Geothermal energy from deep underground (or geological) formations,with or without its combination with carbon capture and storage (CCS),can be a key technology to mitigate anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions and meet the 2050 net‐zero carbon emission *** resources in low‐permeability and medium‐and high‐temperature reservoirs in sedimentary sequence require hydraulic stimulation for enhanced geothermal systems (EGS).However,fluid migration for geothermal energy in EGS or with potential CO_(2) storage in a CO_(2)‐EGS are both dependent on the in situ flow pathway network created by induced fluid *** thermo‐mechanical interactions can be complex and induce varying alterations in the mechanical response when the working fluid is water (in EGS) or supercritical CO_(2)(in CO_(2)‐EGS),which could impact the geothermal energy recovery from geological ***,there is a need for a deeper understanding of the heat extraction process in EGS and CO_(2)‐*** study presents a systematic review of the effects of changes in mechanical properties and behavior of deep underground rocks on the induced flow pathway and heat recovery in EGS reservoirs with or without CO_(2) storage in CO_(2) ‐***,we proposed waterless‐stimulated EGS as an alternative approach to improve heat energy extraction in ***,based on the results of our literature review and proposed ideas,we recommend promising areas of investigation that may provide more insights into understanding geothermo‐mechanics to further stimulate new research studies and accelerate the development of geothermal energy as a viable clean energy technology.

The use of directives in communicating the nature of the pandemic and reference to social experiences were promoted using images on social media *** images or memes are used to create awareness and reinforce the criteria for safety during the *** studies on internet memes have concentrated on humor generation,speaker-hearer shared knowledge,neologism,and multimodality among others,with insufficient attention paid to the use of directives and references in such coronavirus-motivated *** paper,therefore,examines how directives and references are employed in conveying expected social responsibilities through coronavirus-motivated internet memes in Nigeria and other socio-cultural *** data,one hundred coronavirus-motivated memes were purposively selected from Facebook,and eight representative memes were subjected to pragmatic analysis using aspects of Jacob Mey’s(***:An introduction,2nd ***:Blackwell Publishing)pragmatic acts theory to unearth insights from *** paper observes that the various spheres of life that are relatable to an online audience help to express what the pandemic is about and enhance the meaning of the pandemic with the context of the use of the memes,giving clearer perspectives on the *** and references are useful tools for conveying social responsibilities to online audience.

rocks can deform at varying scales(nano-,micro-and macro-scale)under different temperatures,pressures,stresses,and time ***-core scale(nano-to micro-scale)changes in rock properties can influence local(fine-scale)and bulk scale(macro-scale)rock ***,there is a lack of comprehensive knowledge on how rock deformation at sub-core scale(i.e.,nano-to micro-scale)is assessed and its potential to accurately predicte and estimate the macro-scale mechanical behavior of *** study presents a comprehensive and forward-leaning review of the assessment of nano-scale and micro-scale rock mechanical parameters,their timedependent behavior,and potential applications in rock ***,we highlighted the key findings based on experimental and numerical methods for evaluating rock mechanical parameters,and presented the limitations of these ***,we discussed the reliability of sub-core scale mechanical assessments in predicting macromechanical(larger-scale)properties and the behavior of rocks in ***,we offer recommendations to advance investigations focused on rock mechanical assessments at these smaller scales and provide a more accurate characterization at the sub-core scale.

The study of the relationship between animal stress and personality for free-ranging animals is limited and provides contrasting *** perception of stressors by an individual may vary due to its personality,and certain personality traits may help individuals to better cope with *** non-invasive infrared thermography(IrT),we investigated the link between physiological and behavioral components expressed during an acute stress event by free-ranging Fremont’s squirrels(Tamiasciurus fremonti).We expected that,during the acute stress event of being approached by the researcher,individuals that showed a fast pace-of-life syndrome(bolder,more active,and less social/more aggressive)based on an arena test would exhibit stronger sympathetic-adrenal-medullary system reactivity showing a more intense stress-induced hyperthermia(high core body temperature and low peripheral temperature)than individuals with a slow pace of life(shy,less active,and more social).We successfully employed IrT technology to images of Fremont’s squirrels with identification of the individuals’body parts(eye,nose,ear,hind foot).However,we found no support for our ***’body surface temperatures told us more about a squirrel’s external environment and less about the thermal state of the body in that environment following a stressful *** studies need to assess how to make IrT effective and efficient in the field and improve its performance in studying the relationships between physiology and personality in wildlife.

