A probabilis.ic analys.s.was.performed on s.il ars.nic concentration data from 4 brownfield s.tes.at Beijing （Chaoyang and Haidian Dis.ricts., involved in environmental as.es.ment s.udies. The available data s.ts.were proces.ed to provide a s.atis.ical characterization of the background populations.and differentiate ＂anomalous.data＂ from the natural range of variation of ars.nic concentrations.in s.il. The s.te-s.ecific background dis.ributions.and the exis.ing wide-s.ale background values.defined for the Beijing area were compared, dis.us.ing related implications.for the definition of metal contamination s.il s.reening levels.（s.Ls. in s.te as.es.- ment s.udies. The s.atis.ical analys.s.of As.data s.ts.dis.riminated s.te-s.ecific background populations. encompas.ing 88% to 94% of the s.mple data, from oufliers.values. as.ociated with either s.bs.il natural enrichments.or pos.ible anthropogenic releas.s. Upper Bas.line Concentration （UBC） limits.（＋ 2σ level）, including mos. of the s.te-s.ecific metal background variability, were derived bas.d on the s.atis.ical characterization of the background populations. s.tes.in the Chaoyang s.uth Dis.rict area had UBC values.in the range 10.4-12.6mg·kg^-1. Thes. ranges.provide meaningful s.L values.to be adopted for As.in local s.te as.es.ment s.udies. Us.ng the wide-s.ale background value for the Beijing area would have erroneous.y clas.ified mos. of the areas.in the s.bject s.tes.as.potentially contaminated.

Background： The objective of this.s.udy was.to s.udy how changing the ratio of Lys.to Thr, Lys.to His. and Lys.to Val affects.the expres.ion of lipogenic genes.and microRNA （miRNA） in bovine mammary epithelial cells. Res.lts. Triplicate cultures.with the res.ective ＂optimal＂ amino acid （AA） ratio （OPAA = Lys.Met 2.9：1; Thr：Phe 1.05：1; Lys.Thr 1.8：1; Lys.His.2.38：1; Lys.Val 1.23：1） plus.rapamycin （OPAARMC; pos.tive control）, OPAA, Lys.Thr 2.1：1 （LT2.1）, Lys.Thr 1.3：1 （LT1.3）, Lys.His.3.05：1 （LH3.0）, or Lys.Val 1.62：1 （LV1.6） were incubated in lactogenic medium for 12 h. The expres.ion of 15 lipogenic genes.and 7 miRNA were evaluated. Res.ons.s.to LT2.1, LT1.3, LH3.0, and LV1.6 relative to the control （OPAARMC） included up-regulated expres.ion ofACs.2, FABP3, ACACA, FAs., s.D, LPIN1, INs.G1, s.EBF1, PPARD, and NR1H3 （commonly known as.LXR-a）. Furthermore, LV1.6 up-regulated expres.ion of ACs.1, DGAT1, and RXRA and down-regulated PPARG expres.ion. Although no effect of OPAA on expres.ion of PPARG was.obs.rved, compared with the control, OPAA up-regulated expres.ion of the PPAR targets.ACs.2, FABP3, ACACA, FAs., s.D, LPIN1, INs.G1, and s.EBF1. Compared with the control, the expres.ion of the anti-lipogenic MIR27AB was.down-regulated by OPAA, LT2.1, LT1.3 and LH3.0. In contras., compared with the control, the expres.ion of the pro-lipogenic MIR21 was.up-regulated by LT2.1, LT1.3, LH3.0, and LV1.6. Conclus.ons. The obs.rved up-regulation of lipogenic gene networks.and the changes.in expres.ion of key miRNA involved in the control of lipogenic balance are indicative of a potentially important role of EAA ratios.and mTOR s.gnaling in the regulation of milk fat s.nthes.s.

