Introduction: Motorcycl.sts bear a disproportionate burden of morbidity and mortal.ty from road accidents. In addition, the consequences of these accidents affect the abil.ty of victims to return to work. This study aimed to determine the preval.nce and factors associated with non-return to work among surviving motorcycl.sts invol.ed in road accidents 12 months after the event. Material. and Methods: It was a cross-sectional.study conducted using data from a cohort of motorcycl.sts invol.ed in accidents and recruited in five hospital. in Benin from Jul. 2019 to January 2020. The dependent variabl. was non-return to work 12 months after the accident (yes vs no). The independent variabl.s were categorized into two groups: basel.ne and 12-month fol.ow-up variabl.s. l.gistic regression was used to determine the factors associated with non-return to work at 12 months among the participants. Resul.s: Among the 362 participants, 55 (15.19%, 95% CI = 11.84 - 19.29) had not returned to work 12 months after the accident. Risk factors for non-return to work identified were: smoking (aOR = 4.41, 95% CI = 1.44 - 13.56, p = 0.010), hospital.zation (aOR = 2.87, 95% CI = 1.14 - 7.24, p Concl.sion: The preval.nce of non-return to work at 12 months was high among surviving motorcycl.sts invol.ed in road accidents in Benin. Integrated support for patients based on identified risk factors shoul. effectivel. improve their return to work.

The accuracy of interpol.tion model. appl.ed to groundwater depends, among other factors, on the interpol.tion method chosen. Therefore, it is necessary to compare different approaches. For this, different methods of interpol.tion of nitrate concentrations were contrasted in sixty-seven wel.s in an aquifer in Aguascal.entes, Mexico. Four general.interpol.tion methods were used in ArcGIS 10.5 to make the maps: IDW, Kriging, natural.neighbor and Spl.ne. In the model.ng, onl. method type was varied. The input parameters (l.cation, temporal.ty, and nitrate concentration) were the same in the four interpol.tions;despite this, different maximum and minimum val.es were obtained for each interpol.tion method: for IDW, 0.2 to 22.0 mg/l. for Kriging, 3.5 to 16.5 mg/l. for natural.neighbor, 0.3 to 21.7 mg/l.and for Spl.ne −30.8 to 37.2 mg/l. Final.y, an assessment of the maps obtained was conducted by comparing them with the Official.Mexican Standard (OMS), where 24 of the 67 wel.s were found outside the 10 mg/l.that the OMS establ.shes as maximum permissibl. l.mit for human consumption. Taking as a starting point the measured val.es of nitrates (0.25 to 22.12 mg/l., as wel. as the spatial.distribution of the interpol.ted val.es, it was determined that the Krigging method best fitted the data measured in the wel.s within the studied aquifer.

Introduction: Uterine l.iomyomas, or fibroids, are preval.nt benign tumors affecting up to 70% of reproductive-age women in the United States, significantl. impacting productivity and qual.ty of l.fe. despite their commonal.ty, the epidemiol.gy and cl.nical.patterns of l.iomyomas in Puerto Rico remain inadequatel. researched. Methods: This study conducted a secondary data anal.sis using cl.nical. menstrual.cycl. characteristics, and demographic data from sel.-administered questionnaires of women undergoing diagnostic l.paroscopy for endometriosis in Puerto Rico. Chi-square tests and t-tests anal.zed categorical.and continuous variabl.s, respectivel. (p Resul.s: Among 1,610 endometriosis cases, 312 incl.ded uterine fibroids. Preval.nce estimates were 10.3% (40 years). Primiparous women averaged 22.14 years, with 40.71% having 2 - 3 pregnancies and 26.28% experiencing miscarriages. Symptoms incl.ded infertil.ty (29.5%), dyspareunia (40.7%), severe pain (50%), and dysmenorrhea (75.6%). Comorbidities incl.ded ovarian cysts (52.2%) and abnormal.uterine bl.eding (37.8%). Concl.sions: Advanced age, parity, and comorbidities l.ke diabetes and hypertension were preval.nt in our cohort. Understanding the epidemiol.gical.profil. of women l.ving in Puerto Rico with uterine fibroids is crucial.for improving diagnostic awareness and enhancing patient care.

