We consider a class of n-dimensional Pompeiu equations and that of Pexider equations and their Hyers Ulam stability problems in the spaces of Schwartz distributions. First, reducing the given distribution version of functional equations to differential equations we find their solutions. Secondly, using approximate identities we prove the Hyers Ulam stability of the equations.

In general,as the radio frequency(RF)power increases in a capacitively coupled plasma(CCP),the power transfer efficiency decreases because the resistance of the CCP *** this work,a parallel resonance circuit is applied to improve the power transfer efficiency at high RF power,and the effect of the parallel resonance on the electron energy distribution function(EEDF)is investigated in a 60 MHz *** CCP consists of a power feed line,the electrodes,and *** reactance of the CCP is positive at 60 MHz and acts like an inductive load.A vacuum variable capacitor(VVC)is connected in parallel with the inductive load,and then the parallel resonance between the VVC and the inductive load can be *** the capacitance of the VVC approaches the parallel resonance condition,the equivalent resistance of the parallel circuit is considerably larger than that without the VVC,and the current flowing through the matching network is greatly ***,the power transfer efficiency of the discharge is improved from 76%,70%,and 68%to 81%,77%,and 76%at RF powers of 100 W,150 W,and 200 W,*** parallel resonance conditions,the electron heating in bulk plasma is enhanced,which cannot be achieved without the VVC even at the higher RF *** enhancement of electron heating results in the evolution of the shape of the EEDF from a biMaxwellian distribution to a distribution with the smaller temperature difference between high-energy electrons and low-energy *** to the parallel resonance effect,the electron density increases by approximately 4%,18%,and 21%at RF powers of 100 W,150 W,and 200 W,respectively.

Background: Efficient ampullary intervention is essential for endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP) in patients with a prior Billroth II gastrectomy. We retrospectively evaluated the safety and effectiveness of ampullary intervention using fully covered self-expandable metal stents(FCSEMSs) for the management of common bile duct(CBD) stones in a subset of patients with a history of Billroth II gastrectomy. Methods: This retrospective analysis involved patients with a prior Billroth II gastrectomy who underwent ampullary intervention with FCSEMSs for the management of CBD stones. The factors associated with FCSEMSs placement, treatment success, and procedural complications were analyzed. Results: A group of 15 patients(10 males; median age, 78 years) underwent biliary metal stent placement for high degree of CBD angulation(6), small or flat papilla with unclear margin(5), current use of double antiplatelet agents or an anticoagulant(2), unwanted instrumentation of the cystic duct(1), and insecure position of the scope(1). Ampullary intervention with FCSEMSs was successful in all patients. After dilating the ampulla of Vater and building a durable conduit with FCSEMSs immediately, CBD stones were removed successfully from all patients in a single session. A mild post-ERCP pancreatitis occurred in one patient, who recovered without complications. Conclusion: Ampullary intervention with FCSEMSs is safe and effective for the management of CBD stones in a subset of patients with a history of Billroth II gastrectomy.

In this study, we induced cerebral infarction in rats by occluding the right middle cerebral artery, and tested the effects of electroacupuncture at the Baihui acupoint （DU 20）. Motor and sensory function was tested using Garcia’s scale and motor weakness grading, and the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor in the brain was quantified using immunoblotting and immunohistochemistry. We found that scalp electroacupuncture at DU 20 significantly improved motor performance and sensory function in rats with stroke, and this was accompanied by an increased expression of vascular endothelial growth factor in the ischemic brain tissue and peri-ischemic area. In addition, Pearson correlation analysis showed that the improvements in functional recovery were correlated with the increased expression of vascular endothelial growth factor.

The acoustic nonlinearity of surface waves is studied to evaluate plastic deformation in aluminum alloys.A narrow-band surface wave is successfully generated by a pulsed Nd-YAG laser system consisting of a beam expander and a slit *** degrees of tensile deformation are induced by interrupting the tensile tests so as to obtain aluminum specimens with different degrees of plastic *** normalized acoustic nonlinearity increases as a function of tensile *** experimental results show that the acoustic nonlinearity of a laser-generated surface wave has a good correlation with the level of tensile deformation and has a potential to evaluate microdamage induced by dislocation microplasticity.
