The expansion of the green economy agenda has increased the attention on ecoinnovations globally,with issues related to water stress identified as one of the major bottlenecks for sustainable economic *** evolutionary economic theory,this study investigates the industrial dynamics of the water sector,comparing China and Europe using patent *** comparison feeds into the“catching up”literature,addressing the challenges of the“green economy”agenda in different regions in various stages of *** highlight the neglected micro-dynamics of water innovation,investigating the roles of different innovators in the development of water technological trajectories,with a special focus on water innovations closely related to climate change adaptation and mitigation *** water innovators(universities)were found to be more important in China than in *** were also identified between Europe and China;big companies were found to be the main innovative leaders with no substantial changes documented over the timeframe ***,the finding implies a rapid Chinese technological catching up of water technologies in the last three decades,where our research has pointed towards the role of redirection of Chinese policies with a stronger focus on sustainable *** analysis,overall,sheds light on the state and nature of the globalizing green growth agenda.

Design of Differential Multi-point feeding DualPolarized SISL Antenna Based on CM Analysis

Dual-polarized antennas are required in the current mobile communication to increase the channel capacity and reducing multi-path effects. Utilizing characteristic mode analysis (CMA), this paper present a five-patch substrate integrated suspended line (SISL) antenna with suppressed unwanted higher-order modes (HOMs) achieves an enhanced bandwidth by using differential multi-point feeding (MPF) systems. Compared to single point feeding(SPF) systems, the proposed dual-polarized SISL antenna with the MPF system demonstrates a bandwidth 1.87times wider. The novel SISL feeding system incorporates two pairs of differentially-fed branch line feed structures. A prototype of the proposed differential-fed antenna is fabricated and measured, showing good agreement between simulated and measured results. The dual-polarization SISL antenna can achieve realized gain from 8.1–10.8 dBi within a working frequency from 3.17 to 3.61 GHz (12.98%). Moreover, utilizing low-cost substrates, the proposed SISL antenna has the potential for 5G applications.

Introduction: The authors wanted to study the prevalence of ocular trauma in the ophthalmology unit of the CSREF of Kati. Patients and method: This is a retrospective study, covering the period from January to December 2015, carried out in the ophthalmology unit of the CSREF in Kati. Results: The sample consisted of 568 patients, or 6.82% of ophthalmological consultations. Children aged 0 to 14 years accounted for 154 (27.11%) of the trauma cases. Bruises constitute the main circumstance (58.1%) of eye trauma, followed by domestic accidents (15.6%). Closed globe ocular trauma was the main type of trauma (61.6%), followed by ocular adnexal trauma (30.1%) and open globe trauma (8.3%) in which the penetrating wound was the lesion, the least common (2.6%) but the most serious. Medical treatment was the most used therapeutic modality in 82.4% of cases, followed by surgery with 17.6% of cases. The evolution of the lesions after treatment was favorable in 85.6% of cases and unfavorable in 14.4% of cases. Complications were observed in 5.8% of cases and sequelae in 8.6% of cases. Conclusion: Ocular trauma constitutes an important reason for ophthalmological consultation at the CSREF of Kati. The severity of some of these lesions requires frequent recourse to surgery. The complexity of the treatment should encourage us to favor preventive measures.

Sleep is a critical part of our daily *** impacts every organ and system of our body,from the brain to the heart and from cellular metabolism to immune function.A consistent daily schedule of quality of sleep makes a world of difference to our health and *** its importance,so many individuals have trouble sleeping *** quality sleep has such a detrimental impact on many aspects of our lives;it affects our thinking,learning,memory,and ***,and most poignantly,poor quality sleep over time increases the risk of developing a serious medical condition,including neurodegenerative *** this review,we focus on a potentially new non-pharmacological treatment that improves the quality of *** treatment,called photobiomodulation,involves the application of very specific wavelengths of light to body *** animal models,these wavelengths,when applied at night,have been reported to stimulate the removal of fluid and toxic waste-products from the brain;that is,they improve the brain’s inbuilt house-keeping *** suggest that transcranial nocturnal photobiomodulation,by improving brain function at night,will help improve the health and well-being of many individuals,by enhancing the quality of their sleep.

Sinkholes and cavities can represent serious hazards to human safety and urban infrastructures,cause roadbed subsidence,and so *** is therefore essential to evaluate various sinkholes in different depths and sizes to assess the risk of *** paper evaluates the effect of different cavities on Rayleigh-wave propagation and body(P)wave ***(R)wave propagation is analyzed according to the classical multi-channel analysis of surface waves(MASW)method also considering the R-wave *** seismic traces are computed by means of finite element modeling(FEM)for cavity and intrusion at different depths and ***,field acquisition data is used to verify the detection effect of a cavity on R-and *** results show that the presence of backscattered R-waves and the changes in the R-wave velocity spectrum can help in cavity *** possible evidence is represented by significant changes in the refraction travel times over the cavity *** can be concluded that the field data are in good agreement with the synthetic,and it could be effective to consider the results of both R-and P-wave analysis in order to efficiently identify the cavities.

Life expectancy in industrialized and developed countries will continue to increase in the near future. Consequently, over the last years, the incidence and social impact of neurodegenerative diseases have increased, highlighting an urgent need for new and more effective therapeutic strategies to counter these terrible disorders. While we tend to think about neurodegenerative diseases as conditions that are uniquely associated with the elder age, these diseases cover a diverse range across the entire lifespan, even affecting infants and children.

Chanarin Dorfman Syndrome(CDS;MIM:275630)is a rare autosomal recessive disorder,characterized by triacylglycerol(TG)accumulation in lipid droplets(LDs)within different tissues including skin,liver,skeletal muscle,bone marrow,eyes,ears,and central nervous system.1 In CDS,the prevalent and always observed clinical feature is a non-bullous congenital ichthyosiform erythroderma(NCIE).

Toxic effects of selenium on marine fish

This paper deals with the toxic effects of selenium uptakes in the tissues of marine fish. The selenium concentration in skin, liver, muscle and gill of the fish were determined by proton induce X-ray emission (PIXE). The enzyme levels in liver tissues also were measured and evaluated . The results are shown that 50% lethal dose was LD50= 0. 29μg/g and it was found independent on the injected doses. The enzymes in serviving fish showed a gradual and complete recovery during the observation period. A very low Se uptake in muscle was found. The biological half lives of Se concentration in liver and gill were nearly identical, while the skin exhibited a half life 2. 5 times greater.
