Jinchuan nickel mine is the largest nickel mine in china. Cut-and-fill mining method with high density cementing materials is used in the mine. The original mining design divided the mining operation into two steps. The first step stopped the mining rooms and the second step stopped the pillars. Because the two-step method made big trouble for finally mining pillars and strongly limited the mining speed and production, it was successfully changed to a continuous cut-and-fill method without pillars. However, the mining operation in the mine has been down to 800 m and the mining condition is getting worse and more complicated. Through systematical field investigations and 3.D FEM analysis, it is proved that the mining method without pillars is feasible for mining deeper orebodies in Jinchuan nickel mine.

In terms of mineral transformation, and chemical composition of acid-soluble component as a function of reaction time, the effect of alkaline solution on zeolite-like fly ash was studied by employing fly ash and NaOH solution as starting materials. When fly ash and 1-10 mol/L NaOH solution were processed at 100 degreesC for 24 h with 1:10 W/S ratio in a relatively closed system, powder XRD patterns of resulting products indicated the formation of various zeolites. Zeolite P crystallized early at low alkaline concentration, which was replaced then by zeolites X and A. At high concentration, hydroxy sodalite was the only new phase. Quartz, in fly ash and NaOH solution system, gradually dissolved, and mullite, however, remained stable. It was concluded that, with Al/Si and Na/Si finally reaching equilibrium in molar ratio, composition of starting mixtures affects the crystallization of zeolite from fly ash.

A slope engineering system is a complex system, in which many uncertaintiesexist, including random uncertainties and fuzzy uncertainties. Traditionally, random uncertaintieswere often considered, while fuzzy uncertainties were ignored. Therefore, fuzzy-random methodsshould he proposed. A fuzzy point estimate method was proposed by Dodagoudar, that is, consideringthe effect of fuzzy-random factors, the fuzzy-random limit state function of slopes is changed torandom interval limit state function by the lambda level cutting, then the moments of the functioncan be obtained by the Rosenblueth's method, and the stability state of slopes can be evaluated bysynthesizing a group of moments. But in Dodagoudar's method, Rosenblueth's state function iscomposed of only two kinds of combinations of parameters rather than 2~n kinds of combinations. So amodified fuzzy point estimate method is proposed by the authors, and it is used in a slopereliability analysis.

Based on the measuring data of underwater blasting vibration and theregression analysis results of these data, two formulae usually used of blasting vibration velocitywere compared. Factors that can affect blasting vibration and frequency were summarized andanalyzed. It is thought that the effect of the number of freedom face and burden direction onblasting vibration should be considered during blasting design. Based on the relevant researchresults and the regression results of these data, a formula to calculate under water blastingfrequency was put forward.

Geothermal energy has gained wide attention as a renewable alternative for mitigating greenhouse gas *** advancements in enhanced geothermal system technology have enabled the exploitation of previously inaccessible geothermal ***,the extraction of geothermal energy from deep reservoirs poses many challenges due to high‐temperature and high‐geostress *** factors can significantly impact the surrounding rock and its fracture formation.A comprehensive understanding of the thermal–hydraulic–mechanical(THM)coupling effect is crucial to the safe and efficient exploitation of geothermal *** study presented a THM coupling numerical model for the geothermal reservoir of the Yangbajing geothermal *** proposed model investigated the geothermal exploitation performance and the stress distribution within the reservoir under various combinations of geothermal wells and mass flow *** geothermal system performance was evaluated by the criteria of outlet temperature and geothermal *** results indicate that the longer distance between wells can increase the outlet temperature of production wells and improve extraction efficiency in the short *** contrast,the shorter distance between wells can reduce the heat exchange area and thus mitigate the impact on the reservoir stress.A larger mass flow rate is conducive to the production capacity enhancement of the geothermal system and,in turn causes a wider range of stress *** findings provide valuable insights into the optimization of geothermal energy extraction while considering reservoir safety and long‐term *** study deepens the understanding of the THM coupling effects in geothermal systems and provides an efficient and environmentally friendly strategy for a geothermal energy system.

The manufacturing process, characteristics, and application results of arod-like penetrative additive (the penetrative rod) were discussed. The components and functions ofthe penetrative rod were studied carefully. A large number of orthogonal combined tests were carriedout and over 100 sample molds were made. Ultimately the components were decided after carefulselection among these molds, mainly including hygroscopic major components and auxiliary *** results of on-site practical application show that such an addictive can increase the waterpenetrative ability effectively and has a remarkable effect on preventing dust production duringcoal seam excavation. The penetrating radius, the infusing velocity and the dust-preventive effectwere systematically studied.

This paper introduces model test results of water pressure in a fault, which is located in a slope and 16 different conditions. The results show that the water pressures in fault can be expressed by a linear function, which is similar to the theoretical model suggested by Hoek. Factors affecting water pressures are water level in tension crack, dip angle of fault, the height of filling materials and thickness of fault zone in sequence.

The potential for reducing greenhouse gas(GHG)emissions and energy consumption in wastewater treatment can be realized through intelligent control,with machine learning(ML)and multimodality emerging as a promising ***,we introduce an ML technique based on multimodal strategies,focusing specifically on intelligent aeration control in wastewater treatment plants(WWTPs).The generalization of the multimodal strategy is demonstrated on eight ML *** results demonstrate that this multimodal strategy significantly enhances model indicators for ML in environmental science and the efficiency of aeration control,exhibiting exceptional performance and *** random forest with visual models achieves the highest accuracy in forecasting aeration quantity in multimodal models,with a mean absolute percentage error of 4.4%and a coefficient of determination of *** testing in a full-scale plant reveals that the multimodal model can reduce operation costs by 19.8%compared to traditional fuzzy control *** potential application of these strategies in critical water science domains is *** foster accessibility and promote widespread adoption,the multimodal ML models are freely available on GitHub,thereby eliminating technical barriers and encouraging the application of artificial intelligence in urban wastewater treatment.
