Negative binomial regression is a powerful technique for modeling count data,particularly when dealing with ***,estimating the parameters for large-dimensional sparse models is challenging due to the complexity of optimizing the mean and dispersion parameter of the negative binomial *** address this issue,the authors propose a novel approach that employs two iterations of the majorize-minimize(MM)algorithm,one for estimating the dispersion parameter and the other for estimating the mean *** approaches improve the convergence speed and stability of the *** authors also use group penalty for variable selection,which enhances the accuracy and efficiency of the *** proposed method provides an explicit solution,simplifies the iteration process,and maintains good stability while ensuring algorithm ***,the authors apply the proposed algorithm to the zero-inflated model and demonstrate its promising predictive performance on specific data *** research has important implications for count data modeling and analysis in various fields,such as data mining,machine learning,and bioinformatics.

Recently,photodynamic therapy(PDT)has attracted wide attention due to its less susceptibility to drug resistance,broad-spectrum biocidal activity and biosafety in normal ***,the traditional photosensitizers(Ps)face the disadvantage of poor therapeutic efficacy due to the requirement of an aerobic environment to generate ^(1)O_(2) through Type Ⅱ ***,we designed and synthesized a novel cationic conjugated oligomer oligo(phenylene vinylene)(OPV)and studied its antibacterial photodynamic activity against both Gram-negative Escherichia coli(***)and Gram-positive bacteria methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA).Importantly,the OpV can rapidly produce reactive oxygen species(ROs)through double pathways,Type Ⅰ and Ⅱ mechanism under white light irradiation,and efficiently kill *** and MRSA at a nanomolar *** dual type photosensitizing capability makes OPV promising for enhanced PDT to treat pathogens and tumors in complex environments.

A Mach-Zehnder interferometer(MZI)for simultaneously measuring refractive index(RI)and temperature is proposed and verified in this *** sensor head is composed of thin core fiber(TCF)S-taper structure and spherical *** monitoring two interference dips,experimental results show that the RI sensitivities are-70.392 nm/RIU and-60.08 nm/RIU in the RI range of 1.3384—1.3500,*** the temperature sensitivities are 0.05072 nm/℃and 0.0717 nm/℃in the temperature range of 30—70℃,*** simultaneous measurement of the temperature and external RI is demonstrated based on the sensitive *** sensor also has the advantages of low cost,simple structure and high sensitivity.

Hematite has been considered as one of the most promising photoanode candidates for solar water‐splitting. However, its photoelectrochemical (PEC) efficiency is largely constrained by its sluggish oxygen evolution reaction. In this work, the photoelectrochemical performance of hematite was investigated in electrolytes containing different sacrificial agent. The photocurrent densities, onset potential, charge transfer resistance, Helmholtz capacitance at semiconductor liquid junctions (SCLJs), and their correlations were systematically studied. It was found that the onset potential is around the C H peak potential and is related to the photovoltage. The surface states pinning the Fermi levels of the hematite photoanode are related to the adsorbed water molecules regardless of the sacrificial agents in the electrolyte.

Mitochondria are crucial organelles closely associated with cellular metabolism and *** DNA(mtDNA)encodes a variety of transcripts and proteins essential for cellular ***,the interaction between the inner membrane(IM)and mtDNA remains elusive due to the limitations in spatiotemporal resolution offered by conventional microscopy and the absence of suitable in vivo probes specifically targeting the ***,we have developed a novel fluorescence probe called HBmito Crimson,characterized by exceptional photostability,fluorogenicity within lipid membranes,and low saturation *** successfully achieved over 500 frames of lowpower stimulated emission depletion microscopy(STED)imaging to visualize the IM dynamics,with a spatial resolution of 40 *** utilizing dual-color imaging of the IM and mtDNA,it has been uncovered that mtDNA tends to habitat at mitochondrial tips or branch points,exhibiting an overall spatially uniform ***,the dynamics of mitochondria are intricately associated with the positioning of mtDNA,and fusion consistently occurs in close proximity to mtDNA to minimize pressure during cristae *** healthy cells,>66%of the mitochondria are Class III(i.e.,mitochondria>5μm or with>12 cristae),while it dropped toling,foster the even distribution of ***,in conditions of apoptosis and ferroptosis where the cristae structure is compromised,mtDNA distribution becomes *** findings,achieved with unprecedented spatiotemporal resolution,reveal the intricate interplay between cristae and mtDNA and provide insights into the driving forces behind mtDNA distribution.

