An Environment‑Tolerant Ion‑Conducting Double‑Network Composite Hydrogel for High‑Performance Flexible Electronic Devices

High-performance ion-conducting hydrogels(ICHs)are vital for developing flexible electronic devices.However,the robustness and ion-conducting behavior of ICHs deteriorate at extreme tempera-tures,hampering their use in soft electronics.To resolve these issues,a method involving freeze–thawing and ionizing radiation technology is reported herein for synthesizing a novel double-network(DN)ICH based on a poly(ionic liquid)/MXene/poly(vinyl alcohol)(PMP DN ICH)system.The well-designed ICH exhibits outstanding ionic conductivity(63.89 mS cm^(-1) at 25℃),excellent temperature resistance(-60–80℃),prolonged stability(30 d at ambient temperature),high oxidation resist-ance,remarkable antibacterial activity,decent mechanical performance,and adhesion.Additionally,the ICH performs effectively in a flexible wireless strain sensor,thermal sensor,all-solid-state supercapacitor,and single-electrode triboelectric nanogenerator,thereby highlighting its viability in constructing soft electronic devices.The highly integrated gel structure endows these flexible electronic devices with stable,reliable signal output performance.In particular,the all-solid-state supercapacitor containing the PMP DN ICH electrolyte exhibits a high areal specific capacitance of 253.38 mF cm^(-2)(current density,1 mA cm^(-2))and excellent environmental adaptability.This study paves the way for the design and fabrication of high-performance mul-tifunctional/flexible ICHs for wearable sensing,energy-storage,and energy-harvesting applications.

Semiconductor photocatalysis holds great promise for breaking the inert chemical bonds under mild condition;however,the photoexcitation-induced modulation mechanism has not been well understood at the atomic level.Herein,by performing the DFT+U calculations,we quantitatively compare H_(2) activation on rutile TiO_(2)(110)under thermo-versus photo-catalytic condition.It is found that H2 dissociation prefers to occur via the heterolytic cleavage mode in thermocatalysis,but changes to the homolytic cleavage mode and gets evidently promoted in the presence of photoexcited hole(h^(+)).The origin can be ascribed to the generation of highly oxidative lattice O-radical(O_(br)^(·−))with a localized unoccupied O-2p state.More importantly,we identify that this photo-induced promotion effect can be practicable to another kind of important chemical bond,i.e.,C-H bond in light hydrocarbons including alkane,alkene and aromatics;an exception is the C(sp^(1))-H in alkyne(HC≡CH),which encounters inhibition effect from photoexcitation.By quantitative analysis,the origins behind these results are attributed to the interplay between two factors:C-H bond energy(E_(bond))and the acidity.Owing to the relatively high E_(bond) and acidity,it favors the C(sp^(1))-H bond to proceed with the heterolytic cleavage mode in both thermo-and photo-catalysis,and the photoexcited O_(br)^(·−)is adverse to receiving the transferred proton.By contrast,for the other hydrocarbons with moderate/low E_(bond),the O_(br)^(·−)would enable to change their activation mode to a more favored homolytic one and evidently decrease the C-H activation barrier.This work may provide a general picture for understanding the photocatalytic R-H(R=H,C)bond activation over the semiconductor catalyst.

Sentiment classification aims to identify the polarity of a given review. Most existing methods consider each review as an individual while ignoring the importance of the user and product information of the given review. A direct way to integrate user and product information is to employ an attention mechanism to learn the local interaction between them. However, local interactions cannot capture the global optimization among user and product information. Therefore, we propose a novel interactive model to integrate both local and global interactions between users and products. In particular, we employ an attention mechanism to learn local interactions between users and products, and construct user and product interactive graphs to model the global interaction of users and products. Empirical evaluation shows that our model outperforms previous state-of-the-art methods significantly by learning the local and global interactions among users’ preferences, product characteristics, and reviews.

Non-noble metal electrocatalysts for water cracking have excellent pro-spects for development of sustainable and clean energy.Highly efficient electrocatalysts for the oxygen evolution reaction(OER)are very important for various energy storage and conversion systems such as water splitting devices and metal-air batteries.This study prepared a NiMo4@C_(3)N_(4) catalyst for OER and hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)by simple methods.The catalyst exhibited an excellent OER activity based on the response at a suitable temperature.To drive a current density of 10 mA-cm^(-2) for OER and HER,the overpotentials required for NiMo4@C_(3)N_(4)-800(prepared at 800℃)were 259 and 118 mV,respectively.A two-electrode system using NiMo4@C_(3)N_(4)-800 needed a very low cell potential of 1.572 V to reach a current density of 10 mA-cm^(-2).In addition,this catalyst showed excellent durability after long-term tests.It was seen to have good catalytic activity and broad application prospects.

Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2(SARS-CoV-2)has posed a significant threat to global health.It caused a total of 80868 confirmed cases and 3101 deaths in Chinese mainland until March 8,2020.This novel virus spread mainly through respiratory droplets and close contact.As disease progressed,a series of complications tend to develop,especially in critically ill patients.Pathological findings showed representative features of acute respiratory distress syndrome and involvement of multiple organs.Apart from supportive care,no specific treatment has been established for COVID-19.The efficacy of some promising antivirals,convalescent plasma transfusion,and tocilizumab needs to be investigated by ongoing clinical trials.

The deadly plant killer Phytophthora contains more than 100 species, which together attack a wide range of host plants to cause failure of crops and forest plants(Kamoun et al.,2015). During the infection, each Phytophthora secrets numerous effectors into plant cells to manipulate host cellular processes for successful colonization. How these effectors are evolved to target diverse host proteins and the underlying biochemical mechanisms are key to our understanding of the adaptation of Phytophthora on their host plants.

Marine ecological disasters occurred frequently in recent years and raised widespread concerns about the ecological health of the ocean.We analyzed the spatiotemporal distributions of Ulva prolifera and Sargassum from April to July each year between 2016 and 2020 in the South Yellow Sea using multisource(GF-1 and HJ-1A/1B)remote sensing images,combined with the MODIS sea surface temperature(SST)data,photosynthetically active radiation(PAR)data,and Quick SCAT sea surface wind(SSW)data,to explore the potential influencing factors.The results show that(1)U.prolifera and Sargassum appeared mainly from May to July and April to June,respectively;(2)U.prolifera showed an impact in larger spatial scope than that of Sargassum.U.prolifera originated in the shoal area of northern Jiangsu and finally disappeared in the sea near Haiyang-Rongcheng area.The spatial scope of the impact of Sargassum tended to expand.Sargassum was first detected in the ocean northeast of the Changjiang(Yangtze)River estuary and disappeared near 35°N;and(3)correlation analysis showed that the SST influenced the growth rate of U.prolifera and Sargassum.PAR had varied eff ects on U.prolifera and Sargassum at different times.A moderate light conditions could accelerate the growth and reproduction of U.prolifera and Sargassum.High irradiance levels of ultraviolet radiation may cause photoinhibition and damage on U.prolifera and Sargassum.The southeast monsoon and surface currents promoted the drift of U.prolifera and Sargassum from the southeast to the northwest and north.Therefore,the spatial and temporal similarities and differences between U.prolifera and Sargassum were influenced by a combination of factors during their growth processes.
