Objective:To assess the immunopotentiality of Ayurvedic polyherbal preparations,"Saribadi" and "Anantamul Salsa".Methods: Freshly prepared BALB/c mice splenocytes were cultured with "Saribadi" or"Anantamul Salsa" treatment [doses of 0.25%, 0.50%, 0.75%, 1.00%, 1.50%, 2.00%,3.00% and 4.00%(v/v)] at 37C for 5 days. The immunoglobulin M(IgM) production and lymphocytes proliferation were determined by ELISA and MTT methods, *** contamination was assessed by treating the preparations with polymyxin ***: The doses of "Saribadi" [0.25%, 0.50%, 0.75% and 1.00%(v/v)] significantly increased IgM productions(0.966, 0.728, 0.695 and 0.615 mg/m L vs. control 0.265 mg/m L)and lymphocytes proliferation [absorbance 0.311, 0.394, 0.372 and 0.334 optical density(OD) vs. control 0.162 OD]. Similarly, the doses of "Anantamul Salsa" [0.50%, 0.75%,1.00% and 1.50%(v/v)] promoted IgM productions(0.933, 0.919, 0.917 and 0.892 mg/m L vs. control 0.502 mg/m L) and the doses of "Anantamul Salsa" [0.50%, 0.75%, 1.00%,1.50%, 2.00%, and 3.00%(v/v)] stimulated lymphocytes proliferation(absorbance 0.395,0.326, 0.440, 0.398, 0.452 and 0.355 OD vs. control 0.199 OD). The activity of "Saribadi"and "Anantamul Salsa" was not retarded by the treatment of preparations with polymyxin ***: Immunomodulatory activity of "Saribadi" and "Anantamul Salsa" was unveiled for the first time. "Saribadi" and "Anantamul Salsa" possess immunostimulating potential acting through the induction of lymphocyte proliferation and IgM *** preparations may be useful in strengthening immune responses. However, further cellular and in vivo studies are required.

Drought is a severe environmental constraint,causing a significant reduction in crop productivity across the *** acid(SA)is an important plant growth regulator that helps plants cope with the adverse effects induced by various abiotic *** current study investigated the potential effects of SA on drought tolerance efficacy in two barley(Hordeum vulgare)genotypes,namely BARI barley 5 and BARI barley ***-day-old barley seedlings were exposed to drought stress by maintaining 7.5%soil moisture content in the absence or presence of 0.5,1.0 and 1.5 mM *** exposure led to severe damage to both genotypes,as indicated by phenotypic aberrations and reduction of dry *** the other hand,the application of SA to drought-stressed plants protected both barley genotypes from the adverse effects of drought,which was reflected in the improvement of phenotypes and biomass *** supplementation improved relative water content and proline levels in drought-stressed barley genotypes,indicating the osmotic adjustment functions of SA under water-deficit *** stress induced the accumulation of reactive oxygen species(ROS),such as hydrogen peroxide(H2O2)and superoxide(O_(2)•^(−)),and the lipid peroxidation product malondialdehyde(mdA)in the leaves of barley *** supply of SA reduced oxidative damage by restricting the accumulation of ROS through the stimulation of the activities of key antioxidant enzymes,including superoxide dismutase(SOD),peroxidase(POD),catalase(CAT),ascorbate peroxidase(APX)and glutathione peroxidase(GPX).Among the three-applied concentrations of SA,0.5 mM SA exhibited better mitigating effects against drought stress considering the phenotypic performance and biochemical ***,BARI barley 5 showed better performance under drought stress than BARI barley 7 in the presence of SA ***,our results suggest that SA played a crucial role in improving water status and antioxidant

Bilayer expurgated LDPC codes with uncoded relaying

Bilayer low-density parity-check （LDPC） codes are an effective coding technique for decode-and-forward relaying, where the relay forwards extra parity bits to help the destination to decode the source bits correctly. In the existing bilayer coding scheme, these parity bits are protected by an error correcting code and assumed reliably available at the receiver. We propose an uneoded relaying scheme, where the extra parity bits are forwarded to the destination without any protection. Through density evolution analysis and simulation results, we show that our proposed scheme achieves better performance in terms of bit erasure probability than the existing relaying scheme. In addition, our proposed scheme results in lower complexity at the relay.

