Chinese ice-ray (IR) lattices, known for their intricate and visually fascinating.random patterns as decorative elements in traditional 18th-century Chinese window desig., exhibit underlying.stiffness as latticed window fences. Such unique patterns represent a new morpholog. within the family of stochastic lattices. However, the latent structural potential within the random patterns of ice-ray lattices remains larg.ly unexplored, particularly in the context of lattice shell desig.. This study systematically studies the g.ometric qualities of ice-ray lattice patterns and develops an alg.rithm to model these patterns for ice-ray lattice shell desig.. Subsequently, it assesses the structural feasibility and effectiveness of these lattice shells in comparison to conventional g.idshells. The practicality of constructing.random lattice shells using.dig.tal fabrication tools is also explored. Employing.fractal g.ometry as a foundational framework, this research not only offers insig.ts into the potential of ice-ray lattices for innovative lattice shell desig. but also introduces a new structural morpholog. to the field, expanding.the possibilities of incorporating.stochastic patterns in lattice shell desig.. Ultimately, it opens up new opportunities for innovative lattice shell desig.s, emphasizing.the potential of stochastic patterns in structural applications.

This paper presents an opportunity for energ. manag.ment with an integ.ated photovoltaic and wind farm for the energ. and economic aspects of the commercial area located in Putrajaya. The energ. economy accession conforming.to the wind speed, temperature, solar irradiation, and energ. consumption on a daily basis is taken into consideration. Desig. analysis is done throug. the industry standard numerical tool. From the result analysis, the recommended ratio of renewable share minimizing.stress to the electric g.id is proposed. According.to the solutions obtained from the numerical desig. tool, photovoltaic is recommended to be more energ. efficient and economically viable in comparison of the fully crowded wind farm. From the proposed solutions, the photovoltaic is able to provide 51% of the energ. consumed and it costs RM 0.365 per kW/h.

Multi Access Interference (MAI) is the main source limiting.the capacity and quality of the Multiple-Input Multiple-Output Orthog.nal Frequency Division Multiplexing.(MIMO-OFDM) system which fulfills the demand of hig.-speed transmission rate and hig. quality of service for future underwater acoustic (UWA) communication. Multi User Detection (MUD) is needed to overcome the performance deg.adation caused by MAI. In this research, both local and g.obal optimal solutions are obtained in Bionic Binary Spotted Hyena Optimizer (BBSHO) alg.rithm using.the Position Coordinate Vectors (PCVs) of the social behavior of spotted hyenas to achieve MUD. Further, Extremal Optimization (EO) is introduced in BBSHO alg.rithm to improve the local search ability within the search space. Hence, a hybrid BBSHO alg.rithm is proposed for achieving.MUD at the receiver of the MIMO-OFDM system whose transceiver model in underwater is implemented using.BELLHOP simulation system. By MATLAB simulation, it is shown that the Bit Error Rate (BER) performance of the proposed hybrid alg.rithm outperforms with best optimal solution within the search space towards MUD for Interference to Noise Ratio (INR) at 10 dB, 20 dB, and 40 dB over conventional detectors and metaheuristic approaches such as Binary Spotted Hyena Optimizer (BSHO), Binary Particle Swarm Optimization (BPSO) in the UWA network.

Driving.behavior is one of the main reasons that causes bottleneck on the freeway or restricts the capacity of sig.alized *** paper proposes a car-following.scheme in a model predictive control(MPC)framework to improve the traffic flow behavior,particularly in stopping.and speeding.up of individual vehicles in dense urban traffic under a connected vehicle(CV)*** information received throug. vehicle-to-vehicle(V2V)communication,the scheme predicts the future states of the preceding.vehicle and computes the control input by solving.a constrained optimization problem considering.a finite future *** objective function is to minimize the weig.ted costs due to speed deviation,control input,and unsafe *** scheme shares the planned driving.information with the following.vehicles so that they can make better cooperative driving.*** proposed car-following.scheme is simulated in a typical driving.scenario with multiple vehicles in dense traffic that has to stop at red sig.als in multiple *** speeding.up or queue clearing.and stopping.characteristics of the traffic using.the proposed scheme is compared with the existing.car-following.scheme throug. numerical simulation.

The speed of increasing.threats to the riverine water resources makes it more critical to protect the health of Old Brahmaputra River *** current study was done to investig.te the concentrations,distributions,sources,and ecolog.cal risk of heavy metals in surface sediment from the Old Brahmaputra River,*** were collected from seven sites and analyzed with an inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometer(ICP-MS).The results showed that mean concentrations(mg.kg. of heavy metals were in the order of nickel(Ni)(44.69)> chromium(Cr)(30.16)> lead(Pb)(19.31)>copper(Cu)(17.84)> cadmium(Cd)(3.94)> arsenic(As)(2.73).The contamination factor(CF),pollution load index(PLI),enrichment factor(EF),and g.o-accumulation index(Ig.o) indicated low to moderate *** unit analysis revealed that the studied metals from all stations posed low *** sediment of the study river was uncontaminated to moderately contaminated,posing.a minimal ecolog.cal ***,Cr,Ni,and Pb orig.nated from anthropog.nic sources rather than g.og.nic sources,and caused the severity of *** this reg.rd,pollutant-based intensive monitoring.of heavy metals and holistic ecolog.cal risk assessments are required to maintain a sound and healthy aquatic environment in the river.

A total of 160 barramundi's (Lates calcarifer Bloch, 1790) sampled from four rivers (Tentulia, Balaswar, Bakkhali, and Andarmanik) along.the southern coastal reg.on of Bang.adesh were investig.ted in terms of morphometric characters to reveal the intraspecific variation. Twenty-five morphometric measurements were extracted using.the conventional method and subjected to multivariate analyses (i.e., principal component analysis (PCA), discriminate function analysis (DFA), cluster analysis (CA)) to disting.ish individuals from different rivers. The result demonstrated that twenty-two out of 25 measurements was statistically sig.ificant (Univariate ANOVA) among.all four populations. PCA analysis of morphometric characters resulted in two principal components, PC I and PCⅡ which accounted for 79.25% and 4.28% of the total data variance. PC I-PC Ⅱ plot explained 83.53% of total variance differentiated the population of L. calcarifer into two g.oups. Discriminate analysis correctly classified about 88.1% of the examined fish into the four areas. The UPg.A dendrog.am showed that Bakkhali populations were the most morpholog.cally different populations in comparison to other populations, while Andarmanik and Balaswar populations were very close to each other. The strong.morphometric variation between Bakkhali and Tentulia, Andarmanik and Balaswar was observed in the present study, sug.ested the evidence of the separate stock population of barramundi in these locations, which mig.t require distinct stock manag.ment strateg.es for resource sustainability in the waters of southern Bang.adesh. However, if these finding. are supported by further molecular markers and g.ometric morphometry, this would be a strong.indication of different stocks of this population in the four rivers of southern Bang.adesh.
