the distribution of three abuts at the IT,suggesting a contact *** estimate phylogenetic patterns,divergence times and genetic differentiation,we examined two mt DnA(nD2 and COI)and one n DnA(β-fibint 7)*** also used correlative ecological niche models(EnM)to assess whether ecological differences across the IT may have acted as a biogeographical *** estimated paleodistributions during the Middle Holocene,Last Glacial Maximum and Last Interglacial,to evaluate the influence of climate ch.nges on the distribution and demographic *** results showed genetically distinct lineages that diverged approximately 2.5 million years *** and ecological factors may have played a dual role in promoting differentiation,but also in the formation of a secondary contact zone in the southern *** ecological niche comparisons indicated that the ecological niche of sympatric lineages at the IT are not identical,suggesting niches divergence;in addition,environmental niche models across the region indicated no abrupt biogeographic barriers,but the presence of regions with low *** results suggest that genetic differentiation originated by a vicariant event probably related to environmental factors,favored the evolution of different ecological ***,the absence of a biogeographic barrier but the presence of less suitable areas in the contact regions,suggest that secondary contact zones may be also maintained by climatic factors for the eastern group,but also by biotic interactions for the western group.

Towards defining soil quality of Mediterranean calcareous agricultural soils:Reference values and potential core indicator set

To avoid soil degradation,adapt to climate ch.nge and comply with the Sustainable Development goals 2030(Un General Assembly),establishing the quality/fertility of the agricultural soils of the Mediterranean region and evaluate how these evolve with time is *** enables adequate management practices to be *** Mediterranean calcareous region has received little attention in this sense,in spite its soil ***,24 different representative calcareous agricultural soils of the Mediterranean region,including the main management strategies of agricultural soils(rainfed and irrigated),were sampled from the island of Mallorca;and their physical,chemical and biological properties *** values obtained for most of the soil characteristics allowed to establish an initial approach to the reference values for the type of calcareous agricultural soils considered,and to clearly distinguish the effect of rainfed or irrigation management practices on soils properties and *** enzyme activities were not stimulated by the irrigation conditions assayed or they were only in dry conditions,suggesting optimum enzyme activities could be obtained when alternating dry and humid soil *** organic carbon,calcium carbonate and active lime revealed of significant importance in the collection of ***,the results obtained clearly indicate the heterogeneity of the region and its implications on the different soil ***,this study could serve as a starting point to adequately establish the quality(fertility)for Mediterranean calcareous agricultural soils and their reference values by conducting further research in this region and including more type of soils.

Weather influenced nestling growth of an insectivorous but not a granivorous grassland passerine in Argentina

nestling growth of birds can be affected by weather *** general,it is expected that higher temper-atures favor growth by improving food availability and nestling metabolism,while rain hinders it by reducing foraging ***,most of these patterns have been described in insectivorous cavity-nesting birds in temperate *** tested these predictions in two neotropical grassland ground-nesting birds with contrasting nestling diets and therefore potentially different responses to *** measured nestlings of the Hellmayr’s Pipit(Anthus hellmayri,an insectivorous passerine)and the Grassland Yellow-Finch(Sicalis luteola,which feeds its nestlings exclusively with seeds)during three breeding seasons(2017-2020)in central-eastern *** took measurements of tarsus and body mass,modeled growth curves using nonlinear mixed-effects models,and evaluated the effects of minimum daily temperature and precipitation during the growth period and the 30 days prior to *** pipits(60 nestlings from 21 nests),minimum temperatures during the growth period were positively associated with tarsus and body mass ***,there was a positive association between precipitation during the pre-hatch.ng period and tarsus ***,none of the weather variables analyzed had significant effects on nestling growth of finches(131 nestlings from 35 nests).Dietary contrast between species may explain the different *** activity and abundance can be affected by weather variations within the span of a breeding season,whereas seeds may depend on conditions from previous years,making the effects harder to *** with reduced asymptotic size can have reduced ch.nces of ***,pipit populations could be impacted if they experience cold and dry conditions during their breeding season,which is of major relevance in the current context of climate ch.nge.
