One of the most important issues to resolve in parts manufactured from rapid manufacturing (RM) technologies is to know their behavior working under real conditions. Total quality manufacturing (TQM) is only possible if mechanical properties are well known in the design stage depending on the processing parameters. This work is mainly focused on testing of several samples made with different selective laser sintering (SLS) parameters and technologies. This procedure is the starting point to establish a basis for designing for RM and the standardization of RM testing. The experiments and the analysis of variance (AnOVA) analyzed the effects of several factors on mechanical properties. The SLS technologies were 3DSystem and EOS. The results show which factor has a large effect on the variables and the interaction between them. The conclusions are very useful for developing rules for designing (designing for RM) and creating new standard rules (ISO, AISI, and DIn) for RM materials and parts testing. The AnOVA gives a better knowledge of the effects of these factors and eliminates unimportant parameters.

目的:1.提出一种在外型不变的部件内模拟不同细胞结构的方法;2.发展激光选区熔化(SLM)部件轻量化参数设计的新方法;3.利用这一方案实现优化设计并比较不同细胞结构的质量。创新点:1.提出基于拉丁超立方实验设计、遗传算法、克里金元模型和有限元方法的轻量化优化方案;2.该方法可通过较少的采样获得良好的结果并能克服几何奇点(内部网格细化算法)的问题。方法:1.进行内部细胞结构的生成和参数化;2.根据输入数据(设计变量和约束条件等)采用拉丁超立方实验设计模拟所选样本;3.利用先前的数据创建克里金元模型并利用预测的元模型来计算遗传算法演化过程中的适应函数;4.将模拟实现的优化结果添加到数据中更新元模型,并通过数次重复迭代提高元模型的准确度直至误差小于5%;5.将这一概念应用于不同的几何结构,然后通过SLM加工制造优化后的几何结构,并在弯曲载荷下进行测试。结论:1.该优化算法通过适当的参数化克服了SLM技术的相关限制,可适用于SLM部件的优化;2.立方单元格在计算机辅助设计定义、参数化和时间优化等方面有一些优势,但和有限元分析的估计结果相比,其存在的缺乏坚实支撑的水平条(悬挂结构)会造成机械性能损失;3.将立方单元结构与用户自定义的参数化增强相结合可以得到更有效的设计结果(更高的比刚度),但更多的设计变量也延长了所需要的优化时间。

The repair of osteochondral defects is one of the major clinical challenges in ***-established osteochondral tissue engineering methods have shown promising results for the early treatment of small ***,less success has been achieved for the regeneration of large defects,which is mainly due to the mechanical environment of the joint and the heterogeneous nature of the *** this study,we developed a multi-layered osteochondral scaffold to match the heterogeneous nature of osteochondral tissue by harnessing additive manufacturing technologies and combining the established art laser sintering and material extrusion *** developed scaffold is based on a titanium and polylactic acid matrix-reinforced collagen“sandwich”composite *** microstructure and mechanical properties of the scaffold were examined,and its safety and efficacy in the repair of large osteochondral defects were tested in an ovine condyle *** 12-week in vivo evaluation period revealed extensive and significantly higher bone in-growth in the multi-layered scaffold compared with the collagen–HAp scaffold,and the achieved stable mechanical fixation provided strong support to the healing of the overlying cartilage,as demonstrated by hyaline-like cartilage *** histological examination showed that the regenerated cartilage in the multi-layer scaffold group was superior to that formed in the control *** genes such as aggrecan and collagen-II were upregulated in the scaffold and were higher than those in the control *** findings showed the safety and efficacy of the cell-free“translation-ready”osteochondral scaffold,which has the potential to be used in a one-step surgical procedure for the treatment of large osteochondral defects.

The Trauzl lead block test allows the determination of the approximate performance of explosives in blasting applications by measuring the volume increase(expansion)that is produced by the detonation of an explosive charge in the cavity of a lead *** this paper,we reconsider the possibility of interpreting the Trauzl test results in terms of detonation parameters or *** detonation parameters used in the analysis are calculated using the thermochemical code EXPLO5,while the hydrocode AUTODYn is used to simulate the effect of explosive charge density and reaction rate on the results of the Trauzl *** increase in the volume of the lead block cavity was found to correlate best with the product of the detonation heat and the root of the volume of detonation *** simulation showed that the density of explosive charge and the rate of explosive decomposition affect the dynamics of the interaction of the detonation product and the lead block,and consequently the lead block cavity volume increase.

The US presence in East Asia is not simply a result of the victory over Japan in WW2,but a legacy of the US takeover of the Spanish overseas empire in ***,the threat of war between China and the US has little to do with Allison's Thucydides trap,which is based on a misreading of Thucydides'work:It originates from what in China is seen as a US imperial presence that mirrors Western inter-ference in Chinese affairs during the so-called“century of humiliation.”China is an authoritarian state with regional hegemonic ambitions,yet the West has been endorsing other authoritarian states,even absolute monarchies,that fit its geopoliti-cal *** the purported US support of“freedom”and“democ-racy,”the US in East Asia has been carrying out a foreign policy that,as an exten-sion of misinterpretations of the Monroe Doctrine,is a legacy of *** legacy is too often overlooked,while overseas interests are justified on the basis of secu-rity *** is relevant,but to compare the American and Athenian empires and their demise,not to drag China into US geopolitical discourse,when focus should have long been on ***-colonial theory shows how interstate relations,in particular in the East Asian context,are not defined by Thucydides trap,but Thrasymachus paradox.

Research funding and citations in papers of nobel Laureates in Physics, Chemistry and Medicine, 2019-2020

Purpose:The goal of this study is a comparative analysis of the relation between funding(a main driver for scientific research)and citations in papers of nobel Laureates in physics,chemistry and medicine over 2019-2020 and the same relation in these research fields as a ***/methodology/approach:This study utilizes a power law model to explore the relationship between research funding and citations of related *** study here analyzes 3,539 recorded documents by nobel Laureates in physics,chemistry and medicine and a broader dataset of 183,016 documents related to the fields of physics,medicine,and chemistry recorded in the Web of Science ***:Results reveal that in chemistry and medicine,funded researches published in papers of nobel Laureates have higher citations than unfunded studies published in articles;vice versa high citations of nobel Laureates in physics are for unfunded studies published in ***,when overall data of publications and citations in physics,chemistry and medicine are analyzed,all papers based on funded researches show higher citations than unfunded ***/value:Results clarify the driving role of research funding for science diffusion that are systematized in general properties:a)articles concerning funded researches receive more citations than(un)funded studies published in papers of physics,chemistry and medicine sciences,generating a high Matthew effect(a higher growth of citations with the increase in the number of papers);b)research funding increases the citations of articles in fields oriented to applied research(e.g.,chemistry and medicine)more than fields oriented towards basic research(e.g.,physics).Practical implications:The results here explain some characteristics of scientific development and diffusion,highlighting the critical role of research funding in fostering citations and the expansion of scientific *** finding can support decision-making of policymakers and R&D mana