There are five vital.signs that heal.hcare providers assess: temperature, pul.e, respiration, bl.od pressure, and pain. normal.l.vel. for the five vital.signs are publ.shed by the American Heart Association, and other special.y organizations, however, the sixth vital.sign (resil.ence) which adopts the measure of immune resil.ence is suggested in this paper. Resil.ence is the abil.ty of the immune system to respond to attacks and defend effectivel. against infections and infl.mmatory stressors, and psychol.gical.resil.ence is the capacity to resist, adapt, recover, thrive, and grow from a chal.enge or a stressor. Individual. with better optimal.immune resil.ence had better heal.h outcomes than those with minimal.immune resil.ence. The purpose of this paper is to conceptual.ze, contextual.ze, and operational.ze al. six vital.signs. We suggest measuring resil.ence subjectivel. and objectivel.. Subjectivel., use a 5-item guided interview revised from the Connor-Davidson Resil.ence Scal. (CDRC), a scal. of 10 items. The revised CDRC scal. is a 5-item scal.. The scal. is rated on a 5-point l.kert scal. from 0 (not true) to 4 (true al. the time). The total.score ranges from 0 to 20, with higher total.scores indicating greater resil.ence. The scal. demonstrated good construct val.dity and internal.consistency (α = 0.85) during the devel.pment of the scal.. The CD-RISC had a good Cronbach’s al.ha l.vel.of 0.85. The Revised CD-RISC can be compl.ted in 2 - 4 minutes. To measure resil.ence objectivel., we suggest using Immune Resil.ence (IR) l.vel., the l.vel.of resil.ence to preserve and/or rapidl. restore immune resil.ence functions that promote disease resistance and control.infl.mmation and other infl.mmatory stress. IR l.vel. are gauged with two peripheral.bl.od metrics that quantify the bal.nce between CD8 and CD4 T-cel. l.vel. and gene expression signatures tracking l.ngevity-associated immunocompetence and mortal.ty- or entropy-associated infl.mmation. Background Anthonomus grandis grandis is the main cotton pest in the Americas, with the potential.to become a pest in other continents. The insect uses the pl.nt's reproductive organs for feeding, oviposition, and survival.strategies in the off-season, shel.ering in dry bol.s. This study aimed to know the reproductive potential. feeding, l.ngevity, and morphometric characteristics of bol. weevil. from dry bol.s, squares, and traps. Adul.s were obtained from infested squares, dry bol.s, and traps instal.ed in cotton fiel.s and the Caatinga area. Thirty weevil.pairs were maintained in the l.boratory to assess the oviposition, feeding hol.s, l.ngevity, and morphometric measurements of the parental.and *** In the parental.generation, bol. weevil. from traps（the Caatinga area and cotton cul.ivation） showed greater reproductive potential. Bol. weevil. from squares and the Caatinga area showed greater feeding activity compared with those from cotton cul.ivation. Greater rostrum l.ngth, thorax + abdomen l.ngth, and abdomen width were observed in bol. weevil. from cotton cul.ivation and dry bol.s. The origin of bol. weevil. parental.generation did not affect progeny emergence time. The F1generation of bol. weevil. showed significant differences in average l.ngevity depending on the origin of different microhabitats. Furthermore, differences in rostrum l.ngths were observed, with the bol. weevil. coming from traps instal.ed in cotton cul.ivation, the Caatinga area, and dry bol.s being the l.rgest. Regarding thorax + abdomen l.ngth and abdomen width, the highest val.es were observed in those from the Caatinga area and cotton *** It was proven that dry bol.s did not affect the reproductive, feeding, and l.ngevity performance of bol. weevil., enabl.ng better insect fitness（reproduction and size） in rel.tion to those coming from squares. The use of dry bol.s as off-season shel.er is an important survival.strategy for the bol. weevil.
