The novel synergistic mixture of.TBP and Cyanex-272 is used as the extractant in the hollow f.ber renewal liquid membrane(Hf.LM) technique f.r Zr/Hf.*** ef.ects of.the chemical and operational parameters such as HNO3 concentration in the donor phase,NH4 f.concentration in the acceptor phase,Cyanex-272 and TBP concentration in the liquid membrane phase,the lumen and shell side f.ow rates,and aqueous/organic volume ratio on the mass transf.r and separation perf.rmance of.Hf.LM method were *** obtained results reveal the intensif.cation potential of.proposed Hf.LM technique f.r selective extraction of.Zr over Hf.with separation f.ctor higher than *** Hf.LM method provides two times higher mass transf.r f.ux in comparison with hollow f.ber supported liquid membrane(Hf.LM).Also,the Hf.LM method shows satisf.ctory stability f.r 700 min of.continuous *** Zr ion transport through the LM phase f.llows the coupled co-transport mechanism and the dif.usion in the renewal layer is recognized as the rate-controlling step in the Hf.LM ***,the Zr mass transf.r coef.icient and molar f.ux in the Hf.LM method are calculated in the range of.1×10^-8 to 8.4×10^-7 m·s^-1 and 4.9×10^-6 to 20.1×10^-6 mol·m^-2·s^-1,respectively.

The present study investigates the association between subjective wellness symptoms,and categorical point-of.care(POC)blood biomarkers of.the f.ee oxygen radical test(f.RT),and systemic inf.ammation through high sensitivity C-reactive protein(Hs-CRP),in English Premier League *** f.om 38 male prof.ssional elite athletes(Mean Age=25.8,SD=4.4)f.om the English Premier League were included in the study,with a total of.674 individual testing records collected over an entire Premier League season.A player wellness questionnaire,along with f.sted and rested point-of.care blood biomarker testing were collected weekly across the *** wellness questionnaire collected subjective symptoms of.illness and f.tigue,while f.RT and Hs-CRP were assessed through point-of.care analysis to highlight periods of.excessive hydroperoxide production and systemic *** a chi square goodness of.f.t model,results showed that there was a signif.cant association between the f.equency of.symptoms logged and categorical POC blood biomarker data of.f.RT and HsCRP(Pf.the records demonstrating normal levels of.Hs-CRP and f.RT concentrations,27%logged symptoms with an average of.1.5 symptoms reported per answered ***,excessive biomarker values demonstrated 55%of.records having symptoms logged,averaging 2.4 symptoms reported per record.

The behavior of.the stress intensity f.ctor at the tips of.cracks subjected to uniaxial tension σχ^∞= p with traction-f.ee boundary condition in half.plane elasticity is investigated. The problem is f.rmulated into singular integral equations with the distribution dislocation f.nction as unknown. In the f.rmulation, we make used of.a modif.ed complex potential. Based on the appropriate quadrature f.rmulas together with a suitable choice of.collocation points, the singular integral equations are reduced to a system of.linear equations f.r the unknown coef.icients. Numerical examples show that the values of.the stress intensity f.ctor are inf.uenced by the distance f.om the cracks to the boundary of.the half.plane and the conf.guration of.the cracks.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is still one of.the leading causes of.cancer-related death in Western countries, despite major improvements in its treatment. The dramatically high social and economic impact of.CRC on human health makes the identif.cation of.a reliable screening tool of.paramount importance. Current screening methods, such as the f.cal occult blood test and colonoscopy do not adequately meet the ideal requisites of.a screening test because, even if.they are ef.ective, they are limited f.rst by too low specif.city and sensitivity, or second by high invasiveness, costs and risk. Nowadays extended ef.orts are made by researchers to look f.r more reliable and ef.ective screening tests based on a systems biology approach, using biological samples easily available, such as urine, breath, serum and f.ces. The ef.ectiveness and reliability of.several new attempts to screen these patients by non-invasive analysis of.their biological samples using genomic (genetic and epigenetic alteration), transcriptomic (miRNA), proteomic (cancer-related antigens, new antibodies against tumor-associated antigens, mutated proteins) and metabolomic (volatile organic metabolites) methods are discussed in this review. Among the most interesting new screening tools, f.cal f.uorescent long-DNA, f.cal miRNA and metabolomic evaluation in breath and/ or serum seem to be most promising.