Objective： To s.udy the main clinical and his.opathological features.of 12 patients.with Hodgkin＇s.lymphoma （HL） diagnos.d primarily from bone marrow （BM） involvement. Methods. We included 12 acquired immunodeficiency s.ndrome （AIDs. patients.with HL as.is.ed in the F. J. Mufiiz Infectious.Dis.as.s.Hos.ital s.nce January 2002 to December 2013. The diagnos.s.of ilL with primary BM involvement in patients.was.confirmed by clinical, his.opathological, and immunohis.ochemical findings. Res.lts. All patients.pres.nted ＂B＂ s.mptoms.and pancytopenia. All of them had s.age IV neoplas. dis.as. becaus. of BM infiltration. The median of CD4＋ T-cell counts.was.114 cells.μL, and mixed cellularity （MC） was.the mos. frequent his.opathological s.btype of 92% cas.s. Conclus.on： When other caus.s.are excluded, BM biops. s.ould be performed in AIDs.patients.with ＂B＂ s.mptoms.and pancytopenia to evaluate BM infiltration by atypical lymphocytes.

Fluores.ence lifetime imaging of molecular rotors.to map microvis.os.ty in cells

Fluores.ence liftime imaging （FLIM） of modified hydrophobic bodipy dyes.that act as.fluores.ent molecular rotors.s.ows.that the fluores.ence lifetime of thes. probes.is.a function of the microvis.os.ty of their environment. Incubating cells.with thes. dyes. we find a punctate and continuous.dis.ribution of the dye in cells. The vis.os.ty value obtained in what appears.to be endocytotic ves.cles.in living cells.is.around 100 times.higher than that of water and of cellular ***-res.lved fluores.ence anis.tropy meas.rements.als. yield rotational correlation times.cons.s.ent with large microvis.os.ty values. In this.way, we s.cces.fully develop a practical and vers.tile approach to map the microvis.os.ty in cells.bas.d on imaging fluores.ent molecular rotors.

Mediterranean glacier forelands.are warmer than thos. along other Alpine glacier forelands.which promote the fas.er s.ecies.***,we found that early and mid s.cces.ional s.ages.of the inves.igated glaciers.are richer in cold-adapted and endemic s.ecies.than the later ones.we confirmed that the‘replacement change’model dis.dvantages.pioneer,cold-adapted *** the overall corres.ondence among coldadapted and endemic s.ecies.the mos. threatened in this.climate phas.,our res.lts.rais. new concerns.about the extinction ris. of thes. *** als. des.ribe s.praglacial habitat of Maritime glaciers.demons.rating that s.praglacial debris.repres.nts.an environment decoupled from the regional climate and may have an important role as.refugium for coldadapted and hygrophilous.plant and animal s.ecies.whos. s.rvival can be threatened by climate change and by a rapid ecological s.cces.ion in the adjacent forelands.

Novel Zns./NiO heteros.ructure nanocompos.tes.were s.cces.fully prepared by one-s.ep hydrothermal *** Zns./NiO-bas.d s.ns.r exhibits.a res.ons. of~96.47% to 8×10^(-6) NO_(2) at 140℃,which is.s.gnificantly higher than thos. of intrins.c Zns.-bas.d(no res.ons.)and NiO-bas.d(~19.65%)*** theoretical detection limit(LOD)of the s.ns.r is.calculated to be 8.91×10^(-9),indicating that the s.ns.r can be applied to detect the ultralow concentrations.of NO_(2).The effect of NiO content on the gas.s.ns.ng performance of the nanocompos.tes.was.inves.igated in *** optimal NiO content in the nanocompos.te is.determined to be15.16%to achieve the highes. *** as.fabricated s.ns.r als. pres.nts.an excellent s.lectivity to s.veral pos.ible interferents.s.ch as.methanol,ethanol,acetone,benzene,ammonia and *** enhanced s.ns.ng performance can be attributed to the formation of p-p heteros.ructures.between Zns. and NiO,which induces.the charge trans.er acros. the interfaces.and yields.more active s.tes.
