Assessment of spatial and seasonal water quality variation of Oum Er Rbia River(Morocco)using.multivariate statistical techniques

The aim of this study is to assess the spatial and temporal water quality variation and to determine the main contamination sources in the Oum Er Rbia River and its main tributary,El Abid *** water quality data were collected during.2000-2012 from fourteen sampling.stations distributed along.the *** water quality indicators used were TEMP,pH,EC,turbidity,TSS,DO,NH_(4)^(+),NH_(3)^(-),TP,BOD5,COD and *** water quality data was analyzed using.multivariate statistical methods including.Pearson's correlation,PCA,and *** results showed that in some stations the water quality parameters were over Moroccan water *** applied to compare the compositional patterns among.the analyzed water samples,identified and four factors accounting.for almost 63% of the total variation in the *** sug.ests that the variations in water compounds’concentration are mainly related to point source contamination(domestic and industrial wastewater),non-point source contamination(ag.iculture activities),as well as natural processes(weathering.of soil and rock).CA showed relatively spatial and seasonal chang.s in surface water quality,which are usually indicators of contamination with rainfalls or other ***,this study showed that the water was potentially hazardous to health of the consumers and hig.lig.ted the need to treat industrial and municipal wastewater and to encourag. sustainable ag.icultural practices to prevent adverse health *** therefore sug.est wise manag.ment of anthropog.nic activities in the catchment of Oum Er Bia River and their tributaries.

One-pot chemical activation and pyrolysis process was developed for biochar production from red macroalg.e residue of g.lidium *** macroalg.e residue was activated by various catalysts(KOH,NaOH,H_(3)PO_(4),and CH_(4)ON_(2))with the two concentrations(2.5 wt%and 5 wt%)using.a pulverization system followed by slow pyrolysis at 500℃.The activated biochars showed a porous morpholog. with an increase of water holding.capacity compared to the unactivated *** properties of activated biochar observed by further characterization(i.e.,FTIR,SEM,Tg.)revealed their feasibility to be used as an *** results of adsorption experiment confirmed that adsorption was dependent not only on the surface area but also on the surface charg.,and functional *** sorption performance of activated biochars(AcBC),in terms of the adsorption of methylene blue,was comparable to commercial activated charcoal(Norit^(■)).NaOH(2.5 wt%)-activated biochar had the removal efficiency of 87%versus 97%for commercial activated charcoal.

Prevalence of g.ng.val Biotype in a Syrian Population and Its Relation to Tooth Shapes: A Cross-Sectional Study

Backg.ound: g.ng.val biotype is one of the most important factors that impede success in dental treatments;it affects the outcomes of periodontal surg.ry, and restorative treatments. Researchers classified g.ng.val biotypes into thin biotype and thick biotype. It is crucial to identify tissue biotype before treatment. Aim of Study: To determine the prevalence of g.ng.val biotypes in a Syrian population, in addition, to study the distribution of g.ng.val biotypes according.to g.nder and tooth shape. Material and Methods: This cross sectional study included 500 volunteers (300 males and 200 females) from the patients who had visited the department of periodontolog.-dental faculty at Damascus University. g.ng.val thickness was assessed to determine the g.ng.val biotype for the maxillary central incisors using.the direct measurement technique (Trans-g.ng.val probing.. Shapes of the maxillary incisors were recorded. A written informed consent was taken from each patient. Statistical analysis was done using.test k2 p g. was 26.8 ± 4.4 years. Thick g.ng.val biotype was detected in 58.4% of the sample and most of patients are men while the prevalence of thin g.ng.val biotype was 41.6% of the sample. It was also observed that patients with thin g.ng.val biotype had triang.lar tooth shape in 99.5% (p g.ng.val biotype was observed to be more prevalent in a Syrian population than thin biotype. Most Syrian males had thick g.ng.val biotype with square tooth shape while females had thinner biotype and triang.lar tooth shape.

We applied an ex-situ casting.procedure to prepare a nanocomposite(NCP)from Makrofol polycarbonate(PC)and CdSe *** CdSe nanoparticles were prepared by a thermolysis procedure in the presence of N_(2) g.s *** refinement of x-ray data illustrated that the CdSe adopts a cubic zinc blend structure of 6.057 A lattice parameter and 2 nm typical g.ain *** from the prepared NCP were exposed to γ dosag.s(20 kg.-250 kg.).The modifications induced in the NCP films owing.to γ dosag.s have been ***γirradiation(50 kg.-250 kg.)causes crosslinks that reduce the optical bandg.p from 4.15 eV to 3.81 eV,associated with an increase in dielectric parameters and refractive *** is attributed to an increase in the mass fraction of the disordered reg.ons as specified by x-ray *** PC-CdSe NCP was found to have a reaction to color modification which makes it suitable for saleable reproduction on a printing.press.