A systematic investigation on the structural, magnetic and magnetocaloric properties of.Pr_（0.6）Sr_（0.4-x）Ag_xMnO_3（x=0.05 and 0.1） manganites was reported. Rietveld ref.nements of.the X-ray dif.raction patterns conf.rmed that all samples were single phase and crystallized in the orthorhombic structure with Pnma space group. Magnetic measurements in a magnetic applied f.eld of.0.01T revealed that the f.rromagnetic-paramagnetic transition temperature T_C decreased f.om about 293 to 290 K with increasing silver content f.om x=0.05 to 0.1. The reported magnetocaloric entropy change and relative cooling power f.r both samples were considerably remarkable with a △S_（max） value of.1.9 J/（kg·K）and maximum RCP values of.100 J/kg, under a magnetic f.eld change（？μ0H） equal to 1.8T. The analysis of.the universal curves gave an evidence of.a second order magnetic transition f.r the studied samples. The magnetic f.eld inf.uence on both the magnetic entropy change and the relative cooling power was also studied and discussed.

Indentation is a comparatively simple and virtually nondestructive method of.determining mechanical properties of.material surf.ces by means of.an indenter inducing a localized def.rmation. The paper present experimental results of.the load-displacement curves, the hardness and the elastic modulus data, and associated analysis f.r poly（methyl methacrylate）（PMMA） surf.ces as a f.nction of.contact displacement. The experimental results include continuous stif.ness indentations perf.rmed using constant loading rate and constant displacement rate experiments. The continuous stif.ness indentation involves continuous calculation of.a material stif.ness, and hence hardness and elastic modulus of.surf.ces, during discrete loading-unloading cycles, as in a conventional indentation routine, and in a comparatively smaller time constant, The dependence of.the compliance curves, the hardness, the elastic modulus and the plasticity index upon the imposed penetration depth, the applied normal load and the def.rmation rate are described. Tip area and load f.ame calibrations f.r the continuous stif.ness indentation are also reported. The paper includes practical considerations encountered during indentation of.polymers specif.cally at low penetration depths. The experimental results show a peculiarly harder response of.PMMA surf.ces at the submicron （near to surf.ce） layers.

In order to understand the high-temperature def.rmation behaviour of.alloy having hard surf.ce layer,thermo-mechanically treated duplex stainless steel(DSS)is boronised f.r 0.75-6 h at 1223 K and subsequently def.rmed under compression mode at the same temperature under strain rate condition of.1×10^(-3),2×10^(-4) and 6×10^(-5) s^(-1) until strain of.*** substrate microstructure is almost isotropic with grain size af.er boronising with layer thickness between 1.61 and 2.74μm.X-ray dif.raction results conf.rm the f.rmation of.boride on DSS *** surf.ce hardness of.DSS increases f.om 387 to 1000-2400 HV af.er *** boronised layer with thickness of.20-40μm is f.rmed at DSS *** results show that the f.ow stress of.the def.rmation increases with the strain rate and boronising *** the boronised samples,the f.ow stress range is between 5 and 89 *** determine the actual ef.ect of.the boronised layer on the f.ow stress,the results are also compared with those f.om un-boronised samples having similar *** results suggest that at a constant grain size,even with the hardest layer,the ef.ect of.hard surf.ce layer on the f.ow stress almost could be negligible when the def.rmation rate is slow,but at f.ster def.rmation rate,even in the layer with the least hardness,the f.ow stress shows a signif.cant *** is also observed that the hard boride surf.ce disintegration could be avoided at a suf.iciently low def.rmation f.ow stress that could be attributed to superplasticity.
