The development of functional composites with excellent thermal management capabilities and electro-magnetic interference(EMI)shielding has become extremely urgent for keeping up with the continuous improvement of the operating speed and efficiency for electronic *** this study,the biolog-ical wood-derived porous carbon(WPC)was determined as the supporting material to encapsulating polyethylene glycol(PEG),and a series of WPC/PEG/Fe_(3)O_(4) phase change composites(PCCs)with excel-lent shape stability,EMI shielding and thermal management capabilities were prepared via a simple vac-uum impregnation *** Fe_(3)O_(4) magnetic particles modified PCCs have greatly improved the EMI shielding effectiveness(SE).The EMI SE of WP-4(7.5 wt.% Fe_(3)O_(4) in PEG)can be up to 55.08 dB between 8.2−12.4 GHz,however,the WP-0 without Fe_(3)O_(4) addition is only 40.08 ***,the absorption ratio of electromagnetic waves(EMW)has also increased from 75.02%(WP-0)to 85.56%(WP-4),which effectively prevents secondary *** addition,after wrapping a thin layer of polydimethylsiloxane resin(PDMS),the obtained WP-4 can maintain a high heat storage capacity(109.52 J/g)and good wa-ter *** short,the prepared WPC/PEG/Fe_(3)O_(4) PCCs have great potential application value in the thermal management and electromagnetic shielding requirements for electronic devices.

Characteristic changes in astrocyte properties during astrocyte-to-neuron conversion induced by NeuroD1/Ascl1/Dlx2

Direct in vivo conversion of astrocytes into functional new neurons induced by neural transcription factors has been recognized as a potential new therapeutic intervention for neural injury and degenerative disorders. However, a few recent studies have claimed that neural transcription factors cannot convert astrocytes into neurons, attributing the converted neurons to pre-existing neurons mis-expressing transgenes. In this study, we overexpressed three distinct neural transcription factors––NeuroD1, Ascl1, and Dlx2––in reactive astrocytes in mouse cortices subjected to stab injury, resulting in a series of significant changes in astrocyte properties. Initially, the three neural transcription factors were exclusively expressed in the nuclei of astrocytes. Over time, however, these astrocytes gradually adopted neuronal morphology, and the neural transcription factors was gradually observed in the nuclei of neuron-like cells instead of astrocytes. Furthermore,we noted that transcription factor-infected astrocytes showed a progressive decrease in the expression of astrocytic markers AQP4(astrocyte endfeet signal), CX43(gap junction signal), and S100β. Importantly, none of these changes could be attributed to transgene leakage into preexisting neurons. Therefore, our findings suggest that neural transcription factors such as NeuroD1, Ascl1, and Dlx2 can effectively convert reactive astrocytes into neurons in the adult mammalian brain.

The E3 ubiquitin ligase,carboxyl terminus of heat shock protein 70(Hsp70)interacting protein(CHIP),also functions as a co-chaperone and plays a crucial role in the protein quality control *** this study,we aimed to investigate the neuroprotective effect of overexpressed CHIP on Alzheimer’s *** used an adeno-associated virus vector that can cross the blood-brain barrier to mediate CHIP overexpression in APP/PS1 mouse *** overexpression significantly ameliorated the performance of APP/PS1 mice in the Morris water maze and nest building tests,reduced amyloid-βplaques,and decreased the expression of both amyloid-βand phosphorylated *** also alleviated the concentration of microglia and astrocytes around *** APP/PS1 mice of a younger age,CHIP overexpression promoted an increase in ADAM10 expression and inhibitedβ-site APP cleaving enzyme 1,insulin degrading enzyme,and neprilysin *** of HSP70 and HSP40,which have functional relevance to CHIP,were also *** nuclei transcriptome sequencing in the hippocampus of CHIP overexpressed mice showed that the lysosomal pathway and oligodendrocyte-related biological processes were up-regulated,which may also reflect a potential mechanism for the neuroprotective effect of *** research shows that CHIP effectively reduces the behavior and pathological manifestations of APP/PS1 ***,overexpression of CHIP could be a beneficial approach for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.

