This paper is the second of a series that describes some of the main dataset resources presently shared through the GEOSS Platform. The GEOSS Platform was created as the technological tool to implement interoperability among the Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS);it is a brokering infrastructure that presently brokers more than 190 autonomous data catalogs and information systems. This paper is focused on the analysis of the NextGEOSS datasets describing the data publishing process from NextGEOSS to the GEOSS platform. In particular, both the administrative registration and the technical registration were taken into consideration. One of the most important data shared by the GEOSS Platform are the NextGEOSS datasets: the present study provides some insights in terms of GEOSS user searches for NextGEOSS data.

Contrast enhanced ultrasound(CEUS)has been widely implemented in clinical practice because of the enormous quantity of information it provides,along with its low cost,reproducibility,minimal invasiveness,and safety of the secondgeneration ultrasound contrast *** overcome the limitation of CEUS given by the subjective evaluation of the contrast enhancement behaviour,quantitative analysis of contrast kinetics with generation of time-intensity curves has been introduced in recent *** quantification of perfusion parameters[named as dynamic-CEUS(D-CEUS)]has several applications in gastrointestinal neoplastic and inflammatory ***,the limited availability of large studies and the heterogeneity of the technologies employed have precluded the standardisation of D-CEUS,which potentially represents a valuable tool for clinical practice in management of gastrointestinal *** this article,we reviewed the evidence exploring the application of D-CEUS in gastrointestinal diseases,with a special focus on liver,pancreas,and inflammatory bowel diseases.

Advancements in neuroscience research present opportunities and challenges,requiring substantial resources and *** address this,we describe here“Poke And delayed Drink Intertemporal Choice Task(POKE-ADDICT)”,an open-source,versatile,and cost-effective apparatus for intertemporal choice testing in *** allows quantification of delay discounting(DD),a cross-species phenomenon observed in decision making which provides valuable insights into higher-order cognitive *** DD,the subjective value of a delayed reward is reduced as a function of the delay for its *** our apparatus,we implemented an effective intertemporal choice paradigm for the quantification of DD based on an adjusting delayed amount(ADA)algorithm using mango juice as a *** paradigm requires limited training,a few 3D-printed parts and inexpensive electrical components,including a Raspberry Pi control ***,it is compatible with several in vivo procedures and the use of nose pokes instead of levers allows for faster task *** the main application described here,the apparatus can be further extended to implement other behavioral tests and protocols,including standard operant *** conclusion,we describe a versatile and cost-effective design based on Raspberry Pi that can support research in animal behavior,decision making and,more specifically,delay discounting.

To the Editor: There are still some open issues about the systematization of the knowledge of the branching of the left portal vein(LPV) and the division in anatomo-functional units within the left liver. The first controversial topic concerns the division of S4 in subsegments. The Brisbane 20 0 0 system of Nomenclature of Hepatic Anatomy and Resections(B20 0 0) [1] does not mention such subdivision, but in literature this is still a matter of discussion.

在欧洲乃至全球范围内,乡村和偏远地区的小镇在迈向可持续发展目标的过程中面临巨大压力和挑战。在过去的几十年,山区的村庄和小镇呈现出人口明显减少和经济衰退的趋势。新冠疫情期间,随着近郊旅游的兴起,小镇迎来新的发展机遇,一些小镇的历史中心得以完整保留,当地的传统生活方式为人们提供了一种新的可能性,这为如何在山区小镇研究与应用全新的保护与振兴政策创造了条件。为了推动这些历史中心的战略性发展,需要制定新的保护政策为未来工作提供思路、指明方向,这需要跨学科的合作。数字技术在调查和记录建筑遗产方面发挥了关键作用。本文以意大利北部阿尔卑斯山区奥索拉山谷的沃戈尼亚历史中心为例,介绍激光扫描、无人机摄影、360°全景摄影等数字测绘技术的应用。采用跨学科的方法,通过历史分析、先进测绘技术、非破坏性检测、材料与病害分布绘制等方式对主街附近的不同建筑进行研究。以意大利设计历史中心保护方案的基本原则为标准,展示所取得的知识性成果,强调城市公共与私人建筑的关系对建筑遗产未来的使用与提升所具有的独特价值。

In recent years,the traditional concept that cirrhosis-related coagulopathy is an acquired bleeding disorder has ***,it is known that in cirrhotic patients,the hemostatic system is rebalanced,which involves coagulation factors,fibrinolysis and *** alterations disrupt homeostasis,skewing it toward a procoagulant state,which can lead to thromboembolic manifestations,especially when hemodynamic and endothelial factors co-occur,such as in the portal vein system in *** vein thrombosis is a common complication of advanced liver cirrhosis that negatively affects the course of liver disease,prognosis of cirrhotic patients and success of liver *** is still debated whether portal vein thrombosis is the cause or the consequence of worsening liver *** therapy is the mainstay treatment for acute symptomatic portal vein *** chronic portal vein thrombosis,the role of anticoagulant therapy is still *** anticoagulants,vitamin K antagonists and low-molecular-weight heparin are standard-of-care treatments for portal vein *** the last ten years,direct oral anticoagulants have been approved for the prophylaxis and treatment of many thromboembolicrelated diseases,but evidence on their use in cirrhotic patients is very *** aim of this review was to summarize the evidence about the safety and effectiveness of direct oral anticoagulants for treating portal vein thrombosis in cirrhotic patients.

Tectonically asymmetric Earth:From net rotation to polarized westward drift of the lithosphere

The possibility of a net rotation of the lithosphere with respect to the mantle is generally overlooked since it depends on the adopted mantle reference frames, which are arbitrary. We review the geological and geophysical signatures of plate boundaries, and show that they are markedly asymmetric worldwide. Then we compare available reference frames of plate motions relative to the mantle and discuss which is at best able to fit global tectonic data. Different assumptions about the depths of hotspot sources （below or within the asthenosphere, which decouples the lithosphere from the deep mantle） predict different rates of net rotation of the lithosphere relative to the mantle. The widely used no-net-rotation （NNR） reference frame, and low （〈0.2°-0.4°/Ma） net rotation rates （deep hotspots source） predict an average net rotation in which some plates move eastward relative to the mantle （e.g., Nazca）. With fast （〉1°/Ma） net rotation （shallow hotspots source）, all plates, albeit at different velocity, move westerly along a curved trajectory, with a tectonic equator tilted about 30° relative to the geographic equator. This is consistent with the observed global tectonic asymmetries.

The response of cells during spreading and motility is dictated by several multi-physics events,which are triggered by extracellular cues and occur at different *** this sake,it is not completely appropriate to provide a cell with classical notions of the mechanics of materials,as for“rheology”or“mechanical response”.Rather,a cell is an alive system with constituents that show a reproducible response,as for the contractility for single stress fibers or for the mechanical response of a biopolymer actin network,but that reorganize in response to external cues in a non-exactly-predictable and reproducible *** of such complexity,in this note we aim at formulating a multi-physics framework for modeling cells spreading and motility,accounting for the relocation of proteins on advecting lipid membranes.
