We report a rapid method for synthesis of zeolitic imidazolate framework 8(ZIF-8)-decorated graphene oxide(GO)composites(ZGO)with good antibacterial *** ZGO composites were synthesized at room temperature with low GO to metal salt *** samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction,transmission electron microscopy,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,thermal gravimetric analysis,and surface area *** characterization results show that ZIF-8 with a size of approximately 120 nm is successfully decorated on the surface of GO sheets with the host ZIF-8 framework maintained in the synthesized composite,but there is a significant reduction in the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller surface *** antibacterial activities of the samples against Escherichia coli ATCC 11229 and Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538 as model strains of gram-negative and-positive bacteria,respectively,were determined by disc diffusion and minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC)***-1.0(1 wt%of ratio of GO to metal salt)shows the highest antibacterial activity with MIC values required to inhibit bacterial growth of *** and *** of 5 times lower than those of pristine *** antibacterial mechanisms are proposed based on field-emission scanning electron microscope images of the two bacteria after contact with the synthesized ***,owing to the simple synthesis,good stability,low chemical usage,and excellent antibacterial activity of the ZGO composites,they show great potential for application in the field of microbial contamination control.

The conjugate effects of radiation and joule heating on magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) free convection flow along a sphere with heat generation have been investigated in this paper. The governing equations are transformed into dimensionless non-similar equations by using set of suitable transformations and solved numerically by the finite difference method along with Newton’s linearization approximation. Attention has been focused on the evaluation of shear stress in terms of local skin friction and rate of heat transfer in terms of local Nusselt number, velocity as well as temperature profiles. Numerical results have been shown graphically for some selected values of parameters set consisting of heat generation parameter Q, radiation parameter Rd, magnetic parameter M, joule heating parameter J and the Prandtl number Pr.

Background: Diospyros malabarica (Desr.) Kostel, a small to medium-sized tree in the Ebenaceae family, is known as “Deshi Gab” in Bangladesh. Fever, diabetes, snake bite, diarrhea, biliousness, and ulcer ailments are all treated with the herb. This study’s goal was to examine in mouse models the antinociceptive properties of methanol extract of Diospyros malabarica leaves (MEDM). Methods: For the purpose of determining the antinociceptive activity in mice, five distinct pain models including hot plate, tail immersion, acetic acid-induced writhing, formalin and glutamate-induced nociception tests were used. The conventional medications were morphine sulphate (5 mg/kg, intraperitoneally) and diclofenac sodium (10 mg/kg, intraperitoneally). While the control group was expecting deionized water, MEDM was given orally at dosages of 200, 400, and 600 mg/kg (0.1 mL/mouse, orally). Results: According to the current research, MEDM strongly reflected the antinociceptive activity of all mouse models of chemical and heat-induced pain (*p < 0.05). 400 and 600 mg/kg demonstrated a considerable (*p < 0.05) ability to prolong the reaction of latency to pain in opposition to thermally produced nociception in hot plate and tail immersion tests. Inhibition levels in the acetic acid-induced writhing test were 11.57%, 37.77%, and 51.83%, respectively. The extract suppressed 20.78%, 45.48%, and 56.93% of licking during the initial stages of formalin-induced nociception. In the late phase, the extract showed higher rates of licking than the control group (13.14%, 50.28%, and 66.85%). The glutamate-induced nociception test was significantly (*p < 0.05) prevented by the plant extract. Compared to the control, it demonstrated an inhibition of licking of 22.85%, 47.32%, and 63.42%, respectively. Conclusions: It is evident that the plant extract has exceptional analgesic properties. This paper provides a simple hybrid design and numerical analysis of the graphene-coated fiber-optic surface plasmon resonance(SPR)biosensor for breast cancer gene-1 early onset(BRCA1)and breast cancer gene-2 early onset(BRCA2)genetic breast cancer *** specific mutations named 916delTT and 6174delT in the BRCA1 and BRCA2 are selected for numerical detection of breast *** sensor is based on the technique of the attenuated total reflection(ATR)method to detect deoxyribonucleic acid(DNA)hybridization along with individual point mutations in BRCA1 and BRCA2 *** have numerically shown that momentous changes present in the SPR angle(minimum:135%more)and surface resonance frequency(SRF)(minimum:136%more)for probe DNA with various concentrations of target DNA corresponding to a mutation of the BRCA1 and BRCA2 *** variation of the SPR angle and SRF for mismatched DNA strands is quite negligible,whereas that for complementary DNA strands is considerable,which is essential for proper detection of genetic biomarkers(916delTT and 6174delT)for early breast *** last,the effect of electric field distribution in inserting graphene layer is analyzed incorporating the finite difference time domain(FDTD)technique by using Lumerical FDTD solution commercial *** the best of our knowledge,this is the first demonstration of such a highly efficient biosensor for detecting BRCA1 and BRCA2 breast ***,the proposed biosensor opens a new window toward the detection of breast cancers.

