Plants constitute a major element of constructed wetlands(CWs).In this study,a coupled system comprising an integrated vertical flow CW(IVCW) and a microbial fuel cell(MFC) for swine wastewater tre atment was developed to research the effects of macrophytes commonly employed in CWs,Canna indica,Acorus calamus,and Ipomoea aquatica,on decontamination and electricity production in the *** of the different root types and amounts of oxygen released by the roots,the rates of chemical oxygen demand(COD) and ammonium nitrogen(NH4^+-N) removal from the swine wastewater differed as *** the unplanted,Canna indica,Acorus calamus,and Ipomoea aquatica systems,the COD removal rates were 80.20%,88.07%,84.70%,and 82.20%,respectively,and the NH4+-N removal rates were 49.96%,75.02%,70.25%,and 68.47%,*** decontamination capability of the Canna indica system was better than those of the other *** average output voltages were 520±42,715±20,660±27,and 752±26 mV for the unplanted,Canna indica,Acorus calamus,and Ipomoea aquatica systems,respectively,and the maximum power densities were 0.2230,0.4136,0.3614,and0.4964 W/m^3,*** aquatica had the largest effect on bioelectricity generation *** addition,electrochemically active bacteria,Geobacter and Desulfuromonas,were detected in the anodic biofilm by high-throughput sequencing analysis,and Comamonas(Proteobacteria),which is widely found in MFCs,was also detected in the anodic *** results confirmed the important role of plants in IVCW-MFCs.

An efficient water-based bismuth-mediated addition reaction of carbonyl compound with cyclic allylic halide was *** reactions proceeded smoothly in aqueous DMF in the presence of ammonium iodide to afford the corresponding syn-homoallylic alcohols in moderate to good yields with excellent diastereoselectivities(>99:1 syn:anti).Reversal of product diastereoselectivity was observed when heteroaryl aldehyde possessing an adjacent chelating nitrogen atom was employed as substrate.

In order to improve the toughness of the cured aromatic tetrafunctional epoxy resins, a dlmer rarboxylic acid named dlmer fatty acid （DFA） was used to modify an aromatic tetrafunctional epoxy, N, N, N＇, N＇-tetraglycidyl-2,2-bis [ 4-（ 4-aminophcuoxy ） phenyl ] propane （TGBAPP）. The curing behaviors of DFA- TGBAPP/MNA （ methyl nadic anhydride） systems were studied by differential scanning calorimetry （DSC） method. And the thermal properties of the cured epoxy resin were investigated with the thermo-gravimetric analysis （TGA） and dynamic mechanical analysis （DMA）. Besides, the toughness was characterized with the impact strength tested by charpy impact testing. The results indicated that the modification would improve the curing reactions, and the curing temperatures were decreased with the increasing content of DFA. The thermal properties were not influenced obviously, and the toughness could be improved when the epoxy resin was modified with DFA.

AIM To investigate the antitumor effects and underlying mechanisms of(17 R,18 R)-2-(1-hexyloxyethyl)-2-devinyl chlorine E6 trisodium salt(YLG-1)-induced photodynamic therapy(PDT) on pancreatic cancer in vitro and in *** YLG-1 is a novel photosensitizer extracted from spirulina. Its phototoxicity, cellular uptake and localization, as well as its effect on reactive oxygen species(ROS) production, apoptosis, and expression of apoptosis-associated proteins were detected in vitro. An in vivo imaging system(IVIS), the Lumina K imaging system, and mouse models of subcutaneous Panc-1-bearing tumors were exploited to evaluate the drug delivery pathway and pancreatic cancer growth in *** YLG-1 was localized to the mitochondria, and the appropriate incubation time was 6 h. Under 650 nm light irradiation, YLG-1-PDT exerted a potent cytotoxic effect on pancreatic cancer cells in vitro, which could be abolished by the ROS scavenger N-acetyl-L-cysteine(NAC). The death mode caused by YLG-1-PDT was apoptosis, accompanied by upregulated Bax and cleaved Caspase-3 and decreased Bcl-2 expression. The results from the IVIS images suggested that the optimal administration route was intratumoral(IT) injection and that the best time to conduct YLG-1-PDT was 2 h post-IT injection. Consistent with the results in vitro, YLG-1-PDT showed great growth inhibition effects on pancreatic cancer cells in a mouse *** YLG-1 is a potential photosensitizer for pancreatic cancer PDT via IT injection, the mechanisms of which are associated with inducing ROS and promoting apoptosis.

Objective:To evaluate the protective effects of salvianolate on percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)related myocardial injury or myocardial infarction after elective PCI in non-ST-segment elevation acute coronary syndrome(NSTE-ACS)***:A total of 149 patients with NSTE-ACS who underwent elective PCI were *** patients were randomly allocated in a 1:1 ratio to the salvianolate group(74 cases)or the control group(75 cases).After exclusion criteria of coronary angiography,60 patients with PCI therapy remained in the salvianolate group and 68 in the control *** incidence and the severity of PCI related myocardial injury or myocardial infarction,in addition to major adverse cardiac events(MACEs)during 1 year follow-up after PCI were studied between the two *** logistic regression analysis was used to determine the independent factors for PCI related myocardial injury or myocardial infarction after elective ***:Compared with the control group,salvianolate treatment reduced the incidence of PCI related severe myocardial injury or myocardial infarction(11.7%vs.26.5%,P=0.035).The rate of MACEs or all-cause death within 1 month or 1 year after the procedure was not significantly different between the two ***:Periprocedural treatment with salvianolate reduces the incidence of PCI related severe myocardial injury or myocardial infarction,although it does not influence clinical prognosis.
