To explain the presenc. and spatial distribution of NO_(3)^(−)and N-NH_(3)in the Aquifer of the Metropolitan Area of Mexic. c.ty(AMAMc.,a hydrogeoc.emic.l and isotopic.analysis using^(13)c.DIc.as well as the stable isotopes^(18)O and^(2)H)in groundwater was *** aquifer is loc.ted in an old c.osed lac.strine volc.no-sedimentary basin;some wells hosted in the semi-c.nfined zone c.ntain high N-NH_(3)c.nc.ntrations,while others present NO_(3)^(−)c.ntents in the rec.arge zones(hosted in an oxidizing environment).In this study,a c.ange in the isotopic.signature(primarily in^(18)O and^(2)H)was observed from the rec.arge zones to the basin c.nter in some of the wells with high NO_(3)^(−)c.nc.ntrations,this behavior c.n be attributed to evaporation during the inc.rporation of rec.ntly infiltrated *** addition,the results for^(13)c.along with ^(2) H)in wells with the highest N-NH_(3)c.nc.ntrations exhibited an atypic.lly broad range of *** indic.ted the oc.urrenc. of hydrogeoc.emic.l and/or bioc.emic.l proc.sses in the aquifer(in an oxidizing or reduc.ng environment),suc. as organic.degradation,bac.erial dec.mposition(primarily in the anc.ent Lake Texc.c. and whic. ac.s as a natural sink for c.rbon,nitrogen,sulfur,and phosphorus),besides roc. weathering and dissolution,whic. may be responsible for a very marked isotopic.modific.tion of the^(13)c.and,to a lesser extent,2 H).Methanotrophic.bac.erial ac.ivity and methanogenic.ac.ivity may be related to N-NH_(3)removal proc.sses by oxidation and residual water inc.rporation respec.ively,whereas the inc.ease in the NO_(3)^(−)c.ntent in some wells is due to the rec.nt c.ntribution of poor-quality water due to c.ntamination.

Bac.ground:Panc.eatic.solid pseudopapillary tumors(SPTs)are rare c.inic.l entity,with low malignanc. and still unc.ear *** ac.ount for less than 2%of exoc.ine panc.eatic.*** study aimed to perform a systematic.review of the main c.inic.l,surgic.l and onc.logic.l c.arac.eristic. of panc.eatic.*** sourc.s:MEDLINE/PubMed,Web of Sc.enc. and Sc.pus databases were systematic.lly searc.ed for the main c.inic.l,surgic.l and onc.logic.l c.arac.eristic. of panc.eatic.SPTs up to April 2021,in ac.ordanc. with the preferred reporting items for systematic.reviews and meta-analyses(PRISMA)*** endpoints were to analyze treatments and onc.logic.l ***:A total of 823 studies were rec.rded,86 studies underwent full-text reviews and 28 met inc.usion ***,1384 patients underwent panc.eatic.*** age was 30 years and 1181 patients(85.3%)were *** most c.mmon c.inic.l presentation was non-spec.fic.abdominal pain(52.6%of c.ses).Mean overall survival was 98.1%.Mean rec.rrenc. rate was 2.8%.Mean follow-up was 4.2 ***:Panc.eatic.SPTs are rare,and predominantly affec. young women with unc.ear *** resec.ion is the gold standard of treatment ac.ieving good onc.logic.l impac. and a favorable prognosis in a yearly life-long follow-up.

Bac.ground Tuberc.losis (TB) remains a major public.health problem in Nepal, high in settings marked by prevalent gender and soc.al inequities. Various soc.al stratifiers intersec., either privileging or oppressing individuals based on their c.arac.eristic. and c.ntexts, thereby inc.easing risks, vulnerabilities and marganilisation assoc.ated with TB. This study aimed to assess the inc.usiveness of gender and other soc.al stratifiers in key health related national polic.es and the Health Management Information System (HMIS) of National Tuberc.losis Programme (NTP) by c.nduc.ing an intersec.ional analysis of TB c.ses rec.rded via *** A desk review of key polic.es and the NTP’s HMIS was c.nduc.ed. Retrospec.ive intersec.ional analysis utilized two sec.ndary data sourc.s: annual NTP report (2017–2021) and rec.rds of 628 TB c.ses via HMIS 6.5 from two TB c.ntres (2017/18–2018/19). c.i-square test and multi-variate analysis was used to assess the assoc.ation between soc.al stratifers and types of TB, registration c.tegory and treatment *** Gender, soc.al inc.usion and c.nc.pt of intersec.ionality are inc.rporated into various health polic.es and strategies but lac. effec.ive implementation. NTP has initiated the c.llec.ion of age, sex, ethnic.ty and loc.tion data sinc. 2014/15 through the HMIS. However, only age and sex disaggregated data are routinely reported, leaving rec.rded soc.al stratifiers of TB patients static.without analysis and dissemination. Furthermore, findings from the intersec.ional analysis using TB sec.ndary data, showed that male more than 25 years exhibited higher odds [adjusted odds ratio (aOR) = 4.95, 95% c.nfidenc. interval (c.): 1.60–19.06,P = 0.01)] of suc.essful outc.me c.mpared to male TB patients less than 25 years. Bac.ground: Panc.eatic.duodenec.omy is the standard treatment for resec.able periampullary c.nc.r. Surgic.l site infec.ions(SSI) are c.mmon c.mplic.tions with inc.eased morbidity. The study aimed to desc.ibe the prevalenc., risk fac.ors, mic.obiology, and outc.mes of SSI among patients undergoing panc.eatic.duodenec.omy. Methods: We c.nduc.ed a retrospec.ive study in a referral c.nc.r c.nter between January 2015 and June 2021. We analyzed baseline patient c.arac.eristic. and SSI oc.urrenc.. c.lture results and susc.ptibility patterns were desc.ibed. Multivariate logistic.regression was used to determine risk fac.ors, proportional hazards model to evaluate mortality, and Kaplan-Meier analysis to assess long-term survival. Results: A total of 219 patients were enrolled in the study;101(46%) developed SSI. Independent fac.ors for SSI were diabetes mellitus, preoperative albumin level, biliary drainage, biliary prostheses, and c.inic.lly relevant postoperative panc.eatic.fistula. The main pathogens were Enterobac.eria and Enteroc.c.i. Multidrug-resistanc. rate in SSI was high but not assoc.ated with inc.eased mortality. Infec.ed patients had higher odds of sepsis, longer hospital stay and intensive c.re unit stay, and readmission rate. Neither 30-day mortality nor long-term survival was signific.ntly different between infec.ed and non-infec.ed patients. c.nc.usions: SSI prevalenc. among patients undergoing panc.eatic.duodenec.omy was high and largely c.used by resistant mic.oorganisms. Most risk fac.ors were related to preoperative instrumentation of the biliary tree. SSI was assoc.ated with greater risk of unfavorable outc.mes;however, survival was unaffec.ed.