目的评价红花籽粕(红花Carthamus tinctorius的种子经过压榨提取红花籽油后的副产品)对小鼠的急性毒性及抗溃疡性结肠炎(ulcerative colitis,UC)作用。方法C57BL/6小鼠ig不同剂量的红花籽粕,7 d后计算脏器指数,采用苏木素-伊红(HE)染色观察肝、脾、肾组织病理变化,测定血清中肝功能、肾功能及血脂水平,以评价红花籽粕的急性毒性。建立葡聚糖硫酸钠(dextran sulphate sodium,DSS)诱导的UC小鼠模型,每天记录小鼠体质量,测定疾病活动指数(disease activity index,DAI)评分、结肠长度以及脏器指数,采用HE染色和阿利新蓝-过碘酸雪夫(AB-PAS)染色评价结肠组织病理学变化,采用qRT-PCR和Western blotting检测结肠组织中炎症和黏膜屏障相关因子表达。结果急性毒性实验中,与对照组比较,红花籽粕组小鼠脏器指数、血液生化指标没有显著差异,脏器病理切片也未见异常。红花籽粕对DSS诱导的UC小鼠具有较好的保护作用,可以显著改善体质量减轻、DAI评分升高、结肠长度缩短等临床症状(P<0.01),减轻结肠组织病理损伤,抑制肠道炎症细胞的浸润,保护杯状细胞,提高紧密连接蛋白和黏蛋白的表达(P<0.05、0.01、0.001),改善肠道屏障完整性。结论红花籽粕具有较高的安全性,且对DSS诱导的UC小鼠具有显著的治疗作用。

Development and Characterization of Calcium Based Biocomposites Using Waste Material (Calcite Stones) for Biomedical Applications

Calcium-based biocomposite materials have a pivotal role in the biomedical field with their diverse properties and applications in combating challenging medical problems. The study states the development and characterization of Calcium-based biocomposites: Hydroxyapatite (HAP), and PVA-Gelatin-HAP films. For the preparation of Calcium-based biocomposites, an unconventional source, the waste material calcite stone, was used as calcium raw material, and by the process of calcination, calcium oxide was synthesized. From calcium oxide, HAP was prepared by chemical precipitation method, which was later added in different proportions to PVA-Gelatin solution and finally dried to form biocomposite films. Then the different properties of PVA/Gelatin/HAP composite, for instance, chemical, mechanical, thermal, and swelling properties due to the incorporation of various proportions of HAP in PVA-Gelatin solution, were investigated. The characterization of the HAP was conducted by X-ray Diffraction Analysis, and the characterization of HAP-PVA-Gelatin composites was done by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy, Thermomechanical Analysis, Tensile test, Thermogravimetric Differential Thermal Analysis, and Swelling Test. The produced biocomposite films might have applications in orthopedic implants, drug delivery, bone tissue engineering, and wound healing.

Using C_(4)-C_(25)fatty acid methyl esters(C_(4)-C_(25)FAMEs)as a sample reference series,a method was developed to generalize the reference system for calculating the second dimension retention index(2I)of compounds analyzed by comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC×GC-MS).The second dimension elution temperature(2Te),second dimension unadjusted retention time(2tR),and the linear retention index(IT)of C_(4)-C_(25)FAMEs were used to form a second dimension retention index surface(2IS)via a three-dimensional surface fitting *** 2I of an analyte analyzed by GC×GC-MS was then calculated from the 2IS based on its 2tR and *** developed method was validated by calculat-ing the 2I of n-alkanes,80 compounds,and two commercially available mixtures(MegaMix A and MegaMix B).Compared to the conventional method,the developed method keeps the 2I in n-alkane retention index scale,and enables using any compounds as references to obtain a much increased separation space in the second dimension GC.

