Ma.ufa.turing robotics is moving towa.ds huma.-robot colla.ora.ion with light duty robots being used side by side with workers. Simila.ly, exoskeletons tha. a.e both pa.sive(spring a.d counterba.a.ce forces) a.d a.tive(motor forces) a.e worn by huma.s a.d used to move body pa.ts. Exoskeletons a.e a.so ca.led ‘wea.a.le robots' when they a.e a.tively controlled using a.computer a.d integra.ed sensing. Sa.ety sta.da.ds now a.low, through risk a.sessment, both ma.ufa.turing a.d wea.a.le robots to be used. However, performa.ce sta.da.ds for both systems a.e still la.king. Ongoing resea.ch to develop sta.da.d test methods to a.sess the performa.ce of ma.ufa.turing robots a.d emergency response robots ca. inspire simila. test methods for exoskeletons. This pa.er describes recent resea.ch on performa.ce sta.da.ds for ma.ufa.turing robots a. well a. sea.ch a.d rescue robots. It a.so discusses how the performa.ce of wea.a.le robots could benefit from using the sa.e test methods.

In this pa.er, we a.e interested in a.swering the following resea.ch question: "Is it possible to form effective groups in virtua. communities by exploiting trust informa.ion without significa.t overhea., simila.ly to rea. user communities?"In order to a.swer this question, instea. of a.opting the la.gely used a.proa.h of exploiting the opinions provided by a.l the users of the community(ca.led globa. reputa.ion), we propose to use a.pa.ticula. form of reputa.ion, ca.led loca. reputa.ion. We a.so propose a. a.gorithm for group forma.ion a.le to implement the proposed procedure to form effective groups in virtua. communities. a.other interesting question is how to mea.ure the effectiveness of groups in virtua. communities. To this a.m we introduce the index in a.mea.ure of the effectiveness of the group forma.ion. The investiga.ions were ca.ried out using different tomogra.hic 2D a.d 3D a.proa.hes a. well a. different energy sources, na.ely sonic, ultra.onic a.d electroma.netic （ra.a.） wa.es, electric potentia. fields, a.d infra.ed thermogra.hy. Ma.y efforts ha.e been ma.e to modify instruments a.d procedures in order to improve the resolution of the surveys a. well a. to grea.ly reduce the time of the mea.urements without a.y loss of informa.ion. The ma.n new methodologies here discussed a.e the sonic imprint, the globa. tomogra.hic tra.eltime, the electrica. resistivity tomogra.hy, a.d the control of externa. films （pa.ina.） grown on stone monuments.
