Microplastics(MPs)have become a significant concern for their potential ***,the correlation between the size of plastic particles and their toxicity remains ***,we investigate the toxic effects of different sizes(80 nm,800 nm,8μm and 80μm)polystyrene MPs(PS-MPs)on the model organism Nile tilapia(Oreochromis niloticus).The results of bioluminescent imaging indicate that the 80 nm PS-MPs are more likely to invade the body.H&E staining shows severe damage on the intestinal villi and distinct hepatic steatosis in the 80 nm *** U labeling shows that the proliferation activity of intestinal and liver cells reduces significantly in the 80 nm *** gut microbiome analysis shows a severe imbalance of gut microbiota homeostasis in the 80 nm *** analysis of liver transcriptomics and metabolomics shows that the liver lipid metabolism is disordered in the 80 nm *** conclusion,this study confirms that the 80 nm PS-MPs are more likely to induce intestinal and liver *** the above lay the foundation for further study on the pathological damage of MPs to other organisms.

Precise measurement of micro-dispersion for optical devices(optical fiber,lenses,etc.)holds paramount significance across domains such as optical fiber communication and dispersion interference ***,due to its complex system,complicated process,and low reliability,the traditional dispersion measurement methods(interference,phase shift,or time delay methods)are not suitable for the accurate measurement of micro-dispersion in a wide spectral ***,we propose a spectral-interferometry-based diff-iteration(SiDi)method for achieving accurate wide-band micro-dispersion *** an optical frequency comb,based on the phase demodulation of the dispersion interference spectrum,we employ the carefully designed SiDi method to solve the dispersion curve at any position and any *** approach is proficient in precisely measuring micro-dispersion across a broadband spectrum,without the need for cumbersome wavelength scanning processes or reliance on complex high-repetition-rate combs,while enabling adjustable *** efficacy of the proposed method is validated through simulations and *** employed a chip-scaled soliton microcomb(SMC)to compute the dispersion curves of a 14 m single-mode fiber(SMF)and a 0.05 m *** to a laser interferometer or the theoretical value given by manufacturers,the average relative error of refractive index measurement for single-mode fiber(SMF)reaches 2.8×10^(-6) and for glass reaches 3.8×10^(-6).The approach ensures high precision,while maintaining a simple system structure,with realizing adjustable resolution,thereby propelling the practical implementation of precise measurement and control-dispersion.

BACKGROUND Acute appendicitis is the most common abdominal *** present,the main treatments for periappendiceal abscess include antibiotics and ***,the complications and mortality of emergency surgery are *** preferred therapy is conservative treatment with antibiotics first,ultrasound-guided puncture drainage or surgical treatment is followed when *** retrograde appendicitis therapy(ERAT)for acute uncomplicated appendicitis have been proved clinically effective,but it is rarely used in periap-pendiceal *** SUMMARY We report a patient admitted to hospital because of“right lower abdominal pain for six days”.The computerized tomography(CT)of patient showed that appendicitis with fecaliths and abscess in the *** patient was treated by CT-guided puncture and drainage of abdominal abscess combined with ERAT to remove appendiceal fecaliths,irrigation and stent *** The patient did not receive surgery because of impoverished *** pain did not recur during the follow-up *** case confirms the value of ERAT in the treatment of periappendiceal abscess.

BACKGROUND Neuroendocrine carcinoma(NEC)of the extrahepatic bile duct is very rare,and the treatment and prognosis are ***,we report the case of a middleaged female with primary large cell NEC(LCNEC)of the common hepatic duct combined with distal cholangiocarcinoma(dCCA).Additionally,after a review of the relevant literature,we summarize and compare mixed neuroendocrine-nonneuroendocrine neoplasm(MiNEN)and pure NEC to provide a reference for selecting the appropriate treatment and predicting the prognosis of this rare *** SUMMARY A 62-year-old female presented to the hospital due to recurrent abdominal pain for 2 *** examination showed mild tenderness in the upper abdomen and a positive Courvoisier *** tests showed elevated liver transaminase and carbohydrate antigen 199 *** examination revealed node dissection was performed,and hepatic duct tumours were unexpectedly found during *** suggested poorly differentiated LCNEC(approximately 0.5 cm×0.5 cm×0.4 cm),Ki-67(50%),synaptophysin+,and chromogranin A+.dCCA pathology suggested moderately differentiated *** patient eventually developed lymph node metastasis in the liver,bone,peritoneum,and abdominal cavity and died 24 months after *** sequencing methods were used to compare gene mutations in the two primary bile duct *** The prognosis of MiNEN and pure NEC alone is different,and the selection of treatment options needs to be differentiated.

