It is difficult to compute far-field waves in a relative large area by using one wave generation model wh.n a large calculation domain is needed because of large dimensions of th. waterway and long distance of th. required computing points. Variation of waterway bath.metry and nonlinearity in th. far field cannot be included in a sh.p fixed process eith.r. A coupled meth.d combining a wave generation model and wave propagation model is th.n used in th.s paper to simulate th. wash.waves generated by th. passing sh.p. A NURBS-based h.gh.r order panel meth.d is adopted as th. stationary wave generation model; a wave spectrum meth.d and Boussinesq-type equation wave model are used as th. wave propagation model for th. constant water depth.condition and variable water depth.condition, respectively. Th. waves calculated by th. NURBS-based h.gh.r order panel meth.d in th. near field are used as th. input for th. wave spectrum meth.d and th. Boussinesq-type equation wave model to obtain th. far-field waves. With.th.s approach.it is possible to simulate th. sh.p wash.waves including th. effects of water depth.and waterway bath.metry. Parts of th. calculated results are validated experimentally, and th. agreement is demonstrated. Th. effects of sh.p wash.waves on th. moored sh.p are discussed by using a diffraction th.ory meth.d. Th. results indicate th.t th. prediction of th. sh.p induced waves by coupling models is feasible.

Mech.nical alloying h.s been used to produce nanocrystallite Co2Crl-xFexAl （x = 0, 0.4, 0.6, 1） h.usler alloys. Th. formation of th. L21 ph.se of Co2Cr1-xFexAl by th. mech.nical alloying meth.d was investigated. Th. effect of Fe doping on th. structural and magnetic properties of th. samples was also studied. Th. results were compared with.th. Slater Pauling prediction. A comparison between th.se samples and th.se prepared by th. arc-melting meth.d in th. literature was made. An increase of th. coercivity h. with.th. increasing Fe doping level was observed. Th.s ph.nomenon was explained by th. increases of lattice strain and magnetic anisotropy with.th. increasing Fe content.

Th.s paper deals with.deformation textures and fabrics of mantle-derived xenolith. and dislocation microstructures of olivine in th. upper mantle in th. Pengh. Islands, Taiwan. According to th. calculation of th. ch.mical composition of xenolith.minerals (pyroxene), th. equilibrium temperatures and pressures were 986-1116@ and 1.50-2.60 GPa, respectively. Deformation events in th. upper mantle may fall into th.ee sequences' (1) uniform steady-state flow deformation with.h.gh.temperatures and low stresses, (2) sh.ar flow deformation with.h.gh.temperatures and relatively h.gh.stresses on diapiric margins of th. upper mantle, and (3) extraction deformation of {110} glide bands with.low temperatures and h.gh.strain rates. Deformation events and th.rmal structure of th. upper mantle in th. study area sh.w th.t eastern Fujian and th. Pengh. Islands are ch.racterized by very similar rh.ological properties of th. upper mantle. Volcanism of basalts in th. Pengh. Islands is related to h.t spots of th. upper mantle under neath.th. Taiwan Strait, and diapirism and upwelling of th. upper mantle are th. dominant factors responsible for rifting of th. continental margins in eastern Ch.na.

NOAA’s Oceanic Nino Index(ONI)is used to record for h.storical purposes th. occurrence and duration of El Nino episodes,based on th. monitoring of sea surface temperatures(SSTs)in th. central Pacific *** ONI is used to identify th. onset of an above average SST th.esh.ld th.t persists for several month.,encompassing both.th. beginning and end of an El Nino *** first appearance of an anomalous seasonal value of 0.5℃suggests with.a h.gh.probability th.t an El Nino could emerge,but for h.igh.ened warnings,one must wait for several *** th.s article,we proposed th.t th. ONI value of 0.7℃identifies a tipping point at wh.ch.th. El Nino event becomes locked in,wh.ch.can provide additional lead time for mitigative actions to be taken by societal decision *** preliminary findings suggest th.t a first appearance of 0.7℃value could serve as a credible marker of El Nino’s locked-in ph.se,wh.ch.can provide additional credibility to th. current 0.5℃El Nino onset indicator for at-risk societies to get ready for El Nino’s foreseeable societal and ecological impacts.

We propose a deep neural network(DNN)as a fast surrogate model for local stress calculations in inh.mogeneous non-linear *** sh.w th.t th. DNN predicts th. local stresses with.3.8%mean absolute percentage error(MAPE)for th. case of h.terogeneous elastic media and a mech.nical contrast of up to factor of 1.5 among neigh.oring domains,wh.le performing 103 times faster th.n spectral *** DNN model proves suited for reproducing th. stress distribution in geometries different from th.se used for *** th. case of elasto-plastic materials with.up to 4 times mech.nical contrast in yield stress among adjacent regions,th. trained model simulates th. micromech.nics with.a MAPE of 6.4%in one single forward evaluation of th. network,with.ut any *** results reveal an efficient approach.to solve non-linear mech.nical problems,with.an acceleration up to a factor of 8300 for elastic-plastic materials compared to typical solvers.

Th.s paper presents a numerical investigation of sh.p manoeuvring under th. combined effect of bank and propeller. Th. incompressible turbulent flow with.free surface around th. self-propelled h.ll form is simulated using a commercial CFD software （ANSYS-FLUENT）. In order to estimate th. influence of th. bank-propeller effect on th. h.drodynamic forces acting on th. sh.p, volume forces representing th. propeller are added to Navier-Stokes equations. Th. numerical simulations are carried out using th. equivalent of experiment conditions. Th. validation of th. CFD model is performed by comparing th. numerical results to th. availa- ble experimental data. For th.s investigation, th. impact of Sh.p-Bank distance and sh.p speed on th. bank effect are tested with.and with.ut propeller. An additional parameter concerning th. advance ratio of th. propeller is also tested.

A feature extraction and fusion algorith. was constructed by combining principal component analysis(PCA) and linear discriminant analysis(LDA) to detect a fault state of th. induction *** yielding a feature vector with.PCA and LDA from current signal th.t was measured by an experiment,th. reference data were used to produce match.ng *** a diagnostic step,two match.ng values th.t were obtained by PCA and LDA,respectively,were combined by probability model,and a faulted signal was finally *** th. proposed diagnosis algorith. brings only merits of PCA and LDA into relief,it sh.ws excellent performance under th. noisy *** simulation was executed under various noisy conditions in order to demonstrate th. suitability of th. proposed algorith. and sh.wed more excellent performance th.n th. case just using conventional PCA or LDA.
