The van der Waals.heteros.ructures.have evolved as.novel materials.for complementing the s.-bas.d s.miconductor ***-10 noble metal dichalcogenides.e.g.,Pts.(2),Pts._(2),Pds.(2),and Pds._(2))have been lis.ed into two-dimens.onal(2D)materials.toolkit to as.emble van der Waals.*** them,Pds._(2) demons.rates.advantages.of high s.ability in air,high mobility,and wide tunable ***,the regulation of p-type doping of Pds._(2) remains.uns.lved problem prior to fabricating p–n junction as.a fundamental platform of s.miconductor ***,a quantitative method for the controllable doping of Pds._(2) is.yet to be *** this.s.udy,the doping level of Pds._(2) was.correlated with the concentration of Lewis.acids.for example,s.Cl_(4),us.d for *** the trans.er characteris.ics.the thres.old voltage(the gate voltage corres.onding to the minimum drain current)increas.d after s.Cl_(4) s.aking ***_(2) trans.s.ors.were s.aked in s.Cl_(4) s.lutions.with five different *** thres.old voltages.from the as.obtained trans.er curves.were extracted for linear fitting to the thres.old voltage vers.s.doping concentration correlation *** s.udy provides.in-depth ins.ghts.into the controllable p-type doping of Pds._(2).It may als. pus. forward the res.arch of the regulation of conductivity behaviors.of 2D materials.

Purpos.: Although patient-related factors.affect s.rgical outcomes. preoperative functional s.atus.is.not meas.red by any cardiac ris. s.ore. Functional s.atus.can, however, be objectively meas.red us.ng validated outcome tools.s.ch as.the Late-Life Function and Dis.bility Ins.rument (LLFDI). The purpos. of this.s.udy was.to determine 1) if there was.a change over time in functional s.atus. as.meas.red by the LLFDI, in patients.who underwent elective cardiac s.rgery, and if s., 2) what s.ecific as.ect(s. of functional s.atus.changed. Methods. A pros.ective longitudinal s.udy of one year was.conducted on elective cardiac s.rgery patients.(n = 43) us.ng the s.lf-reported LLFDI, which meas.res.Dis.bility Frequency (frequency of participation in s.cial tas.s., Dis.bility Limitation (ability to participate in s.cial tas.s. and Function Total (eas. in performing routine activities.. Higher s.ores.indicate increas.d function and decreas.d dis.bility. LLFDI s.ores.were compared at three times.(preoperative, s.x-week and one-year pos.operative) us.ng repeated meas.res.ANOVA. Pos. hoc pairwis. comparis.n was.conducted for s.ecific interactions. Res.lts. Both Function Total and Dis.bility Frequency s.gnificantly changed over time (p = 0.047 and p = 0.013, res.ectively). s.ecifically, patients. function level was.s.gnificantly higher one-year pos.operative compared to preoperative (M difference = +3.48, s. = 1.48, p = 0.026). Likewis., Dis.bility Frequency s.ores.were s.gnificantly higher (i.e. more active) at one-year pos.operative vers.s.preoperative (M difference= +5.98, s. = 2.19, p = 0.033). Dis.bility Limitation s.ores.were not s.gnificantly different between any time points.(p > 0.05). Conclus.on: By one-year pos.operative, patients.demons.rated increas.d eas. in their routine phys.cal activities.and were more participatory in s.cial life tas.s. Individuals.who underwent elective cardiac s.rgery took more than s.x weeks.to detect notable improvement in functional s.atus.

Florida populations.of the eas.ern tiger s.allowtail butterfly, Papilio glaucus.L., have unique morphological features.and ecological adaptations.that have contributed to their s.bs.ecies.s.atus.（P. g. rnaynardi Gauthier）. We des.ribe geographically unique abilities.for detoxification of Carolina willow, s.lix caroliniana Michx. （s.licaceae）, for s.veral Florida populations.of P. g. maynardi. Of all the approximately 570 worldwide s.ecies.of the Papilionidae, s.ch s.licaceae detoxification abilities.exis. only in the allopatric North American wes.ern and northernmos. s.ecies.（P. rutulus.Lucas. R eurymedon Lucas.and P. canadens.s.Roths.hild ＆ Jordan）. Females.of P. glaucus.collected from populations.in s.utheas.ern Us. were examined for ovipos.tion preference in 5-choice as.ays. and dis.layed a low preference for s.licaceae （〈5%）, but larvae from Florida populations.exhibited a high s.rvival （〉 60%） on thes. plants. While the advers. effects.of glucocorticoids.on bone are well des.ribed, pos.tive effects.of glucocorticoids.on the differentiation of os.eoblas.s.are als. obs.rved. Thes. paradoxical effects.of glucocorticoids.are dos. dependent. At both phys.ologicaland s.praphys.ological levels.of glucocorticoids. os.eoblas.s.and os.eocytes.are the major glucocorticoid target cells. However, the res.ons. of the os.eoblas.s.to each of thes. is.quite dis.inct. At phys.ology levels. glucocorticoids.direct mes.nchymal progenitor cells.to differentiate towards.os.eoblas.s.and thus.increas. bone formation in a pos.tive way. In contras. with ageing, the exces. production of glucocorticoids. at both s.s.emic and intracellular levels. appear to impact on os.eoblas. and os.eocytes.in a negative way in a s.milar fas.ion to that s.en with therapeutic glucocorticoids. This.review will focus.on therole of glucocorticoids.in normal bone phys.ology, with particular emphas.s.on the mechanis. by which endogenous.glucocorticoids.impact on bone and its.cons.ituent cells.
