A novel extended Lindley lifetime model that exhibits unimodal or decreasing density shapes as well as increasing,bathtub or unimodal-then-bathtub failure rates, named the Marshall-Olkin-Lindley (MOL) model is *** this research, using a progressive Type-II censored, various inferences of the MOL model parameters oflife are introduced. Utilizing the maximum likelihood method as a classical approach, the estimators of themodel parameters and various reliability measures are investigated. Against both symmetric and asymmetric lossfunctions, the Bayesian estimates are obtained using the Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) technique with theassumption of independent gamma priors. From the Fisher information data and the simulatedMarkovian chains,the approximate asymptotic interval and the highest posterior density interval, respectively, of each unknownparameter are calculated. Via an extensive simulated study, the usefulness of the various suggested strategies isassessedwith respect to some evaluationmetrics such as mean squared errors, mean relative absolute biases, averageconfidence lengths, and coverage percentages. Comparing the Bayesian estimations based on the asymmetric lossfunction to the traditional technique or the symmetric loss function-based Bayesian estimations, the analysisdemonstrates that asymmetric loss function-based Bayesian estimations are preferred. Finally, two data sets,representing vinyl chloride and repairable mechanical equipment items, have been investigated to support theapproaches proposed and show the superiority of the proposed model compared to the other fourteen lifetimemodels.

Thoracic Ganglioneuroma: A Rare Neural Tumor (Case Report and Literature Review)

Ganglioneuroma is an extremely rare tumor that is derived from neural crest. Many ganglioneuroma cases are detected incidentally unless they are large enough to cause compressive symptoms. We report an 18-year-old patient with posterior mediastinal ganglioneuroma which was abutting the descending aorta. The patient underwent successful resection by thoracoscopic approach and was followed up for one year with no complications. In summary, a detailed review with experts in both radiology and pathology is mandated to diagnose these tumors. Informed consent was obtained from the patient.

In this paper,we introduce a new four-parameter version of the traditional Weibull *** is able to provide seven shapes of hazard rate,including constant,decreasing,increasing,unimodal,bathtub,unimodal then bathtub,and bathtub then unimodal *** basic characteristics of the proposedmodel are studied,including moments,entropies,mean deviations and order statistics,and its parameters are estimated using the maximum likelihood *** on the asymptotic properties of the estimators,the approximate confidence intervals are also taken into consideration in addition to the point *** examine the effectiveness of the maximum likelihood estimators of the model’s parameters through simulation *** on the simulation findings,it can be concluded that the provided estimators are consistent and that asymptotic normality is a good method to get the interval *** actual data sets for COVID-19,engineering and blood cancer are used to empirically demonstrate the new distribution’s usefulness inmodeling real-world *** analysis demonstrates the proposed distribution’s ability in modeling many forms of data as opposed to some of its well-known sub-models,such as alpha powerWeibull distribution.

Objective:To investigate antioxidant potential of pentoxifylline on spermatozoa of small ruminants including rams and ***:The levels of hydrogen peroxide(H2O2)production in ram and buck spermatozoa incubated with 0(control),4 and 8 mM of pentoxifylline were measured after 45-min ***,the motility parameters of ram and buck spermatozoa incubated with 0(control),1 mM of H2O2,1 mM of H2O2 plus 4 mM of pentoxifylline,and 1 mM of H2O2 plus 8 mM of pentoxifylline were analysed.H2O2 was estimated using a fluorometric assay and spermatozoa motility characteristics were analyzed using computer aided sperm ***:Pentoxifylline significantly decreased the levels of H2O2 produced from both ram and buck spermatozoa(P<0.05),and significant lower rates of H2O2 formation were noted when 8 mM of pentoxifylline was added(P<0.05).The values of all sperm motility parameters for the two species significantly decreased after incubation with H2O2(P<0.05).In contrast,when the spermatozoa were incubated with both H2O2 and two concentrations of pentoxifylline,the motility values rose significantly compared to those incubated with H2O2 alone(P<0.05).For both ram and buck sperm samples,the rapid and static subpopulation motility parameters were the most affected categories by pentoxifylline addition compared to the medium and slow ***:Pentoxifylline possesses an antioxidant capacity proved by its ability of reducing H2O2 levels as well as by increasing motility values of stressed ***,pentoxifylline could be recommended as antioxidant additive for spermatozoa of small ruminants under stress conditions.

