Objective:To document the clinical,biochemical and imaging phenotypes of immunocompetent patients with adrenal ***:The clinical,biochemical and radiologic data of 18 immunocompetent patients[age:45.00(39.25,56.25)years,median(IQR),m/f(16/2)]with adrenal histoplasmosis presenting in the Department of Endocrinology,BSMMU between 2014 and 2020 were retrospectively ***:All patients were seronegative for HIV infection,and 27.8%(5/18)had well controlled diabetes *** median duration of the symptoms was 6.00(IQR:4.00,11.25)*** had significant weight loss,anorexia and *** was present in 61.1%(11/18)patients and night sweat was present in 27.8%(5/18)*** and hyperpigmentation were present in 55.6%(10/18)and 66.7%(12/18)cases,*** of 18 patients presented with adrenal *** occurred in 55.6%(10/18)cases,but none had *** of 18 patients had adrenal insufficiency whereas 83.3%(15/18)had high adrenocorticotropic *** scan revealed bilateral adrenal enlargement in all cases with oval shape and regular *** were hypodense having radiodensity 21-90 hounsfield unit,and 11.1%(2/18)were heterogeneous in contrast *** had noticeable calcification whereas 1.1%(2/18)cases had central necrosis with peripheral rim *** was present in 6 cases,splenomegaly in 3 cases and 5 patients had abdominal *** were confirmed by positive fine needle aspiration cytology of adrenal ***:Adrenal histoplasmosis should be considered in the list of differentials of bilateral adrenomegaly in immunocompetent individuals even living in non-endemic areas.

Vitamin D and Its Association with Glycemic Status in Bangladeshi Adults with Newly Detected Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

Background: Very limited data are available regarding the association of vitamin D with glycemic status among adults with newly detected type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in Bangladesh. Objectives: To determine vitamin D status and its association with glycemic status in Bangladeshi adults with newly detected T2DM. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study was carried out in 102 newly detected T2DM diagnosed on the basis of the American Diabetes Association 2017 criteria (age: 42.95 ± 10.68 yrs.;m/f: 44/58) and equal number of age and sex matched controls (age: 40.43 ± 11.04 years) recruited consecutively from the Department of Endocrinology, BSMMU to measure serum vitamin D by high performance liquid chromatography method. Results: Both vitamin D deficiency (p p p 1c (r = -0.249, p = 0.011) in patients with T2DM. HbA1c was linearly associated with vitamin D (β = -0.26, p = 0.009) and severe vitamin D deficiency by binary (OR = 1.37, p = 0.003) and multinomial logistic regression (HbA1c ≥ 10%: OR = 4.25, p = 0.04) in people with T2DM after adjustment for age and BMI. Visceral adiposity mediates insulin resistance, but their association among adults with prediabetes is scarce in the literature. This study is aimed to determine the association of visceral adiposity index (VAI) with insulin resistance in adults with prediabetes. This cross-sectional study was done among 117 adults with newly detected prediabetes [m/f;23/94;mean ± SD: Age 36.30 ± 9.99 years, BMI 28.89 ± 4.35 kg/m2] based on American Diabetes Association 2018 criteria and 141 matched healthy controls [m/f: 28/113;mean ± SD: 35.30 ± 6.88 years, BMI 25.03 ± 4.58]. Waist circumference, body mass index, fasting triglyceride, HDL cholesterol, fasting blood glucose and insulin were measured in each group to calculate VAI and homeostatic model assessment of insulin resistance (HOMA-IR). Interaction between beta-lactum antibiotic drug ciprofloxacin hydrochloride(CFH)and cationic surfactant cetyltrimethylammonium bromide(CTAB)was performed conductometrically in aqueous as well as in the occurrence of different salts(NaCl,KCl as well as NH_4Cl)over the temperature range of 298.15–323.15 K at the regular interval of 5 *** drug has been suggested for the treatment of bacterial infections such as urinary tract infections and acute sinusitis.A clear critical micelle concentration(CMC)was obtained for pure CTAB as well as(CFH+CTAB)mixed *** decrease in CMC values of CTAB caused by the addition of CFH reveals the existence of the interaction between the components and therefore it is the indication of micelle formation at lower concentration of CTAB and their CMC values further decrease in attendance of salts.A nonlinear behavior in the CMC versus T plot was observed in all the *** ΔG_m^0 values are found to be negative in present study systems demonstrated the stability of the *** values of ΔH_m^0 and ΔS_m^0 reveal the existence of hydrophobic and electrostatic interactions between CFH and *** thermodynamic properties of transfer for the micellization were also evaluated and discussed in *** dynamic simulation disclosed that environment of water and salts have impact on the hydrophobic interaction between CFH and *** water and salts,CTAB adopts spherical micelle in which charged hydrophilic groups are interacted with waters whereas hydrophobic tails form the core of the *** hydrophobic core region is highly conserved and *** addition,micelle formation is more favorable in aqueous Na Cl solution than other solutions.

