Computational Stochastic Investigations for the Socio-Ecological Dynamics with Reef Ecosystems

The motive of this work is to present a computational design using the stochastic scaled conjugate gradient(SCG)neural networks(NNs)called as SCGNNs for the socio-ecological dynamics(SED)with reef ecosystems and conservation *** mathematical descriptions of the SED model are provided that is dependent upon five categories,macroalgae M(v),breathing coral C(v),algal turf T(v),the density of parrotfish P(v)and the opinion of human opinion X(v).The stochastic SCGNNs process is applied to formulate the SEDmodel based on the sample statistics,testing,accreditation and *** different variations of the SED have been provided to authenticate the stochastic SCGNNs performance through the statics for training,accreditation,and testing are 77%,12%and 11%,*** obtained numerical performances have been compared with the Runge-Kutta approach to solve the *** reduction of mean square error(MSE)is used to investigate the numericalmeasures through the SCGNNs for solving the SED *** precision of the SCGNNs is validated through the comparison of the results and the absolute error *** reliability of the SCGNNs is performed by using the correlation values,state transitions(STs),error histograms(EHs),MSE measures and regression analysis.

An Artificial Approach for the Fractional Order Rape and Its Control Model

The current investigations provide the solutions of the nonlinear fractional order mathematical rape and its controlmodel using the strength of artificial neural networks(ANNs)along with the Levenberg-Marquardt backpropagation approach(LMBA),i.e.,artificial neural networks-Levenberg-Marquardt backpropagation approach(ANNs-LMBA).The fractional order investigations have been presented to find more realistic results of the mathematical form of the rape and its control *** differential mathematical form of the nonlinear fractional order mathematical rape and its control model has six classes:susceptible native girls,infected immature girls,susceptible knowledgeable girls,infected knowledgeable girls,susceptible rapist population and infective rapist *** rape and its control differential system using three different fractional order values is authenticated to perform the correctness of *** data is used to present the rape and its control differential system is designated as 70%for training,14%for authorization and 16%for *** obtained performances of the ANNs-LMBA are compared with the dataset of the Adams-Bashforth-Moulton *** substantiate the consistency,aptitude,validity,exactness,and capability of the LMBA neural networks,the obtained numerical values are provided using the state transitions(STs),correlation,regression,mean square error(MSE)and error histograms(EHs).

National trend of heart failure and other cardiovascular diseases in people living with human immunodeficiency virus

BACKGROUND As people living with human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)(PLWH)enjoy longer life expectancy with highly effective antiretroviral therapy,they are encountering challenging cardiovascular health *** To retrospectively examine the increasing burden of cardiovascular diseases in PLWH over the past *** All hospitalizations for heart failure(HF),ischemic heart disease(IHD),and cerebrovascular disease(CeVD)in PLWH were identified using the International Classification of Diseases,Ninth Revision,Clinical Modification(ICD-9-CM)and ICD-10-CM codes in the National Inpatient Sample from 2008 to *** included number of hospitalizations,in-hospital mortality,length of stay,and total hospital *** of the outcomes from 2008 to 2018 were analyzed using Cochran-Armitage_(trend)test and simple linear *** The number of hospitalizations for HF in PLWH increased from 4212 in 2008 to 6700 in 2018(P_(trend)<0.01).Similar increasing_(trend)was seen with those for IHD and CeVD over the decade(P_(trend)<0.01).A decreasing_(trend)of in-hospital mortality was observed in all hospitalizations of PLWH(P_(trend)<0.01)and CeVD in PLWH(P_(trend)<0.01),but not in those for HF(P_(trend)=0.67)and IHD(P_(trend)=0.13).The_(trend)of length of stay was decreasing in all hospitalizations of PLWH(P_(trend)<0.01),but increasing in those for HF in PLWH(P_(trend)<0.01).An increasing_(trend)of total hospital charge was observed in hospitalizations for HF,IHD,and CeVD(P_(trend)<0.01).CONCLUSION The burden of cardiovascular diseases has significantly increased in hospitalizations of PLWH from 2008 to *** efforts are needed to address the additional cardiovascular risks in this vulnerable population.