New self-consistent effective one-body theory for spinless binaries based on the post-Minkowskian approximation

The effective one-body theories, introduced by Buonanno and Damour, are novel approaches to constructing a gravitational waveform template. By taking a gauge in which ψ_(1)^(B) and ψ_(3)^(B) vanish, we find a decoupled equation with separable variables for ψ_(4)^(B) in the effective metric obtained in the post-Minkowskian approximation. Furthermore, we set up a new self-consistent effective one-body theory for spinless binaries, which can be applicable to any post-Minkowskian orders. This theory not only releases the assumption that v/c should be a small quantity but also resolves the contradiction that the Hamiltonian, radiation-reaction force, and waveform are constructed from different physical models in the effective one-body theory with the post-Newtonian approximation. Compared with our previous theory [Sci. China-Phys. Mech. Astron. 65, 260411(2022)], the computational effort for the radiation-reaction force and waveform in this new theory will be tremendously reduced.

Energy-efficient URLLC service provisioning in softwarization-based networks

Software defined networking(SDN) and network function virtualization(NFV) as new technologies have shown great potential in improving the flexibility of resource management for network service provisioning. As traffic dynamics may cause violation of rigid service requirements, especially for ultrareliability and low-latency communication(URLLC) service, it is essential yet challenging to dynamically allocate an appropriate amount of resources(including computation, transmission, and energy) to network functions(NFs) in softwarization-based networks. Meanwhile, with the explosion of high resource-demanding applications, the energy efficiency of communication networks deserves significant attention. In this paper,we investigate the dynamic network function resource allocation(NFRA) problem with aim to minimize longterm energy consumption while guaranteeing the requirements of URLLC services in softwarization-based networks. To cater for efficient on-line NFRA decisions, we design a distributed dynamic NF resource allocation(DDRA) algorithm based on dynamic value iteration(DVI). The convergence of the DDRA algorithm is proved. We conduct simulation experiments based on real-world data traces for performance *** numerical results demonstrate that the proposed DDRA algorithm achieves around 25% and 20% energy consumption reduction when compared with two benchmark algorithms, respectively.

Nuclear Chaotic Behavior in a Two—j Shell Coupled with a Rotor Model

The chaotic properties for six particles interacting by a monopole pairing force in a two-j shell model coupled with a deformed core are studied in the frame of particle-rotor model. The nearest-neighbor distribution of energy levels and spectral rigidity in the two-j shell are compared with those in the single-j case. The results show that the system is more regular in the two-j model than that in the single-j case.

Accumulation and relationship of metals in different soil aggregate fractions along soil profiles

Different aggregates vary in their ability to retain or adsorb metals in *** soil profiles were sampled from different soil horizons and grouped,and the concentrations of Al,Mg,Ca,Fe,Mn,Cd,Cu and Pb were determined in six sizes of aggregates(>2,2-1,1-0.6,0.6-0.25,0.25-0.053,<0.053 mm).Significantly high(p<0.05)structural stability indexes(SSI)and ag-gregate stability indexes(ASI)were recorded in the topsoil horizon,which may be attributed to the high soil organic matter(SOM)content in aggregates from *** addition,ASI and SSI were positively correlated(r=0.569,p<0.05)with each other,which indicated that the stability of soil aggregates could contribute to the structural stability of bulk ***,accumulation factors(AF),principal component analysis(PCA)and Pearson's correlation co-efficients were used for metal element *** results indicated that SOM was not a key factor affecting the accumulation of Ca,Mg,Al,Fe,Mn,Pb,Cd and Cu in soil *** general,AF values for metal elements in microaggregates(<0.25 mm)were high,which showed that metals preferred to accumulate in fine soil *** PCA and Pearson's correlation coefficients indicated that soil parent materials primarily controlled the distribution of Al,Ca,Fe,Mg and Mn,while materials derived from technogenic sources have important impacts on the distribution of Cd,Cu and Pb in soil aggregates along the soil profile.