Long Range Wide Area Network (LoRaWAN) in the Internet ofThings (IoT) domain has been the subject of interest for researchers. Thereis an increasing demand to localize these IoT devices using LoRaWAN dueto the quickly growing number of IoT devices. LoRaWAN is well suited tosupport localization applications in IoTs due to its low power consumptionand long range. Multiple approaches have been proposed to solve the localizationproblem using LoRaWAN. The Expected Signal Power (ESP) basedtrilateration algorithm has the significant potential for localization becauseESP can identify the signal’s energy below the noise floor with no additionalhardware requirements and ease of implementation. This research articleoffers the technical evaluation of the trilateration technique, its efficiency,and its limitations for the localization using LoRa ESP in a large outdoorpopulated campus environment. Additionally, experimental evaluations areconducted to determine the effects of frequency hopping, outlier removal, andincreasing the number of gateways on localization accuracy. Results obtainedfrom the experiment show the importance of calculating the path loss exponentfor every frequency to circumvent the high localization error because ofthe frequency hopping, thus improving the localization performance withoutthe need of using only a single frequency.

This research focused on the dynamic mechanical and thermal properties of woven mat jute/kenaf/jute(J/K/J)and kenaf/jute/kenaf(K/J/K)hybrid *** mechanical analysis(DMA)and Thermo-gravimetric Analysis(TGA)were used to study the effect of layering sequence on the thermal properties of kenaf/jute hybrid *** DMA results;it was found that the differences in the stacking sequence between the kenaf/jute composites do not affect their storage modulus,loss modulus and damping *** the TGA and DMA results,it has been shown that stacking sequence has given positive effect to the kenaf/jute hybrid composite compared to pure epoxy *** is because kenaf and jute fibre has increased the Tg values of the composites,thus affect the thermal *** showed that the storage modulus for kenaf/jute hybrid composites increased compared with pure epoxy composites with increasing temperature and the values of remained almost the same at glass transition temperature(Tg),the hybrid composite perhaps due to the improved fibre/matrix interface *** preliminary analysis could provide a new direction for the creation of a novel hybrid composite which offers unique properties which cannot be accomplished in a single material system.

The study of various oxidation states of chromium with Sargassum sp. is of particular interest since hexavalent chromium is reduced to trivalent chromium in an aqueous solution. In this study, a systematic density functional theory (DFT) calculations were performed to study the interactions of transition metal chromium ion with different oxidation states and spin states with the Sargassum sp. decorated with carboxylate (acetate) at the wB97XD/6-311++ G(d,p) level of theory. The structures and binding energies of chromium metal-carboxylate complexes at various oxidation states and spin states in gas phase were examined. The coordination strength of Cr(VI) with the acetate ligand was predominantly the strongest compared to the other oxidation states. In existence of concerning magnetic field, heat together with mass transfer features on mixed convective copper-water nanofluid flow through inclined plate is investigated in surrounding porous medium together with viscous dissipation. A proper set of useful similarity transforms is considered as to transform the desired governing equations into a system as ordinary differential equations which are nonlinear. The transformed equations for nanofluid flow include interrelated boundary conditions which are resolved numerically applying Runge-Kutta integration process of sixth-order together with Nachtsheim and Swigert technique. The numerical consequences are compared together with literature which was published previously and acceptable comparisons are found. The influence of significant parameters like as magnetic parameter, angle for inclination, Eckert number, fluid suction parameter, nanoparticles volume fraction, Schmidt number and permeability parameter on concerning velocity, temperature along with concentration boundary layers remains examined and calculated. Numerical consequences are presented graphically. Moreover, the impact regarding these physical parameters for engineering significance in expressions of local skin friction coefficient in addition to local Nusselt together with Sherwood numbers is correspondingly examined.