Cervical cancer is a severe threat to women's health. The majority of cervical cancer cases occur in developing countries. The WHO has proposed screening 70% of women with high-performance tests between 35 and 45 years of age by 2030 to accelerate the elimination of cervical cancer. Due to an inadequate health infrastructure and organized screening strategy, most low-and middleincome countries are still far from achieving this goal. As part of the efforts to increase performance of cervical cancer screening, it is necessary to investigate the most accurate, efficient, and effective methods and strategies. Artificial intelligence(AI) is rapidly expanding its application in cancer screening and diagnosis and deep learning algorithms have offered human-like interpretation capabilities on various medical images. AI will soon have a more significant role in improving the implementation of cervical cancer screening, management, and follow-up. This review aims to report the state of AI with respect to cervical cancer screening. We discuss the primary AI applications and development of AI technology for image recognition applied to detection of abnormal cytology and cervical neoplastic diseases, as well as the challenges that we anticipate in the future.

Enviromics refers to the characterization of micro-and macroenvironments based on large-scale environmental *** providing genotypic recommendations with predictive extrapolation at a site-specific level,enviromics could inform plant breeding decisions across varying conditions and anticipate productivity in a changing ***-based integration of statistics,envirotyping(i.e.,determining environmental factors),and remote sensing could help unravel the complex interplay of genetics,environment,and *** support this goal,exhaustive envirotyping to generate precise environmental profiles would significantly improve predictions of genotype performance and genetic gain in ***,informatics management platforms aggregate diverse environmental datasets obtained using optical,thermal,radar,and light detection and ranging(LiDAr)sensors that capture detailed information about vegetation,surface structure,and *** wealth of information,coupled with freely available climate data,fuels innovative enviromics *** enviromics holds immense potential for breeding,a few obstacles remain,such as the need for(1)integrative methodologies to systematically collect field data to scale and expand observations across the landscape with satellite data;(2)state-of-the-art AI models for data integration,simulation,and prediction;(3)cyberinfrastructure for processing big data across scales and providing seamless interfaces to deliver forecasts to stakeholders;and(4)collaboration and data sharing among farmers,breeders,physiologists,geoinformatics experts,and programmers across research *** these challenges is essential for leveraging the full potential of big data captured by satellites to transform 21st century agriculture and crop improvement through enviromics.

本文利用高里德堡态氢原子飞行时间探测技术,研究了2-甲基烯丙基自由基的3p里德堡态在解离光波长范围226~244 nm下的光解离动力学过程.2-甲基烯丙基自由基由3-氯-2-甲基-1-丙烯前体在193nm光解作用下产生.在226~244nm区间内,氢原子光解碎片谱随着波长的减小而信号强度增加。氢原子产物的飞行时间谱呈现双模结构.主要产物通道(占比~98%)的平动能峰值在~7kcal/mol,在226~244nm范围内氢原子和对应解离碎片平动能平均值为总过剩能量的(fT)~0.18,并且解离产物角分布呈各向同性.这些低平动能,角分布各向同性的产物来自经由电子激发态内转换形成的高度振动激发的热2-甲基烯丙基的统计单分子分解过程,其形成亚甲基环丙烷+氢原子,次要产物通道(占~2%)具有较大的平动能,峰值约为50kcal/mol,(fT)≈0.63且产物呈各向异性角分布(β≈-0.2).这些高平动能、各向异性的产物是非统计性的,推测是通过3p里德堡态或基态的排斥势能面部分直接失去一个氢原子生成1,3-丁二烯十氢原子.
