A process for purifying aqueous solutions containing heavy and toxic metals such as chromium（Cr） has been investigated. One of the extremely harmful pollutants in rivers and seawater is the heavy metal ions due to their direct impacts on human, animals and plants are hexavalent Cr（Ⅵ）. Consequently, highly sensitive sensor to detect Cr is essential. Surface plasmon resonance（SPR） technique has attracted huge research interest in detecting heavy metals specifically. In this study, three types of prism-based SPR sensor, gold（Au）/silver（Ag）, Au/polyaniline（PANI） and Au/titanium dioxide（TiO2） nanostructured films, are investigated as potential sensing material to detect the presence of Cr（Ⅵ） ions in water. The base Au layer with thickness of 48.3 nm is deposited on a glass slide for all sensors. For Au/Ag, Au/PANI nanofibers and Au/TiO2sensor films, the Cr（Ⅵ） concentration is varied from 1 ppm to 15 ppm with sensitivity of 0.270 °ppm-1, 0.082 °ppm-1and 0.039 °ppm-1, respectively. Based on these results, the Au/PANI nanofibers are the most sensitive to Cr（Ⅵ） among the tested sensing materials.

The ecosystem services provided by the Bangladesh Sundarbans contribute in various sectors especially to the livelihood of the surrounding peoples, but they are often overlooked in the valuation process. This study investigates the significance of ecosystem services on peoples＇ lives and how these services are affected by climate change and other factors. here an economic valuation framework was used to list the ecosystem services provided by this mangrove forest. Direct uses included timber, gol- pata （Nypa fruticans）, honey, beeswax, fish, shrimp larvae and tourism. Indirect uses included carbon storage, protection from cyclones and tidal surges, breeding and nursery grounds for the aquatic species, and biodiversity conservation. This work also found that the ecosystem services were diminished by fresh water flow reduction, overharvesting, sea level rise, salinity increase, poaching, and climate change. In the present context and future scenario, sea level rise will be an important contributor to changes in ecosystem services. But because many factors impact sea level rise, the impact of climate change takes on less importance than many other causes of ecosystem service degradation in the Bangladesh Sundarbans.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)and type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)are two disease conditions for which obesity is a risk factor.^(1)Due to the close relationship between the three pathologies,researchers frequently use the same mouse models to identify the underlying processes of obesity,NAFLD,and *** instance,leptin(Lep)-null(ob/ob)and leptin receptor(Lepr)-deficient(db/db)mice spontaneously develop NAFLD and show different phenotypes of extreme obesity and diabetes,respectively.

The effects of a harmonically exciting monopole source on an infinitely long cylindrical cavity embedded entirely within a fluid-saturated poroelastic formation of infinite extent are examined theoretically. It is assumed that the source is located outside the cavity at a specified distance from the borehole axis. The magnitudes of the hoop and radial stresses beside the pore pressures exerted on the interface and inside the porous medium surrounding the borehole are calculated and discussed. Biot's poroelastic modeling along with three types of boundary conditions for the cylindrical interface including the ideal fluid, empty borehole, and rigid inclusion with a hard boundary is employed for the analysis. Utilizing a proper translational addition theorem for expressing the incident spherical wave in terms of cylindrical wave expansions, the proposed boundary conditions at the interface are satisfied. Stresses are formulated by means of wave potential functions in a three-dimensional(3D) manner. The effects of the frequency and the radial distance between the source and borehole on the induced stresses are examined for the first cylindrical modes over frequency spectra. Two permeability conditions for the interface and three types of soils for the porous formation are considered throughout the analysis. To give an overall outline of the study, a numerical example is presented. The results clearly indicate that the distance is a key parameter and has considerable effects on the induced stress values. In addition, the interface permeability condition and soil characteristics play an important role in determining the dynamic response of the borehole. Finally,the obtained results are compared with the relevant analyses existing in the literature for some limit cases, and good agreement is achieved.

海运业对国际贸易和经济增长至关重要,其中80%的全球贸易是由海洋运输的。但是,船舶数量的增加导致越来越多的海运事故的发生,造成人员伤亡,经济和环境破坏。为了预防事故的发生,并协助搜查和救援,船舶轨迹预测变得越来越重要。本研究中,提出两种方法来解决船舶轨迹预测问题,分别是新的Transformer网络架构和新的聚类增强方法。1)提出新的Transformer网络架构,结合自动识别系统(AIS)数据进行水下机器人(AUVs)的轨迹预测任务。提出一个综合性实验来验证本文提出的网络的性能。将实验结果与其他最新的预测模型进行比较,以预测固定和可变输入和输出长度的AUV的未来位置。结果表明,该Transformer模型的性能显著超过其他模型。2)提出一种解决路点导航问题的新方法。将数据聚类技术引入常规轨迹预测管道。利用DBSCAN算法来识别航点模式,然后再将其送入NN模型。将这种技术应用于轻量级的LSTM模型,用于航点导航。该聚类方法有助于将AIS数据中的模式和相似的轨迹融合在一起识别,从而增强LSTM模型准确预测未来位置的能力。该聚类方法还有助于识别AIS数据中的类似的轨迹,这又可以增强LSTM模型准确预测未来位置的能力。

Movement Optimization for a Cyborg Cockroach in a Bounded Space Incorporating Machine Learning

Cockroaches can traverse unknown obstacle-terrain,self-right on the ground and climb above the ***,they have limited motion,such as less activity in light/bright areas and lower ***,the movement of the cyborg cockroaches needs to be optimized for the utilization of the cockroach as a cyborg *** study aims to increase the search rate and distance traveled by cockroaches and reduce the stop time by utilizing automatic stimulation from machine *** machine learning classifiers were applied to classify the offline binary classification of the cockroach movement based on the inertial measuring unit input *** time-domain features were chosen and applied as the classifier *** highest performance of the classifiers was implemented for the online motion recognition and automatic stimulation provided to the cerci to trigger the free walking motion of the cockroach.A user interface was developed to run multiple computational processes simultaneously in real time such as computer vision,data acquisition,feature extraction,automatic stimulation,and machine learning using a multithreading *** the basis of the experiment results,we successfully demonstrated that the movement performance of cockroaches was importantly improved by applying machine learning classification and automatic *** system increased the search rate and traveled distance by 68%and 70%,respectively,while the stop time was reduced by 78%.