The influence of correlation delay and spectral amplitude asymmetry of the received signal on acoustic Doppler velocimetry bias with the complex covariance approach are *** the simplifying error of the velocimetry formula,the velocimetry bias is simplified to the Doppler shift measurement *** is deduced that if not considering the beam angle,the narrowband frequency measurement is unbiased while the broadband frequency measurement is biased;and if considering the beam angle,the narrowband and broadband frequency measurement are all *** correlation delay and asymmetric spectrum are important sources of the *** analysis shows that the frequency measurement bias can be reduced to 0 by eliminating the correlation delay inaccuracy or spectral *** on the above findings,the ellipse grid frequency measurement model with dual weighting of signal phase and amplitude for the bottom tracking Doppler velocimetry sonar is proposed;the theoretical analysis for the difference between the broadband and narrowband frequency measurement bias with the same pulse length is *** proposed broadband frequency measurement model is utilized to simulate the fitting curve of the Doppler shift and the frequency estimation bias,with which the actual data is *** the water tank experiment,the relative velocimetry bias decreases from 1.14%to 0.78%,and the maximum absolute value decreases from 2.83%to 1.83%;and for sea trial,the relative velocimetry bias decreases from 4.79%to 3.82%.

Regulating antioxidative stress pathways to augment oxidative stress and enhance antitumor therapy is highly desirable but very ***,we initiated a multifunctional nanoparticle to regulate the Keap1-Nrf2 antioxidative stress pathway to promote cancer cell *** OPFV-SnMP@GE11 nanoparticles were assembled by enzyme-activated OPFV-TLQ,tin mesoporphyrin(SnMP),and ***-SnMP@GE11 accumulated at tumor sites through specific targeting with ***-TLQ was specifically reduced to a photosensitizer OPFVNH2 by endocellular NAD(P)H:quinone oxidoreductase 1(NQO1).Under irradiation,OPFV-NH2 greatly produced reactive oxygen species(ROS)through a type I mechanism,which activated the Keap1-Nrf2 signal pathway and enhanced the transcription of NQO1,resulting in a continuous and explosive generation of ***,SnMP inhibited the activity of heme oxygenase-1(HO-1),further depressing antioxidative *** strategy provides insight into the regulation of the signal pathway to amplify oxidative stress,paving the way to studying the molecular mechanisms of cellular activities to enhance cancer therapy.

Regional Characteristics of Typhoon-Induced Ocean Eddies in the East China Sea

The asymmetrical structure of typhoon-induced ocean eddies（TIOEs） in the East China Sea（including the Yellow Sea）and the accompanying air–sea interaction are studied using reanalysis products. Thirteen TIOEs are analyzed and divided into three groups with the k-prototype method： Group A with typhoons passing through the central Yellow Sea; Group B with typhoons re-entering the sea from the western Yellow Sea after landing on continental China; and Group C with typhoons occurring across the eastern Yellow Sea near to the Korean Peninsula. The study region is divided into three zones（Zones Ⅰ, Ⅱ and Ⅲ） according to water depth and the Kuroshio position. The TIOEs in Group A are the strongest and could reverse part of the Kuroshio stream, while TIOEs in the other two groups are easily deformed by topography. The strong currents of the TIOEs impact on the latent heat flux distribution and upward transport, which facilitates the typhoon development. The strong divergence within the TIOEs favors an upwelling-induced cooling. A typical TIOE analysis shows that the intensity of the upwelling of TIOEs is proportional to the water depth, but its magnitude is weaker than the upwelling induced by the topography. In Zones Ⅰ and Ⅱ, the vertical dimensions of TIOEs and their strong currents are much less than the water *** shallow water Zone Ⅲ, a reversed circulation appears in the lower layer. The strong currents can lead to a greater, faster,and deeper energy transfer downwards than at the center of TIOEs.

Structured illumination microscopy(SIM)has emerged as a promising super-resolution fluorescence imaging technique,offering diverse configurations and computational strategies to mitigate phototoxicity during real-time imaging of biological *** efforts to enhance system frame rates have concentrated on processing algorithms,like rolling reconstruction or reduced frame reconstruction,or on investments in costly sCMOS cameras with accelerated row readout *** this article,we introduce an approach to elevate SIM frame rates and region of interest(ROI)coverage at the hardware level,without necessitating an upsurge in camera expenses or intricate ***,parallel acquisition-readout SIM(PAR-SIM)achieves the highest imaging speed for fluorescence imaging at currently available detector *** using the full frame-width of the detector through synchronizing the pattern generation and image exposure-readout process,we have achieved a fundamentally stupendous information spatial-temporal flux of 132.9 MPixels·s^(−1),9.6-fold that of the latest techniques,with the lowest SNR of−2.11 dB and 100 nm ***-SIM demonstrates its proficiency in successfully reconstructing diverse cellular organelles in dual excitations,even under conditions of low signal due to ultra-short exposure ***,mitochondrial dynamic tubulation and ongoing membrane fusion processes have been captured in live COS-7 cell,recorded with PAR-SIM at an impressive 408 *** posit that this novel parallel exposure-readout mode not only augments SIM pattern modulation for superior frame rates but also holds the potential to benefit other complex imaging systems with a strategic controlling approach.