数字营销是当今众多企业和公司所采用的重要战略,提供了独特的跨地域覆盖范围和参与潜力。本文主要研究数字营销策略对孟加拉国消费者购买意愿的影响因素。通过梳理、总结相关文献,本研究进行提出假设(H1~H5)主要探讨电子邮箱营销、网络公关营销、内容营销、社交媒体营销、联盟营销因素对消费者购买意愿方面的重要性。本文的数据来源于问卷调查,收集数据之后通过SPSS软件进行分析。结果表明,社交媒体营销、电子邮箱营销、网络公关营销、内容营销因素对孟加拉国消费者的购买意愿具有重要的影响力。通过研究数字营销对孟加拉国消费者购买行为的影响,以帮助企业加深理解并针对适合孟加拉国市场背景的数字营销策略进行战略改进。这有助于数字营销活动的不断改进和完善,最终使企业能够更好地满足孟加拉国消费者不断变化的需求和偏好。Digital marketing is an important strategy adopted by many businesses and companies today, providing unique cross-regional coverage and engagement potential. This paper mainly studies the factors that influence the purchase intention of Bangladeshi consumers through digital marketing strategies. By combing and summarizing relevant literature, this study proposes hypotheses (H1~H5) to explore the importance of email marketing, online public relations marketing, content marketing, social media marketing, and affiliate marketing factors on consumer purchase intention. The data in this paper comes from a questionnaire survey, and the data is analyzed using SPSS software after collection. The results show that social media marketing, email marketing, online public relations marketing, and content marketing factors have an important influence on the purchase intention of Bangladeshi consumers. By studying the impact of digital marketing on the purchasing behavior of Bangladeshi consumers, it helps companies to deepen their understanding and make strategic improvements to digital marketing strategies that are suitable for the Bangladeshi market context. This will help the continuous improvement and perfection of digital marketing activities, and ultimately enable companies to better meet the changing needs and preferences of Bangladeshi consumers.

Invaders’ control on post-disturbance succession in coastal mangroves

Aims In recent years,coastal mangroves have been frequently affected by large disturbances(cyclones,hurricanes,flooding and tsunamis)and post-disturbance vegetation is often dominated by small stature mangrove,mangrove-associate and non-mangrove species potentially affecting ecosystem *** on the processes of mangrove vegetation development and recovery(succession)following normal and large disturbances will benefit practitioners in designing robust ecosystem management/restoration *** we propose a conceptual model of disturbance-mediated succession in *** Based on field observations and species’life history traits,we develop conceptual models of mangrove succession under normal disturbance regime and recently experienced increased frequency of large *** evaluate our conceptual models by conducting a scenario testing *** Findings We suggest two predominant processes affecting mangrove succession after disturbance:propagule limitation due to damage of seed producing mature trees and dispersal barrier resulting from biological invasion associated with large *** argue that large disturbances affect mature trees more than the small-stature non-tree(shrubs,herbs and climbers)species creating a larger propagule shortage for mangrove tree species than non-tree ***,large disturbances facilitate invasion of free-floating aquatics,which may interfere with the flow-facilitated propagule dispersal and seedling establishment of mangrove *** a scenario testing experiment,we have shown that similar levels of disturbance impact vegetation development and recovery differently depending on the presence or absence of invasive *** conclude that since biological invasion is one of the major drivers of post-disturbance mangrove succession,the dimension of biological invasion should be included in prediction,management and restoration of mangrove forests.

A VAE-Bayesian deep learning scheme for solar power generation forecasting based on dimensionality reduction

The advancements in distributed generation(DG)technologies such as solar panels have led to a widespread integration of renewable power generation in modern power ***,the intermittent nature of renewable energy poses new challenges to the network operational planning with underlying *** paper proposes a novel probabilistic scheme for renewable solar power generation forecasting by addressing data and model parameter uncertainties using Bayesian bidirectional long short-term memory(BiLSTM)neural networks,while handling the high dimensionality in weight parameters using variational auto-encoders(VAE).The forecasting performance of the proposed method is evaluated using various deterministic and probabilistic evaluation metrics such as root-mean square error(RMSE),Pinball loss,***,reconstruction error and computational time are also monitored to evaluate the dimensionality reduction using the VAE *** compared with benchmark methods,the proposed method leads to significant improvements in weight reduction,i.e.,from 76,4224 to 2,022 number of weight parameters,quantifying to 97.35%improvement in weight parameters reduction and 37.93%improvement in computational time for 6 months of solar power generation data.