DNA methylation plays a crucial role in environmental ***,using whole-genome bisulfite sequencing,we generated comprehensive genome-wide DNA methylation profiles for the high-altitude Yunnan snub-nosed monkey(Rhinopithecus bieti)and the closely related golden snub-nosed monkey(***).Our findings indicated a slight increase in overall DNA methylation levels in golden snub-nosed monkeys compared to Yunnan snub-nosed monkeys,suggesting a higher prevalence of hypermethylated genomic regions in the *** genomic methylation analysis demonstrated that genes associated with differentially methylated regions were involved in membrane fusion,vesicular formation and trafficking,hemoglobin function,cell cycle regulation,and neuronal *** results suggest that the high-altitude-related epigenetic modifications are extensive,involving a complete adaptation process from the inhibition of single Ca^(2+)channel proteins to multiple proteins collaboratively enhancing vesicular function or inhibiting cell differentiation and *** assays demonstrated that overexpression or down-regulation of candidate genes,such as SNX10,TIMELESS,and CACYBP,influenced cell viability under stress ***,this research suggests that comparing DNA methylation across closely related species can identify novel candidate genomic regions and genes associated with local adaptations,thereby deepening our understanding of the mechanisms underlying environmental adaptations.

Precipitation strengthening has been widely adopted in austenitic low-density steel owing to excellent hardened *** approach generally employs the coherentκ′carbides and non-coherent B2 *** the precipitation transformation pathway is decisive for further optimizing the microstructures under specific engineering ***,the detailed precipitation sequence of Fe-28Mn-11Al-1C-5Ni(wt%)austenitic low-density steel as well as its influence on mechanical prop-erties during aging process is systematically *** results reveal that nano-sizedκ′carbides domains(2 nm)exist in the solution-treated *** aging at 500℃for 1 h,the cuboidalκ′carbides(15-20 nm)uniformly disperse in austenite ***,after aging at 700℃for 15 min,the coarsenκ′carbides(30-35 nm)inhomogeneously distribute and align preferentially along the〈100〉***,extending the aging time to 60 min,the needle-type B2 particles replace theκ′carbides due to the enrichment of Ni elements at the phase boundaries among the austenite andκ′*** aging at 900℃,κ′carbides entirely dissolve into the austenite matrix,and the intragranular B2 particles are the sole precipitates in the austenite matrix and follow the K-S orientation relationship with *** work hardening capability seriously deteriorates due to the shearing ofκ′carbides by gliding *** the intragranular B2 particles preserve excellent work hardening rate by dislocations bow-out *** present work is meaningful for guiding the design of new generation dual-nano precipitation austenitic lightweight steel.

Objective: To evaluate the effect of manual acupuncture on endometrial blood flow parameters by three-dimensional(3D) power Doppler ultrasound in women undergoing in vitro fertilization embryo transfer(IVF-ET). Methods: Seventy patients undergoing IVF-ET were equally randomized into traditional or sham acupuncture treatment group for totally 4 days(from the day of oocyte aspiration to the day of embryo transfer) of treatment by random envelope method at the Reproductive Medicine Center and Outpatient Department of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, Tongji Hospital, Tongji Medicine College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology from January 2013 to December 2015. Patients in the traditional acupuncture group accepted traditional acupuncture methods with manual acupuncture, and Zhongji(CV3), Qihai(CV 6), Sanyinjiao(SP6), Taichong(LR 3), Tianshu(ST 25), Guilai(ST 29) and Zusanli(ST 36) were chosen. Patients at the sham acupuncture group accepted shallow acupuncture methods at 4 non-meridian points at each shoulder and upper arm. Outcome measures included endometrial ultrasonic indices such as vascularization index(VI), flow index(FI) and vascularization flow index(VFI), endometrial thickness and volume, subendometrial VI(sVI), subendometrial FI(sFI), subendometrial VFI(sVFI), implantation rate, clinical pregnancy rate, abortion rate, live birth rate and number of live births. Results: Finally, 34 patients in the traditional acupuncture group and 35 in the sham acupuncture group completed this trial. VI, FI and VFI of the traditional acupuncture group were significantly higher than those in the sham acupuncture group(P0.05). Design and experiment of anti-adhesion rototiller based on staggered double-roller scraping

In order to solve the serious problem of soil adhering blade roller in the middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River,the anti-adhesion rototiller based on staggered double-roller scraping(ARSDS)was designed by mechanical scraping *** volume equation for scraping the soil adhesion part with staggered rotary blades was *** mechanical conditions for separation of soil adhesion part from blade roller were clarified,and the contact time between rotary blade and soil during rotary tillage was *** this way,the key parameters affecting soil adhering on and separating from the blade roller were determined,which were rotational speed,cutting pitch and tillage *** spatial and temporal trajectory changes for the sidelong section edge of staggered rotary blades were analyzed,so that the rotary blade arrangement was *** the discrete element method,selecting the soil adhesion mass on the staggered blade rollers as the response value established prediction model by Box-Behnken design *** example,taking the tillage depth of 14 cm for wheat cultivation in the middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River,the optimal combination of parameters was determined to be 230 r/min and 10 cm for rotational speed and cutting pitch,*** this time,the soil adhesion mass was 4566.67 *** the meantime,the process of soil particles adhering staggered blade rollers and rotary blades scraping off the adhering soil were *** experiments have shown that the operation quality of ARSDS met the requirements of rototiller performance *** the rice stubble field of high water moisture,the soil adhesion mass was 13.455 kg and 38.215 kg for ARSDS and conventional rototiller,respectively,which indicated that ARSDS effectively reducing soil adhesion *** research results can provide technical support for the design of rototiller reducing soil adhesion in the agricultural areas of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River.
