A multiwalled carbon nanotubes/poly(bromocresol green) modfied glassy carbon electrode (MWNTs-PBG/GCE) was used to investigate the electrochemical behavior of reduced glutathione(GSH). GSH showed an irreversible oxidation process on MWNTs-PBG/GCE with an oxidation peak at 0.77 V(vs. SCE) in a phosphate buffer solution(pH=4.0). The kinetic parameters of the electrochemical behavior of GSH on MWNTs-PBG/GCE were calculated. Under the optimal conditions and with the help of amperometric method, a linear relationship was obtained between the oxidation peak current and GSH concentration in the range from 2×10-7 mol/L to 5×10-6 mol/L with the detection limit as 1×10-8 mol/L(signal-to-noise ratio of 3). The current reached the steady-state current within about 5 s. The modified electrode surface had very good reproducibility and stability.

The inclusion complex of β-cyclodextrin （β-CD） with 4-chlorobenzoic acid was synthesized and its crystal structure was determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction under cryogenic condition. The complex contains two β-CDs, two 4-chlorobenzoic acids and twenty-nine water molecules in the asymmetric unit, and can be formulated as 2（C42H70O35）·2（CTH5O2Cl）·29（H2O）. In the crystal lattice, two β-CDs form a face-to-face dimer jointed together through hydrogen bonding between the secondary hydroxyl groups of β--CDs. Two 4-chlorobenzoic acid molecules which contact by C-Cl…π interactions are included in the β-CD dimer cavity. The β-CD dimers are arranged in brickwork-like pattern along the crystallographic a-axis. The effect of guest molecule length on the inclusion geometry was discussed by comparative study of some fl-CD complexes containing similar guests.

Plants employ a highly effective surveillance system to detect potential pathogens, which is critical for the success of land plants in an environment surrounded by numerous microbes. Recent efforts have led to the identification of a number of immune receptors and components of immune receptor complexes. It is now clear that receptor-like kinases （RLKs） and receptor-like proteins （RLPs） are key pattern-recognition receptors （PRRs） for microbe- and plant-derived molecular patterns that are associated with pathogen invasion. RLKs and RLPs involved in immune signaling belong to large gene families in plants and have undergone lineage specific expansion. Molecular evolution and population studies on phytopathogenic molecular signatures and their receptors have provided crucial insight into the co-evolution between plants and pathogens.

Since the commencement of industrial reform in Chinna, most CHinese state-owneu enterprises have adopted a deferred executive compensation policy to provide incentives for their management teams. However, the effectiveness of such a policy needs to be evaluated In this paper, we specify a model of deferred executive compensation policy, in which the compensation for executives is contingent on firms ＇future revenue. The model suggests that under deferred executive compensation policies, managers exhibit an increasing level of effort in every period Furthermore, the deferred compensation policy encourages managers to make long-term investments, which might generate revenue even after the termination of managerial contracts.

A relation K° on C（S） is introduced as follows： if p, θ∈ C（S）, then we say that p and 0 are K°-related if Ker pO = Ker θ°, where p°= p｜s°. Expressions for the least and the greatest congruences in the same K°-class as p are provided. A number of equivalent conditions for K° being a congruence are given.

During environment testing, the time histories of some dynamic environments follow non-Gaussian distribution. It is always assumed that the random vibration simulated follows Gaussian distribution, because the traditional digital random vibration control system can only supply the random vibration excitation signal of Gaussian. Yo simulate the real environment of product, a method is developed in this paper that can generate non-Gaussian random signal with specified power spectrum density （PSD）, skewness and kurtosis by shot noise. In this way, non-Gaussian random vibration can be produced on traditional electrodynamic shaker. It solves the problems of spectral valley and energy shortage in low frequency on omni-axis shaker. At last, the wavelet is used to analyze the non-Gaussian signal

We modify the viscosity to disappear inside the sonic point in the advection-dominated accretion flows (ADAF's) around black holes, and obtain the causally connected, physically self-consistent ADAF-thin disk solutions. Such global solutions differ from previous ones in quantitative details. The results show that the range of variation for the value of the outer boundary Rout is very large, from 30Rg to 106Rg. There is a narrow region for which the rotating motion of the flow is super-Keplerian in each global solution. An example global solution with the causal viscosity is given explicitly, for which R8=2.28Rg and j=1.7564(cRg).

This paper deals with the hydration of a blend of Portland cement and activated coal gangue in order to determine the relationship between the degree of hydration and compressive strength *** hydration process was investigated by various means:isothermal calorimetry,thermal analysis,non-evaporable water measurement,and X-ray diffraction *** results show that the activated coal gangue is a pozzolanic material that contributes to the hydration of the cement *** pozzolanic reaction occurs over a period of between 7 and 90 d,consuming portlandite and forming both crystal hydrates and ill-crystallized calcium silicate *** hydrates are similar to those found in pure Portland *** results show that if activated coal gangue is substituted for cement at up to 30%(w/w),it does not significantly affect the final compressive strength of the blend.A long-term compressive strength improvement can in fact be achieved by using activated coal gangue as a sup-plementary cementing *** relationship between compressive strength and degree of hydration for both pure Portland cement and blended cement can be described with the same ***,the parameters are different since blended cement produces fewer calcium silicate hydrates than pure Portland cement at the same degree of hydration.