Objective:To evaluate the antidiabetic and antioxidant potential of Emblica officinalis(***)fruit on normal and type 2 diabetic ***:Type 2 diabetes was induced into the male Long-Evans *** rats were divided into nine groups including control groups receiving water,type 2 diabetic controls,type 2 diabetic rats treated with glibenclamide(T2GT)and type 2diabetic rats treated with aqueous extract of fruit pulp of *** were fed orally for8 weeks with a single *** was collected by cutting the tail tip on 0 and 28 days and by decapitation on 56 *** red blood cells and serum were used for evaluating different biochemical ***:Four weeks administration of aqueous extract of *** improved oral glucose tolerance in type 2 rats and after 8 weeks it caused significant(P<0.007)reduction in fasting serum glucose level compared to 0 *** decreased by 14%but there was no significant change in serum ALT,creatinine,cholesterol and insulin level in any ***,reduced erythrocyte malondialdehyde level showed no significant change(P<0.07)but reduced glutathione content was found to be increased significantly(P<0.05).Conclusions:The aqueous extract of *** has a promising antidiabetic and antioxidant properties and may be considered for further clinical studies in drug development.

Background: Thunbergia erecta (Acanthaceae) is the most abundant medicinal plant in different parts of Bangladesh where it is known as “nilghonta”. It has been used as traditional medicine for insomnia, depression and anxiety management. However, no scientific evidence of T. erecta belonging to neuropharmacological activity has been reported. The aim of present study was to investigate in vivo sedative and anxiolytic activities of methanol extract from the leaves of T. erecta in Swiss Albino mice. Methods: Sedative activity of METE was investigated using open field, hole cross and thiopental sodium-induced sleeping time test model whereas anxiolytic activity was screened by elevated-plus maze, light-dark box, hole-board and marble-burying test method in mice at 200 and 400 mg/kg doses. The acute toxicity study and phytochemical analysis of METE also carried out. Diazepam used as the positive control for the following behavioral pharmacology test. Results: METE exhibited significant (p Conclusion: The experimental result indicates T. erecta contains phytoconstituents that possess sedative and anxiolytic activity which traditionally used in insomnia, depression and anxiety management.

数字营销是当今众多企业和公司所采用的重要战略,提供了独特的跨地域覆盖范围和参与潜力。本文主要研究数字营销策略对孟加拉国消费者购买意愿的影响因素。通过梳理、总结相关文献,本研究进行提出假设(H1~H5)主要探讨电子邮箱营销、网络公关营销、内容营销、社交媒体营销、联盟营销因素对消费者购买意愿方面的重要性。本文的数据来源于问卷调查,收集数据之后通过SPSS软件进行分析。结果表明,社交媒体营销、电子邮箱营销、网络公关营销、内容营销因素对孟加拉国消费者的购买意愿具有重要的影响力。通过研究数字营销对孟加拉国消费者购买行为的影响,以帮助企业加深理解并针对适合孟加拉国市场背景的数字营销策略进行战略改进。这有助于数字营销活动的不断改进和完善,最终使企业能够更好地满足孟加拉国消费者不断变化的需求和偏好。Digital marketing is an important strategy adopted by many businesses and companies today, providing unique cross-regional coverage and engagement potential. This paper mainly studies the factors that influence the purchase intention of Bangladeshi consumers through digital marketing strategies. By combing and summarizing relevant literature, this study proposes hypotheses (H1~H5) to explore the importance of email marketing, online public relations marketing, content marketing, social media marketing, and affiliate marketing factors on consumer purchase intention. The data in this paper comes from a questionnaire survey, and the data is analyzed using SPSS software after collection. The results show that social media marketing, email marketing, online public relations marketing, and content marketing factors have an important influence on the purchase intention of Bangladeshi consumers. By studying the impact of digital marketing on the purchasing behavior of Bangladeshi consumers, it helps companies to deepen their understanding and make strategic improvements to digital marketing strategies that are suitable for the Bangladeshi market context. This will help the continuous improvement and perfection of digital marketing activities, and ultimately enable companies to better meet the changing needs and preferences of Bangladeshi consumers.

Antidepressant-Like Activity of Methanolic Extract of the Seeds of Trachysperum ammiin Swiss Albino Mice

Trachysperum ammi has been traditionally used for the treatment of neurological disorders such as depression and anxiety. To date, T. ammi has reported for its chemical constituents in different diseases condition. The traditional evidence convinced us to perform the antidepressant-like activity of methanolic extract of Trachysperum ammi (META). The antidepressant activity of META assessed by using forced swimming test (FST), tail suspension test (TST), and locomotor activity test. The seed parts of META at doses level of 50, 100 and 200 mg/kg body weight administered orally to examine the CNS stimulants activity test in mice behavioral models. Here, we reported that META significantly reduced immobility time in the FST after repeated administration of 50, 100 and 200 mg/kg to mice for 14 days. The intensity of immobility significantly reduced at all of the doses (p < 0.05) whereas, we were found the strongest effect observed at 200 mg/kg. The antidepressant-like effect of META caused the reduction (p < 0.05) in the immobility in TST of mice when orally administered with 50, 100 and 200 mg/kg for 14 days, respectively. Additionally, we were executed locomotor activity test to check the motor stimulating activity. META has employed at a dosage of 50, 100 and 200 mg/kg for 14 days, the results have found that 50 mg/kg produced the locomotion effects as similar to the control group. Interestingly, the locomotion, rearing, and defecation significantly (p < 0.05) increased at the dosage of 100 and 200 mg/kg of META. Our present findings suggest that the seed parts of Trachysperum ammi may possess antidepressant-like activity which may use as a supportive treatment to management of neurological disorders.
