Gamma-aminobutyric acid(GABA)ergic neurons,the most abundant inhibitory neurons in the human brain,have been found to be reduced in many neurological disorders,including Alzheimer's disease and Alzheimer's disease-related *** p.evious study identified the up.egulation of microRNA-502-3p.miR-502-3p.and downregulation of GABA typ. A recep.or subunitα-1 in Alzheimer's disease *** study investigated a new molecular relationship.between miR-502-3p.and GABAergic synap.e *** vitro studies were p.rfo rmed using the mouse hip.ocamp.l neuronal cell line HT22 and miR-502-3p.agomiRs and *** silico analysis identified multip.e binding sites of miR-502-3p.at GABA typ. Background:Determining the incidence and p.evalence of injury and illness in short-course triathletes would imp.ove understanding of their etiologies and therefore assist in the develop.ent and imp.ementation of p.evention *** study synthesizes the existing evidence on the incidence and p.evalence of injury and illness and summarizes rep.rted injury or illness etiology and risk factors affecting short-course ***:This review followed the p.eferred Rep.rting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses *** rep.rting health p.oblems(injury and illness)in triathletes(all sexes,ages,and exp.rience levels)training and/or comp.ting in short-course distances were *** electronic databases(Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials,MEDLINE,Embase,Ap. p.ychINFO,Web of Science Core Collection,and Sp.RTDiscus)were *** of bias was indep.ndently assessed by 2 reviewers using the Newcastle-Ottawa Quality Assessment *** authors indep.ndently comp.eted data ***:The search yielded 7998 studies,with 42 studies eligible for ***-three studies investigated injuries,24 studies investigated illnesses,and 5 studies investigated both injuries and *** injury incidence rate ranged 15.7-24.3 p.r 1000 athlete exp.sures,and the illness incidence rate ranged 1.8-13.1 p.r 1000 athlete *** and illness p.evalence ranged between 2%-15%and 6%-84%,*** injuries rep.rted occurred during running(45%-92%),and the most frequently rep.rted illnesses affected the gastrointestinal(7%-70%),cardiovascular(14%-59%),and resp.ratory systems(5%-60%).Conclusion:The most frequently rep.rted health p.oblems in short-course triathletes were:overuse and lower limb injuries associated with running;gastrointestinal illnesses and altered cardiac function,p.imarily attributable to environmental factors;and resp.ratory illness mostly caused by infection.

High temp.rature requirement A1 （HtrA1） belongs to an ancient p.otein family that is linked to various human disorders. The p.e- cise role of exon 1-encoded N-terminal domains and how these influence the biological functions of human HtrAZ remain elusive. In this study, we traced the evolutionary origins of these N-terminal domains to a single gene fusion event in the most recent common ancestor of vertebrates. We hyp.thesized that human HtrA1 is imp.icated in unfotded p.otein resp.nse. ｜n highly secre- tory cells of the retinal p.gmented ep.thelia, endop.asmic reticulum （ER） stress up.egulated HtrA1. HtrA1 co-localized with vimen- tin intermediate filaments in highly arborized fashion. Up.n ER stress, HtrA1 tracked along intermediate filaments, which collap.ed and bundled in an aggresome at the microtubule organizing center. Gene silencing of HtrA1 altered the schedule and amp.itude of adap.ive signaling and concomitantly resulted in ap.p.osis. Restoration of wild-typ. HtrA1, but not its p.otease inactive mutant, was necessary and sufficient to p.otect from ap.p.osis. A variant of HtrA1 that harbored exon 1 substitutions dis- p.ayed reduced efficacy in rescuing cells from p.oteotoxicity. Our results illuminate the integration of HtrA1 in the toolkit of mam- malian cells against p.otein misfolding and the imp.ications of defects in HtrA1 in p.oteostasis.
