Grap.ene oxide is a p.omising adsorp.ion ***,it has been difficult to recycle and sep.rate grap.ene oxide in the *** alleviate this p.oblem,grap.ene oxide was thermally reduced to p.oduce p.rous hydrogel which was then functionalized with *** functional group. act as not only adsorp.ion sites but also nucleation sites for in situ crystallization of cobalt-dop.d zeolitic-imidazolate-framework-8 *** effects of cobalt-dop.ng contents on the p.ysicochemical and adsorp.ion p.op.rties of the resulting aerogel were also evaluated by varying the cobalt *** instance,the reduced grap.ene oxide-p.lydop.mine/50cobalt-zeolitic-imidazolate-framework-8 aerogel exhibited a high surface area of 900 m^(2)·g^(-1)and maintained the structure in water after ten *** as-synthesized aerogels showed an ultrahigh adsorp.ion cap.city of 1217±24.35 mg·g^(-1)with a removal efficiency of>99%of lead,as well as excellent adsorp.ion p.rformance toward other heavy metals,such as cop.er and cadmium with adsorp.ion cap.city of 1163±34.91 and 1059±31.77 mg·g^(-1),*** imp.rtantly,the lead adsorp.ion stabilized at 1023±20.5 mg·g^(-1)with a removal efficiency of>80%after seven cycles,indicating their p.tential in heavy metal removal from industrial wastewater.

Background:No studies have documented long-term trends in aboveground biomass(AGB)for mixed-dip.erocarp.forests(MDF),the dominant rain forest typ. in trop.cal wet equatorial *** our study,we sought to document such trends over forty years across three sites rep.esenting lowland to lower montane ***:To do this,we established fifty 100 m×25 m p.ots in 1978 across three sites samp.ed along an elevation gradient,identified as mature old-growth *** measured trees for diameter at breast height that we identified to sp.cies and *** took wood samp.es to calculate sp.cies wood-sp.cific *** re-measured p.ots in 1998 and again in ***:We show standing AGB for all sites combined to be 517.52 Mg·ha^(-1)in 1978,but this declined by 17%over 40 years to 430.11 Mg·ha^(-1).No differences exist among sites in AGB p.imarily because of considerable within site variation;but interactions of time with site show declines across sites were not uniform,one remained about the *** few sp.cies rep.esented a high p.op.rtion of the AGB with the top.five sp.cies comp.ising between 34%and 65%,dep.nding up.n site and year *** sp.cies,Mesua nagassarium,rep.esented a disp.op.rtionately large amount of AGB and decline over time,p.rticularly at the low elevation ***:Our results are directly relevant to estimating AGB and standing carbon sequestered in *** study is the first to demonstrate varying but overall,declining trends in amounts of AGB among forests making p.edictions of biomass and standing carbon in MDF difficult over wide regions.

Background: Bithermal caloric irrigation, video head imp.lse test(vHIT), and rotational testing are commonly used to assess p.rip.eral vestibular function, but the relative clinical utility of each test in differentiating p.tients with p.rip.eral vestibulop.thy is ***: To determine whether(1) the combination of two or more vestibular tests enhances diagnostic utility over a single test;(2) abnormal test results on vestibular tests correlate with one ***: Retrosp.ctive analysis of data collected from multidiscip.inary vestibular clinics at two academic medical centers from 2016 to ***: 150 p.tients(54.10 ± 15.09 years, 88 females) were included. No individual test was significantly better at p.edicting the p.esence of p.rip.eral vestibular damage(p.> 0.05). vHIT test results imp.oved significantly when combined with either the caloric test(p.= 0.007) or rotary chair test(p.= 0.039). Caloric and rotational testing had high sensitivity(74.65% and 76.06%, resp.ctively) and sp.cificity(83.54% and 78.48%, resp.ctively). vHIT demonstrated excellent sp.cificity(89.87%) but p.or sensitivity(47.89%). Caloric, vHIT, and rotary chair tests results did not correlate with one another(p.> 0.05).Conclusions: Vestibular function tests have comp.rable diagnostic utility, yet each offers unique advantages. Caloric and rotational testing may be best suited for screening p.rip.eral damage and vHIT may function ideally as a confirmatory test.

In this study, we p.ove the of existence of solutions of a convolution Volterra integral equation in the sp.ce of the Lebesgue integrable function on the set of p.sitive real numbers and with the standard norm defined on it. An op.rator p.was assigned to the convolution integral op.rator which was later exp.essed in terms of the sup.rp.sition op.rator and the nonlinear op.rator. Given a ball Br belonging to the sp.ce L it was established that the op.rator p.map. the ball into itself. The Hausdorff measure of noncomp.ctness was then ap.lied by first p.oving that given a set M∈ B r the set is bounded, closed, convex and nondecreasing. Finally, the Darbo fixed p.int theorem was ap.lied on the measure obtained from the set E belonging to M. From this ap.lication, it was observed that the conditions for the Darbo fixed p.int theorem was satisfied. This indicated the p.esence of at least a fixed p.int for the integral equation which thereby imp.ying the existence of solutions for the integral equation.

Objective:To identify p.ssible stone-p.omoting microbes,we comp.red the p.ofiles of microbes grown from stones of p.tients with and without metabolic syndrome(MetS).The association between MetS and urinary stone disease is well established,but the exact p.thop.ysiologic relationship.remains *** evidence suggests urinary tract dysbiosis may lead to increased nep.rolithiasis ***:At the time of p.rcutaneous nep.rolithotomy,bladder urine and stone fragments were collected from p.tients with and without *** samp.e typ.s were subjected to exp.nded quantitative urine culture(EQUC)and 16 S ribosomal RNA gene ***:Fifty-seven p.tients included 12 controls(21.1%)and 45 MetS p.tients(78.9%).Both cohorts were similar with resp.ct to demograp.ics and non-MetS *** controls had uric acid stone *** EQUC,bacteria were detected more frequently in MetS stones(42.2%)comp.red to controls(8.3%)(p.0.041).Bacteria also were more abundant in stones of MetS p.tients comp.red to *** validate our EQUC results,we p.rformed 16 S ribosomal RNA gene *** 12/16(75.0%)sequence-p.sitive stones,EQUC reliably isolated at least one sp.cies of the sequenced *** were detected in both“infectious”and“non-infectious”stone ***:Bacteria are more common and more abundant in MetS stones than control *** findings sup.ort a role for bacteria in urinary stone disease for p.tients with MetS regardless of stone comp.sition.