Esophageal cancer is mainly found in Asia and east Africa and is one of the deadliest cancers in the ***,it has not garnered much attention in the Western world due to its low incidence *** increasing amount of data indicate that esophageal cancer,particularly esophageal adenocarcinoma,has been rising by 6-fold annually and is now becoming the fastest growing cancer in the United *** rise has been associated with the increase of the obese population,as abdominal fat puts extra pressure on the stomach and causes gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD).Long standing GERD can induce esophagitis and metaplasia and,ultimately,leads to *** suppression has been the main strategy to treat GERD;however,it has not been proven to control esophageal malignancy *** fact,its side effects have triggered multiple warnings from regulatory *** high mortality and fast growth of esophageal cancer demand more vigorous efforts to look into its deeper mechanisms and come up with better therapeutic options.

Experimental investigation of control updating period monitoring in industrial PLC-based fast MPC： Application to the constrained control of a cryogenic refrigerator

In this paper, a complete industrial validation of a recently published scheme for on-line adaptation of the control updating period in model predictive control is proposed. The industrial process that serves in the validation is a cryogenic refrigerator that is used to cool the supra-conductors involved in particle accelerators or experimental nuclear reactors. Two recently predicted features are validated： the first states that it is sometimes better to use less efficient （per iteration） optimizer if the lack of efficiency is overmcompensated by an increase in the updating control frequency. The second is that for a given solver, it is worth monitoring the control updating period based on the on-line measured behavior of the cost function.

An extended state observer(ESO)-based loop filter is designed for the phase-locked loop(PLL)involved in a disturbed grid-connected converter(GeC).This ESO-based design enhances the performances and robustness of the PLL,and,therefore,improves control performances of the disturbed ***,the ESO-based LF can be applied to PLLs with extra filters for abnormal grid *** unbalanced grid is particularly taken into account for the performance analysis.A tuning approach based on the well-designed PI controller is discussed,which results in a fair comparison with conventional PI-type *** frequency domain properies are quantitatively analysed with respeet to the control stability and the noises *** frequency domain analysis and simulation results suggesti that the performances of the generated ESO-based controllers are comparable to those of the PI control at low frequency,while have better ability to atenuate high-frequency measurement *** phase margin decreases slightly,but remains ***,experimental tests are conducted with a hybrid power hardwarein-the-loop benchmark,in which balanced/unbalanced cases are both *** obtained results prove the effectiveness of ESO based PLLs when applied to the disturbed GeC.

In this paper,we exploit our prior successful synthesis of MOF-199 single crystals using the reaction-diffusion framework(RDF),to synthesize multivariate metal-organic frameworks(MTV-MOFs)version with enhanced *** MTV-MOFs are synthesized by creating defects within the MOF-199 crystal structure by integrating organic linkers entailing different functional ***,5-aminoisophthalic acid(NH_(2)-BDC)and 5-hydroxyisophthalic acid(OH-BDC)are separately mixed with 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid(BTC)in three different starting ratios of X-BDC:BTC(1:3,1:1)and(3:1).The effects of this linker on the morphology of the synthesized MTV-MOFs,their thermal stability,and their surface area are *** extent of the incorporation of the linkers in the framework is elucidated via^(1)H-NMR spectroscopy and it is shown that the incorporation varies as a function of the location along the tubular reactor,a characteristic of *** enhanced properties of the synthesized MTV-MOFs are further demonstrated by measuring its adsorptive capability for methylene blue(MB)and rhodamine B(Rh B)in aqueous solution,and compared with that of the as-synthesized *** kinetic and thermodynamic studies reveal that MTV-MOFs with the ratio of X-BDC:BTC(1:1)exhibit the best uptakes of MB(263 mg/g)for X=OH and Rh B(156 mg/g)for X=NH_(2).The adsorbents are also easily regenerated for three consecutive cycles without losing their *** finally demonstrate that MTV-MOFs can be designed to tune the dye removal selectivity and enhance the removal capacity of both MB and RhB in a binary aqueous solution of these dyes.