Giant splenic artery aneurysm presenting with massive upper gastrointestinal bleeding:A case report and review of literature

BACKGROUND Splenic artery aneurysm(SAA)and pseudoaneurysm are rare vessel’s *** is often symptomatic and secondary to pancreatitis or *** SAA is the most common aneurysm of visceral *** contrast to pseudoaneurysm,SAA is usually asymptomatic until the rupture,with high mortality *** clinical onset of SSA’s rupture is a massive life-threatening bleeding with hemodynamic instability,usually into the free peritoneal space and more rarely into the gastrointestinal *** SUMMARY We describe the case of a 35-year-old male patient,with negative past medical history,who presented to the emergency department for massive upper gastrointestinal bleeding,severe anemia and *** esophagogastroduodenoscopy performed in emergency showed a gastric bulging in the greater curvature/posterior wall with a small erosion on its surface,with a visible vessel,but no active *** injection therapy with cyanoacrylate glue was *** contrast-enhanced computed tomography was carried out due to the clinical scenario and the unclear endoscopic aspect:The radiological examination showed a giant SAA which was adherent to posterior stomach wall,and some smaller aneurysms of the left gastric and ileocolic *** of the high risk of a two-stage rupture of the giant SAA with dramatic outcome,the patient underwent immediate open surgery with aneurysmectomy,splenectomy and distal pancreatectomy with a good postoperative *** The management of a ruptured giant SAA into the stomach can be successful with surgical approach.

Microbiota modification by probiotic supplementation reduces colitis associated colon cancer in mice

AIM To investigate the effect of probiotic supplementation during the development of an experimental model of colitis associated colon cancer(CAC). METHODS C57 BL/6 mice received an intraperitoneal injection of azoxymethane(10 mg/kg), followed by three cycles of sodium dextran sulphate diluted in water(5% w/v). Probiotic group received daily a mixture of Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacil us rhamnosus and Bifidobacterium bifidum. Microbiota composition was assessed by 16 Sr RNA Illumina Hi Seq sequencing. Colon samples were collected for histological analysis. Tumor cytokines was assessed by Real Time-PCR(Polymerase Chain Reaction); and serum cytokines by Multiplex assay. All tests were two-sided. The level of significance was set at P < 0.05. Graphs were generated and statistical analysis performed using the software Graph Pad Prism 5.0. The project was approved by the institutional review board committee. RESULTS At day 60 after azoxymethane injection, the mean number of tumours in the probiotic group was 40% lower than that in the control group, and the probiotic group exhibited tumours of smaller size(< 2 mm)(P < 0.05). There was no difference in richness and diversity between groups. However, there was a significant difference in beta diversity in the multidimensional scaling analysis. The abundance of the genera Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium, Allobaculum, Clostridium XI and Clostridium XVⅢ increased in the probiotic group(P < 0.05). The microbial change was accompanied by reduced colitis, demonstrated by a 46% reduction in the colon inflammatory index; reduced expression of the serum chemokines RANTES and Eotaxin; decreased p-IKK and TNF-α and increased IL-10 expression in the colon. CONCLUSION Our results suggest a potential chemopreventive effect of probiotic on CAC. Probiotic supplementation changes microbiota structure and regulates the inflammatory response, reducing colitis and preventing CAC.

Emotions in Language Teaching: A Review of Studies on Teacher Emotions in Brazil

In this paper, we wish to respond to the call for expansion on our knowledge about teacher beliefs(Kubanyiova & Feryok, 2015) and discuss findings of studies on teacher emotions conducted in Brazil with both in-service and pre-service teachers of English. More specifically, we focus 1) on the kinds of emotions these teachers have reported feeling, and 2) on the relationship between beliefs and emotions. The results have shown: 1) the diversity of emotions teachers experience in their teacher education;and 2) how these emotions interact in dynamic and complex ways with their beliefs about teaching English in Brazil. The findings suggest that looking into the interrelationships between emotions and beliefs can shed light onto our understanding of the teachers’ thinking and practices in their contexts. Implications and questions for further research will be discussed in light of the studies reviewed.

Remote Sensing Applied to the Extraction of Road Geometric Features Based on Optimum Path Forest Classifiers, Northeastern Brazil

One of the principal difficulties related to road safety management in Brazil is the lack of data on road projects, especially those on rural roads, which makes it difficult to use road safety studies and models from other countries as a reference. Updating road networks through the use of hyperspectral remote sensing images can be a good alternative. However, accurately recognizing and extracting hyperspectral images from roads has been recognized as a challenging task in the processing of hyperspectral data. In order to solve the aforementioned challenges, Hyperion hyperspectral images were combined with the Optimum Forest Path (OPF) algorithm for supervised classification of rural roads and the effectiveness of the OPF and SVM classifiers when applied to these areas was compared. Both classifiers produced reasonable results, however, the OPF algorithm outperformed SVM. The higher classification accuracy obtained by the OPF was mainly attributed to the ability to better distinguish between regions of exposed soil and unpaved roads.