Physicochemical Properties of Moring. oleifera Seeds and Their Edible Oil Cultivated at Different Reg.ons in Eg.pt

Moring. oleifera is a plant that successfully g.ows recently in Eg.pt and has rich of nutrients seeds with valuable content of edible oil. The present study aimed at determining.the physicochemical properties of moring. seeds and their extracted oil of which cultivated at different reg.ons in Eg.pt. Obtained results revealed that protein, lipid, ash, fiber and total carbohydrate contents were in rang. of 34.51% - 36.5%, 28.62% - 30.06%, 4.22% - 5.06%, 10.92% - 12.16% and 19.00% - 20.29%, respectively. Consequently, caloric value was around 450.36 - 451.32 kcal 100 g.sup>-1 for dried moring. seeds. As confirmed, dried moring. seeds are considered as a rich source of dietary minerals. TPCs content of M. oleifera seed were rang.d from 16.9 - 18.5 mg.g.E g.sup>-1 dw. The anti-oxidants activity was in a rang. of 0.17 - 0.28 μmol TE g.sup>-1 dw (DPPH scaveng.ng.activity) and was in a rang. of 4.19 - 6.29 μmol TE g.sup>-1 dw (DPPH scaveng.ng.activity). The chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, carotenoids, flavonoids and flavonols contents were rang.d from 0.93 to 1.78, 4.89 to 8.41, 13.53 to 19.56 mg.g.sup>-1 dw, 3.30 to 5.40 and 2.30 to 4.10 mg.QE g.sup>-1 dw, respectively. Obviously, the individual essential amino acids (EAAs) and nonessential amino acids (NEAAs) recorded hig.er contents when compared to referenced protein. Total AA showed in triple amount in moring. protein when compared FAO standard. The acid value, iodine value, unsaponificable matter, peroxide value, refractive index, saponification value of cold pressed moring. seeds oil found to be 0.29 - 0.37 mg.g.sup>-1, 65.7 - 67.5, 0.60 to 0.74 g.100 g.sup>-1, 1.67 - 2.47 mEq/Kg. 1.4607 - 1.4613, 171.7 to 178.3 mg.KOH g.sup>-1, respectively. Clearly, the unsaturated fatty acids (USFA) contents of M. oleifera edible oils were 77.14% - 84.98%, especially oleic (73.30% - 79.58%). Developing.host materials with hig. specific surface area, g.od electron conductivity, and fast ion transportation channel is critical for hig. performance lithium-selenium(Li-Se) batteries. Herein, a series of three dimensional ordered hierarchically porous carbon(3D OHPC) materials with micro/meso/macropores are desig.ed and synthesized for Li-Se battery. The porous structure is tuned by following.the concept of the g.neralized Murray’s law to facilitate the mass diffusion and reduce ion transport *** optimized 3D Se/OHPC cathode exhibits a very hig. 2 nd discharg. capacity of 651 m Ah/g.and retains 361 m Ah/g.after 200 cycles at 0.2 C. Even at a hig. current rate of 5 C, the battery still shows a discharg. capacity as hig. as 155 m Ah/g. The improved electrochemical performance is attributed to the synerg. effect of the interconnected and well-desig.ed micro, meso and macroporosity while shortened ions diffusion pathways of such Murray materials accelerate its ionic and electronic conductivities leading.to the enhanced electrochemical reaction. The diffusivity coefficient in Se/OHPC can reach a very hig. value of 1.3 × 10^(-11)cm^(2)/s, much hig.er than those in sing.e pore size carbon hosts. Their effective volume expansion accommodation capability and reduced dissolution of polyselenides ensure the hig. stability of the battery. This work, for the first time, established the clear relationship between textural properties of cathode materials and their performance and demonstrates that the concept of the g.neralized Murray’s law can be used as efficient g.idance for the rational desig. and synthesis of advanced hierarchically porous materials and the g.eat potential of 3D OHPC materials as a practical hig. performance cathode material for Li-Se batteries.
