Epilepsy is a very common worldwide neurological disorder that can affect a person’s quality of life at any age. People with epilepsy typically have recurrent seizures that can lead to injury or in some cases even death. Curing epilepsy requires risky surgery. If not, the patient may be subjected to a long drug treatment associated with lifestyle advice without guarantee of total recovery. However, regardless of the type of treatment performed, late treatment necessarily creates psychological instability in the patient. It is therefore important to be able to diagnose the disease as early as possible if we desire that the patient does not suffer from its consequences on their mental health. That is why the study aims to propose a model for detecting epilepsy in order to be able to identify it as early as possible, especially in newborns. The objective of the article is to propose a model for detecting epilepsy using data from electroencephalogram signals from 10 newborns. This model developed using the extra trees classifier technique offers the possibility of predicting epilepsy in infants with an accuracy of around 99.4%.

In 2008 remuneration reform for public sector was introduced in Russia. Its main idea was to implement P4P principle well-known in business, including more flexible approach to wage setting. This paper presents an attempt to estimate an influence of the new remuneration system (NRS) on earnings level, inequalities and job motivation. The estimates are based on microdata of monitoring survey of healthcare economic problems conducted in Russia in 2009 and 2010. The extended specification of Mincer earning equation and probit-models were used. One could observe increasing wage rates and earning inequalities within healthcare institutions adopted NRS though worker"s experience and regional economic differences remain significant wage determining factors. As it occurs, NRS is widely adopted by large regional and central hospitals while smaller health care institutions show less enthusiasm in implementing reform. Obviously, the larger institutions have more money and better educated administrative staff to introduce the new system. Those chief physicians who adopted NRS point out a positive correlation between earnings and individual input. At the same time, those committed to old principles of wage setting more often note declining job turnover. This latter result could possibly indicate negative personnel sorting, less productive workers tending to stay with employer who doesn"t assess their performance. As concerns anticipated NRS results such as increasing motivation and quality of health services, the evidence is still ambiguous.

AIM:To develop and test an Arabic version of the National Eye Institute Visual Function Questionnaire-25(NEI-VFQ-25).METHODS:NEI-VFQ-25 was translated into Arabic according to WHO translation guidelines. We enrolled adult consenting patients with bilateral chronic eye diseases who presented to 14 hospitals across Egypt from October to December 2012, and documented their clinical findings. Psychometric properties were then tested using ***:We recruited 379 patients, whose mean age was(54.5±15)y. Of 46.2% were males, 227 had cataract,31 had glaucoma, 23 had retinal detachment, 37 had diabetic retinopathy, and 61 had miscellaneous visual defects. Non-response rate and the floor and ceiling numbers of the Arabic version(ARB-VFQ-25) were calculated. Internal consistency was high in all subscales(except general health), with Cronbach-α ranging from0.702-0.911. Test-retest reliability was high(intraclass correlation coefficient 0.79).CONCLUSION:RB-VFQ-25 isareliableandvalidtool for assessing visual functions of Arabic speaking patients. However, some questions had high non-response rates and should be substituted by available alternatives. Our results support the importance of including self-reported visual functions as part of routine ophthalmologic examination.

The authors establish the existence of a large class of mathematical entropies (the so-called weak entropies) associated with the Euler equations for an isentropic, compressible fluid governed by a general pressure law. A mild assumption on the behavior of the pressure law near the vacuum is solely required. The analysis is based on an asymptotic expansion of the fundamental solution (called here the entropy kernel) of a highly singular Euler- Poisson-Darboux equation. The entropy kernel is only Holder continuous and its regularity is carefully inversti- gated. Relying on a notion introduced earlier by the authors, it is also proven that, for the Euler equations, the set of eatropy flux-splittings coincides with the set of entropies-entropy fluxes. There results imply the existence of a flux-splitting consistent with all of the entropy inequalities.

The global financial and economic crisis has negatively affected all business units. Tough fight for the market position results in effort to create efficient methods to maintain company"s competitiveness. Some of small and medium entrepreneurs have started to search the business allies. As an example of such possibility of cooperation the formation of clusters should be mention. The main intention of this paper is to demonstrate possibility for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to cooperatively penetrate new markets. Attention is focused mainly on a real export-oriented cluster. Ambition is to use costs and benefits analysis to test ability of the cluster to improve chances of companies to penetrate new markets. In order to link this analysis to real life as much as possible, existing cluster was used and on its accomplishments and failures costs and benefits of clustering are demonstrated.

The Jayachamarajapura schist belt in western Dharwar craton, southern India, is predominantly an ultramafics dominant terrain. These rocks have been extensively metamorphosed and altered to serpentinite. The komatiite nature of ultramafics is conspicuous. In most of the areas of the belt these ultramafics are massive in nature. However, some of the ultramafic units show layered nature. But, their outcrops are encompassed within the massive komatiitic bodies. These komatiitic ultramafics are predominantly Mg-rich in nature. The layered rocks are also Mg-rich, and their field setting and geochemistry suggest their intermittent occurrence as sills, during the differentiation of peridotitic magma. The layered rocks, which have been intensely serpentinisation show homogenous nature. They are almost wholly made of serpentine with occasional relics of pyroxene. Secondary carbonate mineral is often noticed. Their higher MgO content indicates Mg-rich ultramafic magmatism during Archaean orogeny.
