The effects of brassinosteroid signaling on shoot and root development have been characterized in great detail but a simple consistent positive or negative impact on a basic cellular parameter was not *** this study,we combined digital 3D single-cell shape analysis and single-cell mRNA sequencing to charac-terize root meristems and mature root segments of brassinosteroid-blind mutants and wild *** resul-tant datasets demonstrate that brassinosteroid signaling affects neither cell volume nor cell proliferation ***,brassinosteroid signaling is essential for the precise orientation of cell division planes and the extent and timing of anisotropic cell ***,we found that the cell-aligning effects of brassinosteroid signaling can propagate to normalize the anatomy of both adjacent and distant brassinosteroid-blind cells through non-cell-autonomous functions,which are sufficient to restore growth ***,single-cell transcriptome data discern directly brassinosteroid-responsive genes from genes that can react non-cell-autonomously and highlight arabinogalactans as sentinels of brassinosteroid-dependent anisotropic cell expansion.

Advanced high alumina refractory castables of ultra-low and to cement types, are well-known because of their ability on developing similar and/or superior thermal and mechanical properties. Following the recent trend of including nanoparticles in refractory castables, in this work, it is presented a novel way to obtain the benefit effects on the thermal and mechanical properties, promoted by the development in situ, of alumina’s nanoparticles in the matrix of castable (85 wt% al2O3). The alumina nanoparticles were originated in situ after firing, due to the pyrolysis and oxidation of an aqueous resin, produced by the Pechini process. The resin played a double role, one as mixing liquid vehicle and the other as the aluminum oxide nanoparticles precursor. The results indicate a strong increase in flexural strength and elastic modulus as well as leading to a higher residual strength after thermal shock.

Acetylation is a post-translational modification that is regulated by two antagonistic enzymes,histone acetyltransferases(HATs)and histone deacetylases(HDACs).HATs transfer the acetyl group from acetyl-CoA to lysine residues of proteins while HDACs remove it(Yakhine-Diop et al.,2018b).The impairment of HAT or HDAC activity elicits changes in the protein acetylation status which disturb several cellular processes,among others,gene expression,autophagy etc.,leading finally to cell *** enzymes are associated with Parkinson’s disease(PD)*** dopaminergic cells,neurotoxins provoke apoptotic cell death by increasing histone acetylation *** paraquat(Song et al.,2011)and rotenone(Feng et al.,2015)reduce HDAC activity,dieldrin(Song et al.,2010)enhances HAT *** in vivo,paraquat-induced upregulation ofα-synuclein triggers histone hypoacetylation.

BACKGROUND Meckel’s diverticulum （MD） occurs predominantly in chil-dren and adolescents. It is rarely diagnosed in adults. Preoperative diagnosis is diffcult due to low sensitivity of the radiological imaging studies. The role of video capsule endoscopy （VCE） in the diagnosis of MD is unknown, and the endoscopic patterns are not defned. We will describe four of our cases of MD evaluated with VCE and make a review of the literature focusing on the endoscopic *** SUMmarYWe present four cases of MD confirmed by surgery. They were all adult males with ages going from 18 to 50 years, referred to our service from 2004 to 2018, due to obscure gastrointestinal bleeding （OGIB）. TheyGarcía-Compeán D et al . Merckel’s diverticulum diagnosis by VCEhad a history of 1 mo to 10 years of overt and occult bleeding episodes. Laboratory blood test showed an iron-deficiency anemia from 4 to 9 g/dL of hemoglo-bin that required multiple hospitalizations and blood transfusions in all cases. Repeated upper digestive endoscopies and colonoscopies were negative. Small bowel was examined with VCE, which revealed double lumen images in all cases, one with polyps and three with circumferential ulcers in the diverticulum. However, based on VCE findings, preoperative diagnosis of MD was suggested only in two patients. Capsule was retain-ed in one patient, which was recovered with surgery. The anatomopathological report revealed ulcerated ectopic gastric mucosa in all *** is useful for the diagnosis of MD. However, endo-scopic characteristics must be recognized in order to establish preoperative diagnosis.

The effects of kafirins on protein and amino acid ileal digestibility have not been evaluated in vivo in *** aim of this study was to determine the effects of protein profile on apparent ileal digestibility(AID)of amino acids. We used a sorghum hybrid with low tannin content(al kafirins had less content of y-and al-kafirins and higher content of β-and a2-kafirins than that with lower content of total kafirins. Two sorghum-soybean meal(SBM) diets were formulated: 1) low kafirin(LK) content(32.2 g/kg) and 2) high kafirin(HK) content(48.1 g/kg). A control diet(maize-SBM) and a reference SBM-diet were also prepared. The reference diet was fed to all pigs following the experimental period and was used to estimate the AID of cereals by the difference method. 'T' cannulas were fixed in the distal ileum of 18 barrows(6 by treatment), divided into 2 groups of 9 pigs. The pigs were fed 2.5 times their maintenance requirement of digestible energy(110 kcal/kg BW00.75). The AID of dry matter,protein, amino acids, and energy of the experimental diets was measured;the AID of cereals(maize, LK sorghum and HK sorghum) was estimated by the difference method. The maize-SBM diet was more digestible than the sorghum-SBM diets, only with respect to valine(P aline in the maize-SBM diet was higher than that in sorghum-SBM diets. The changes in kafirin profile between the diets only affected the AID of threonine(P als, maize exhibited greater AID than sorghum, with respect to valine(P < 0.01) and serine(P < 0.10). A comparison of sorghum with LK and HK content showed that the AID of threonine and serine increased by 50.5(P < 0.001) and 19.2 percentage units(P < 0.05) in the latter, respec:tively.
